    Just Sleeved In Mexico

im very happy that you all have shared your experiences on here. I am getting sleeve Aug.24th with Dr. Garcia and this definitely makes me feel more at ease. I cant wait! Were you guys allowed a final meal the night before surgery? I know some doctors do this.

    Scared To Exercise

Its a great experience! No it isnt hard to get in, you just have to pay, lol. Its a full week of working out and eating healthy, but its all about getting you out of your comfort zone and showing you what you are capable of. So often we limit ourselves because of our own fears. Let me tell you, I did things there that I never thought I could do. Like run at 7.0 on the treadmill. When I started I was only running at a 4.5 maybe 5 max. You go on amazing hikes in some of the most beautiful country anywhere. And the instructors there are some of the most caring people Ive ever met. If you want to google it you can find out what their prices are right now, they do have specials from time to time. Its not cheap but its so worth it. Even after I get sleeved and lose the wieght I want i will still go back. I love it there.

    August Sleevers?! Where Ya's At?

Hello fellow sleeves, I am being sleeved Aug.24th in TJ Mexico with Dr. Garcia. I am 5'7" and currently 267lbs with a BMI of 42. I can't wait to take this weight not only of me physically but emotionally as well. Nice to see so many post op people who would do it all over agin, even with some complications. Getting pretty excited.

    Scared To Exercise

I've been to the biggest loser ranch, twice. They have changed their program a lot since they first started. Yes you do work out....a lot !!!! Lol but they have also incorporated many other programs that help with the mental aspect of weight loss. They truly have some fantastic caring and motivating people there. I even made some lifelong friends while at the ranch. Although I have now chosen the option of getting sleeved to help in my weight loss journey I never received one ounce of negativity from any of them. I really though I was going to get a lot of " you are just taking the easy way out" & " you should be able to do this on your own" etc. but they are all supportive and just want whats best for me. Biggest Loser does push you hard but only because they know that we are all capable if so much more, they just showed me the way and now it's my job to run with it!

    P90X....

You can download all of the P90, P90X etc. online. Worth doing. They are very good programs and you can always modify. Just keep moving

    Dr Garcia...great Experience!

use the search bar and just type in his name, it will come up with all kinds of threads. Or Google his name or Hospital Mi Doctor. I am going through Successfully Slimmer for my surgery. They use a few different Doctors, but you can read about Dr. Garcia on here. http://www.successfullyslimmer.com/Sleeve_Gastrectomy__VSG_.html
  9. I am going to start the pre-op diet at about 2 weeks out but I am only required to do the last 5 days according to my doctor. My BMI is 42. I'm 5'7" and 266 lbs right now.
  10. Anyone getting the sleeve done aug. 24 in Tijuana, MX? I am getting it done with Dr. Garcia at Hospital Mi Doctor and staying at the TJ Marriott on the 23rd, 26th & 27th. I would love to meet some fellow brave souls that are taking matters into their own hands and changing their lives for the better, forever!

    Dr Garcia...great Experience!

I will be having my surgery with Dr. Garcia on August 24th. I'm very happy to see so many positive messages about him and his staff. Although I am very excited I am still staring to get nervous. This decision came very quickly for Me, I was trying to lose it on my own and was making some decent progress but after lowing out my back once agin I ended up back where I started and I feel it's just time to go ahead and get some help. So here I am, lol. Looking forward o the rest of my life being a happier healthier me!

    Aug 3Rd For Me!

I have my surgery with Dr. Garcia on August 24th. I so excited I can't even Stand it, lol. I chose Dr. Garcia because it's in a hospital and not a clinic and recovery house. I'll gladly pay the extra money to have a private room in a hospital where my spouse can stay with me the whole time! Plus he includes 3 nights at the Marriott which is fantastic.
  13. I am having my surgery with Dr. Garcia at Mi Doctor Hospital. I was Leary about paying up front through a coordinator, has anyone had any problems with payments?
