slojo replied to EmilyIsSleeved's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
From what I understand it just isn't absorbed well by the stomache. Especially now since ours is so small. -

Belly And Clothing Prolong My Incision Healing
slojo replied to cslewis01's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgeon said i could clean that and put a piece of surgical (sterile) tape over it to prevent rubbing and change it a few times a day if draining. If not draining daily...A non stick gauze changed often if it is really draining... -

Does Our B12 Have To Be Sublingual?
slojo replied to EmilyIsSleeved's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
there is a nasal b-12 called Ener-B you can get it at GNC it is a little gel drop that goes in your nose and is absorbed that way. I prefer the sublingual, it's also cheaper... (the sublingual is cheaper)..You couldn''t swallow enough B-12 pills todo any good for you.... -
That's awesome. you're jammin' girl!

Question About "i Don't Feel Full" Statements
slojo replied to fattymcfatterson's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree with you totally. I don't WANT that "full" feeling to be like it was before. I want to stop before i get to that point... I am 6 days out and i am doing probably about 1/3 cup at a time and plan to continue it. seem s like if i do 1/2 cup its too much right now. It depends on how quickly i take in the liquid.... -
I'm the 28th, that's not real close but in a few weeks we'll all be in about the same stage of our sleevehood!

I feel you should weigh what you want to weigh. If its 200lbs you're better off than if you weighed 300lbs, If you look and feel good at a goal weight that is above the area that THEY call obese SO WHAT... as long as you're happy there, go for it!

Changed To Vsg (From Lap-Band) 45 Min. Before Surgery!
slojo commented on slojo's blog entry in slojo's Blog
I feel like i'm ready to go to work, and my drain is already out. It came out day 3. I can get by without any physical straining activity at my job. I had it okay'd with the DON. I can't afford to take off more than 2 weeks. I had to take off to go have the surgery done in mexico....But i feel good. I've been going for walks, doing light housework, no lifting of course for 4-6 weeks... -
Im So Depressed!
slojo replied to lizzybean3377@yahoo.com's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
it is not unusual to have a "Let-down" period and or depression after surgery of any kind. But going to a psychiatrist is always a good decision if you feel like you need it. We All could use a psychiatrist truth be known... I'm 5 days out and i'm having a jet-lagged, let-down period that started yesterday...I think it will lift when i'm feeling better. I went for a few short walks yesterday and today and it helped alot. Trying to gain support from family/friends/and these forums...Hang in there it will lift soon hopefully... -
I had a breakdown point on the pre-op as well. Had dorito's and pepperjack cheese one night, naked at 300am. LOL!
