Wow! Good for you! You look beautiful and happy! -
Yes! Not just the pull size but Dr and Meds in general. I'm having a problem with my knee, but trying to keep exercising. I went to the orthopedic Dr and he put me on Celebrex. It did not go down well, I kept trying to take it but went in for a follow up with gastric sleeve PA and she freaked. She said Celebrex is so harsh on the stomach. I talk to the pharmacy and they made several suggestion of creams, when I told the orthopedic Dt he said she didn't know just keep taking the Celebrex, I don't go to him anymore but I still have no relief for my knee. I think most Dr do not understand our surgery!

Before and after 11 months !
mjrevel replied to mjrevel's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
My girls! Lol don't look to bad. Nothing is where it was five years ago! I do arm weights during commercials when watching TV. I try to stay high protein. 70 grams of protein less then 35 grams of carbs and around 900 cal. Some days I go over. If I have a bad few days, ill go back on the protein shake and drink only that for a few days to get the weight coming off again. It is getting harder to loose now. The only thing I have given up entirely is carbonated drinks. No bubbles for this girl! I also have great support from my husband and daughter. I truly believe this is the secret to success! Good luck to everyone and thanks for the compliments! I feel great!!!! -

Thanks so much! I do feel great! Ten years younger at least. I'm not at goal yet, 15lbs to go. I'm coming up on one year and I'm working hard to get to goal. I started at 251 now at 165. I have went from a 42DD bra size to a 36C and I love it. It's great to be able to buy a pretty bra! It his I'd the best thing I've ever done! I'm happy if I don't loose another lb! -

I have to honest. I'm doing very little exercise. I walk my dogs and work on my feet all day but that's about it. I know I need to do more. I do track my food on Livestrong app and that really helps. I stay between 900 and 1200 calories a day. I eat a lot of protein and mushroom. Blueberries are my favorite snack.

A bliss doctor is covered which means you are covered for most complications that may come with surgery. It's insurance. I have three year coverage. Dr Norwood is awesome. -
I'm the chick! i

I was self pay so not sure about insurance. I wish you the best of luck in your journey. I still can't believe i did it. Six months out and down 64lbs. My experience has been easy and realistic. I'm very happy and wish you the same.

Today was my six month checkup. I'm down 64lbs and I fill great. I started at 251 and I'm now 187 and I'm not done. I had a great appointment with my PA today. We talked about a few things to get me back on track. I've been drinking with meals and she said this is why I'm getting hungry so soon after a meal. After looking at my food journal she said I should eat more solid foods and less soup. That soup will more out of stomach faster causing me to eat Moore through out the day. I knew these thing but slowly slipped back to these habits. I needed the reminder, I hope this helps other if your doing the same things. Over all I'm still happy with my weight loss at this point.

I was feeling so good yesterday. Today someone told me how good I look BUT she thought my thighs would get smaller. I just wanted to cry! I have big thighs and bootie, no mater how much weight I loose. I think some people will never get that people are built different. Surgery doesn't change that. I just saw Jennifer Hudson in the weight watchers commercial and she is amazing with big thighs! I know in my heart it's going super great but today was a little set back. I have to get over what people say. Is anyone else dealing with a mean comment from a close friend.

Thanks for the encouragement! Today is a new day!

I had my four month check up today. I'm down 56lbs. I have had a few stalls but over all its been slow and steady. I made it through the holidays with no gain. It's hard to remember when that happen last. I'm feel great, this is the best thing I have ever done for myself:)))

I made bad food choices today! So many people bring me Christmas candy and cookies! So nice but I don't know what they are thinking. All my friends know I had surgery. I have to make better choices tomorrow! Sorry just venting!
