Baby is almost 7 months. The pregnancy went well! I only ever had 1.5ccs removed. I need to have it put back in now. I didn't have any issues throwing up and only gained 30lbs.

Really tight in early pregnancy?
Fritzy1980 replied to Lady Lap Band's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
My band was tight in early pregnancy. I had to have 1.5ccs removed. -
2 years and 4 months after surgery, 130lbs lost, I found out I was pregnant. My cycle never regulated, it had never been anywhere near normal lol. I was tested for PCOS and it came back that I don't have it. I'm 33 years old now and 7.5 months pregnant. Don't give up hope yet!!

Congratulations!! It's a long journey but worth every second!!

You can eat after an unfill. It's actually easier lol also, constant vomiting can displace your band or cause your stomach to mushroom up through the band. You need an unfill Asap.

My surgeon only takes out fluid if you're having an issue getting or keeping food down. I was feeling stuck around 6 weeks and had 1.5ccs removed. I'm 26 weeks now and haven't been back to my surgeon. I would call the surgeon if I were you to see how they handle pregnancy. Also, make sure your obgyn knows you have a band. You will probably have monthly growth scans (ultra sounds) just to make sure everything us progressing as it should.

Thank you, and congrats to you as well!! I'm due March 26th. This is my first pregnancy so I'm not sure how it's all gonna play out yet lol. The Dr said that it looks like a girl and we well confirm Dec 27th. That's my next growth ultra sound.

Weight Gain At 25 Weeks Pg
Fritzy1980 replied to Suzyfit's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
I have a rough time with chicken if its dry, I guess that really goes for any dried out meats. I have gotten sick once or twice because of that. I can eat wheat toast, and pasta at this point but only in small amounts. which is goods cuz I was a pasta freak before surgery lol. I still have a good deal of restriction, almost as good as before I got pregnant. The small amount of fluid I had removed was because everything was feeling stuck. -
Just an update, I'll be 26 weeks on Wednesday. All is going well other than first time jitters lol. I've gained about 20lbs so far. New obgyn says that's cool.

Weight Gain At 25 Weeks Pg
Fritzy1980 replied to Suzyfit's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
I'm almost 26 weeks at this point and I have gained about 20lbs. My original Obgyn told me not to gain more than 20, but my new obgyn said anywhere from 25-35lbs is ok. I did have about 1.5ccs removed in my first trimester, leaving me with about 6.3ccs still in. luckily to this point, I haven't craved anything. I did however have a huge negative reaction to salad in my first trimester, which was a main staple in my diet at the time. I can eat it again now though. -
My surgeon removed 1.5ccs when I was 6 weeks along. He said normally they don't remove any unless there is a problem. Ie: morning sickness that occurs with vomiting or feeling stuck or tight. I was feeling things sticking on their way down. He said if it happens again he can take more out, but so far so good. I'm 16 weeks now.

I added you Yvonne. Name is Kristen I don't care who knows I have a Lapband. I tell people all the time, it was the best decision I ever made for myself.

So far it's going pretty normal. I saw my surgeon and had 1.5 ccs taken out only because I was feeling stuck. That was 5 weeks ago. As of today I haven't gained any weight back and am eating well. I have some nausea, but no vomitting. I'm 10 weeks along now. All seems to be well!

Lol thank you!

By the way, I've lost 130 lbs and this will be my first child. I'm a little nervous lol

Hey guys!! I've been banded for two years and four months. I've lost 130lbs. I've still got 34lbs to go, but I lost my insurance last November so I've been losing slowly the last eight months. My band is still very functional andI am still losing. some days the band feels very tight and some days it's almost as if it's not there at all. Your bands will fluctuate like that depending on the day and your body. Stress can make it feel really tight as well. I was banded by Dr Barnett in Dover. If you have any questions, I'd be glad to try and help! P.S. Watch out with all the sugar free things, they will give you the runs.

Anyone else here have this? It is a skin disease that presents as boils or acne type bumps. I was wondering if anyone else is having more breakouts since losing weight?

Newly Banded In Need Of Mentor, I Live In Delaware But Ok With Using E-Mentoring
Fritzy1980 replied to Brown Kameleon's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I was banded in March 2011, I am in Cecil County now, but my surgeon it's in Dover. Feel free to ask me any questions or present any ideas, I'd be glad to be a sounding board. -
I freeze now as well. Especially at night and mostly my feet. I have an electric blanket, but it takes a long time to get warm. I call my feet my popsi-toes lol
-
I've used prescribed washes, antibiotics (innumerable), I've tried not using deoderant. Nothing seems to work for me.
-
Mine also flares around my TOM. It's pretty bad, I ALWAYS have at least a couple of boils, even when it's not my TOM. They don't heal, they just continue to drain then refill. There isn't a lot of research done on this disease because it's embarassing. It's not caused by weight, although it's thought to be factor in some people. It's basically a follicular issue. There isn't a cure, and surgery doesn't always fix the problem. I'd hope that losing weight would at least calm them down, but after losing 126 lbs..... I feel like they are worse. I've read a lot of googled pages about this disease and so far, it seems a bit hopeless.

It typically shows up in the groin, arm pit, under the breast areas. It's very painful and quite embarrassing.

You shouldn't feel it unless something is wrong
