Things I Cant Wait For People To Not Say...
Kalimomof3 replied to gelen's_change's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I want to be healthier, I want to get rid of my stupid C-pap for sleep apnea, I want to walk up and downstairs without it hurting my back and ankles.I want my BP to go back down where it should be. I want all of that and more.... The more being I want to look SMOKIN HOT again !!! I am not gonna say it is for health reasons only bc that would be a big fat lie. I want to feel good about myself when I look in the mirror and not be deluded... -

How Long Did Everyone Wait To Go Back To Work

I don't think they can prevent you from using your sick if you have them.. If you are in pain or having issues you ARE SICK so I would use them. -

Maybe you are just sensitive or allergic to bananas? I am pre op but have always loved bananas and I have recently noticed that if I eat a banana on an empty stomach I get a terrible stomach ache. I researched it a little and read that for some people a stomach ache after eating bananas is the only indication of an allergy. I also read that people with a Latex allergy which I have sometimes also have issues with bananas and tomatoes and I have both.

I can't wait for my mother to stop saying " you just hab to hab a self control" she says it just like that too she's a Crazy Asian Lady lol.... Really though it is especially annoying because my mom is one of those people who eats tons knows nothing about dieting and weighs 108 pounds soaking wet.... I obviously inherited my metabolism from my father. -
I Can't Wait To Not Have To...
Kalimomof3 replied to BrickHouse's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I will be happy when I am not having my Asian Mom not give me those disapproving glances when I eat and to her not saying " your so pretty but just dont gain any more weight". I am tired of the the "Skinny B!tches" checking my husband out and giving their looks of disbelief when they see who he is with (me) I will be "Skinny B!tch" too only maybe not so much a B!tch.Knowing my Mother in law won't be talking about my weight to my husbands entire family behind my back and instead she will be talking and speculating on the lack there of but I am not telling her a thing . I look forward to not getting Fat Girl Rash on my thighs where they rub together when I wear dresses in the summer. Wearing a swimsuit that isn't black and doesn't look like an old lady suit. Not always feeling like a "Schlumpadinka" in my clothes, -

Where are you having surgery smell bug?I am having mine done at SAMMC ( formerly BAMC). One of the people in their program stated that they would refer us to plastic surgery in their MTF or through network but that Tri Care "rarely" covered it. I thought they worded it that way for a reason. They said to have it done at MTF if tricare does not cover that the federal govt. requires that they charge us a certain amount of money but of course he didn't disclose how much it would be. I have Tricare prime as well. -
At What Weight Limit Did You Say "you Have Had Enough"?
Kalimomof3 replied to Gonnabeslim1day's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
234 I am 5'2 @ 234 I was 14 pounds heavier than when I was full term pregnant with my last child. It wasn't because I had a baby and never lost the weight either I got down to 182 when he was 6 months old but through crazy yo yo dieting I had somehow managed to gain it all back and then some.Everything hurt my ankles would kill in the morning when I had to walk down my stairs and my back always hurts. My husband deployed and while he was gone I lost 22 pounds he came back in June and 8 pounds has crept back up on me I had already started the process to get WLS so I am going forward full steam. I have sleep apnea (use a cpap)and high blood pressure that I haven't been put on meds for yet and I hope I don't have to before I get my sleeve.I am 32 years young and want my body to feel that way no more creaking and cracking when I walk around. -

Full Liquids Fill Me Up- How Do You Get All Protein In?
Kalimomof3 replied to jennrus's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
As a nurse I would say hydration is key drink your water as priority 1 you don't want to end up in the hospital due to dehydration.Your stomach will heal and you can work your way up to taking in enough protein over time a little more everyday. -
Rating Protein Shakes
Kalimomof3 replied to morswestford's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I don't know that they really speed it up. I know that I feel more energized when I drink them and tend to be more active because of the energy and that activity does speed weightloss. -

Rating Protein Shakes
Kalimomof3 replied to morswestford's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
What do you mean by do they work? I am pre op so I am not sure how they will work after surgery. I use them as a Meal Replacement at Breakfast time now and like them I feel like I get a little energy burst when I drink them so I was reading the label to check for hidden caffeine but haven't seen any must be all the fruit and veg stuff??. The shakes meet the requirements recommended by my clinic but are a little high in carbs @17 my clinic wants 15 or less. The shakes are thicker than other shakes at least the powder mix ones are and they are not good warm. If you look for it one of the reps or the site might have sample sizes for you to try so you are not trying them at the crazy price. I was mistaken about RTDs apparently they are not RTD they are invidual packets to take along for when you are on the go.I thought they had bottles but was confused...
