Struggling (4 1/2 months out)
seelessofme replied to griega232's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
How did you get a nut? My doctor doesn't have one on his staff. Even though I haven't lost weight, I did lose 4 inches off my waist...so maybe the verdict is still out. Who knows?! -

Yup, you just just described me as well! I was also sleeved on 8-14, but I never lost that much. I've lost 37 pounds and haven't lost more since before Christmas. It is very discouraging and depressing. -

That happened to me too. I got pregnant 10 years ago the same way. Nothing is perfect and I'm happy things turned out the way they did because I have a beautiful son from it! -
I'm down 37 pounds. I feel like its not a lot in comparison to others, but I'm getting a lot of compliments on how I look so where I don't see it, others do! D.O.S. 224 Today 187

I was sleeved 8/14/12 at sisters hospital. Where are you having your surgery? I feel my weight loss is going at a snails pace but what can I do...at least I'm losing weight and losing inches. Tell me about your friends that had the surgery. Have they lost a lot? I'm down 37 lbs to date. Good luck in your journey!

I missed my goal by 2 pounds BUT I lost 4 inches off my waist! Oh yeah!!!!!! -
Bekkamy, Dr. Carauana is absolutely wonderful! While I was in the hospital, I was supposed to have a leak test before they could increase my food I take to a liquid diet instead of just plain Water....Dr. Carauana ordered the exam in the morning and then he can back late afternoon to check up on me and asked how did my test go. When I told him I was still waiting, he made a phone call and literally 10 minutes later I had my test done. I was in hospital 2 1/2 days and no complications. He's an excellent doctor and I trust him wholeheartedly. My best to you tomorrow!

I'm confused...I have been reading that as a new sleever we will have restriction and will eventually can eat what we want. I'm almost 5 months out and still feel restriction but I wonder if our stomachs were made smaller, once the restriction part goes away aren't we still limited to food intake? And how are you able to get in 1800 calories in? -
