When do you buy new clothes?
RastaSleeve replied to jerilo10's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I try not to buy too many clothes because im down 50 lbs and they are just falling off so I buy everything maybe a size smaller so I can shrink into it -
I was suggested yoga and Water aerobics . I've yet to try them but the low impact might do the trick

I'm having the same exact problem my back is killing me more than ever before. my doctor believes it's because my back is used to carrying a large frame but I think that my back should be feeling a lot better that it's not carry extra weight.

Surgical glue allergic reaction
RastaSleeve posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had surgery Nov 14 and everything has been fine but my incisions on my belly button has given me pure hell. The surgical glue have me blisters in my belly button and now it just looks awful. Has anyone else had this reaction other than me because now it's forming a rash and I informed my doctor but he said this is the first time has ever seen this happen with all the surgeries he has done. Here's a pic below just to show the damage. And another thing my incision is healing open. I feel like my stomach looks so gross -
Surgical glue allergic reaction
RastaSleeve replied to RastaSleeve's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ive been they gave me antibiotics and told me to pack with gauze but none of that is helping tomorrow morning I'm going to go see a treatment nurse and see what they can do for me -
I was sleeved Nov 14 and I'm feeling wonderful. I'm healing really good my eating is fine and I feel almost back to my normal self. I want to get back in the gym though not doing anything extreme like weight lifting. Things like walking on the treadmill, the elliptical, getting on the bike, maybe some light arm and leg stuff. How long should I wait? I'm just so antsy. I've lost 17 pounds since surgery and im ready to tone everything now.

Well 4 days post op I was able to have full liquids I have a whole menu of items all the way up to a year you shouldn't be a week out still on clear liquids
-
Try something other than liquids. I'm one week out today I eat cottage cheese and grits. Soups with soft veggies in it. I've had eggs also but my stomach seems to tolerate many things that I'm suppose to be waiting 2 or 3 more weeks to be eating

RastaSleeve replied to jennaayyy03's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 1 week post op and I cant drink broth anymore after the hospital. But now I'm home on full liquids I have cream soups, frozen yogurt (greek) protien drinks, sugar free popsicles, silk milk, crystal light, and mio. I can even tolerate cottage cheese with fruit. It really depends on your stomach -
Im 5'2 and started at 251. I was sleeved 11/14 and spent 5 days in the hospital as of today I am 240.5. So my weight is shedding fast lol I keep looking in the mirror asking where did it come from

Your incisions look great mone are all swollen and puffy looking. Mine are also sealed with glue -
I was sleeved on wednesday I had no complications with surgery its basically my fluid intake thats keeping me here. They removed me from my iv so I wasnt so dependent on getting fluid that way but I'm just not thirsty or hungry at all. I dont feel the urge to eat or drink ever and everything I do have is forced so I feel uncomfortable did anyone else deal with this?

I dont remember anything about weight management. They do encourage you to try to lose weight while your in the classes though. Your first class is basically introduction about the 3 different procedures and what the rest of the 11 weeks covers
