How To Keep Things From Bouncing While Working Out?
susanfaye replied to kelliecalgary's topic in The Gals' Room
I use compression spandex for the bottom and usually I go with nike sports bras about a size too small. That way it keeps everything where it should be. I started doing that when I played college basketball and have done it wih sucess every since. You can get compression spandex at most sporting goods stores. I usually wear mens because they fit me better than womens. -
Three Weeks After Surgery, How Much Should I Lose
susanfaye replied to ssgtko's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi Karen, I'm three weeks out and I have lost 21 lbs. -
I get cramps in my side that go around to my back. I actually stayed an extra night in the hospital for it. The dr gave me lorazapam. I do wish they they had sent me home with a muscle relaxer. I think my recovery would be much easier. I pulled that muscle running from my main incision. It is slooooow healing! Btw I'm almost 3 weeks out.

Today I pureed my tuna, miracle whip, and pickles and mixe it with cottage cheese. Mmmmm! I loved it!

Does anyone still have severe pain there? My Dr said it was a pulled muscle and stitch from sneezing. But OMG! It is still soooo painful! I'm two weeks out -

Usually there is one incision larger where the stomach is pulled out of. That is what is painful to me.

It does go away by eating more calories, but it will also slow your weight loss. My surgeon said I want to keep ketosis going as long as I can to burn excess fat better.

Constipation Is No Joke
susanfaye replied to Lucy0628's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Milk of magnesia works really well for me and I never have had cramping with it. -
I saw the surgeon today. Since starting the preop diet I have lost 26lbs. Everything looks great. The right side pain is a pulled muscle and popped stitch caused by sneezing of all things! It is getting better but he says it will just take time. I was cleared for the treadmill and light weights so the gym will be my new friend! I started pureed foods today. I had tuna salad and cottage cheese. Mmmm! But I'M SOOOO STUFFED! It was delicious and I had no problems tolerating the heavier food.

Hi I'm Susan. I am 36 with three wonderful children 15, 13, and 12. I have been married to my husband Sean for almost 14 years. I am Office Manager for a Political Consultant and I love my job! We love to travel and have moved to three different states in 4 years looking for the right fit I guess. But it is always back home to AZ lol! I have been overweight since highschool but didn't hit the morbidly obese mark until after my last child was born and I had a hysterectomy. That added to hypothyroid and I balloned right up. I have managed to loose 50 here and ther only to gain it back plus some. I decided to have surgery because I wanted a permanent solution to my weight problem. I know the sleeve is a tool, not a magic wand, but so far I love it. I'm hoping to finally be healthy and keep up with my family. Good luck to all of you!

About One Year And Feel Like Failure
susanfaye replied to kltrn75's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm only two weeks out, so I'm afraid I'm not much help. I have read a lot of posts regarding stalls saying go back. To basics to bust the stall. Many suggest going back to a liquid diet for a short time and channging up your exercise routine. Good luck to you! -
