Stall may mean Vitamin D deficient hmm...
seelessofme replied to seelessofme's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I hear you on that one, I was just pointing out they have them everywhere. I personally would buy them from the pharmacy or my doctors office. Sent from my iPad using VST -

Do you have a favorite lotion?
seelessofme replied to manderdjs's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My cousin had sleeve surgery last year and lost 100+ lbs. one of his pointers for me was to find lotion that was thick, had collagen and Vitamin E. his skin looks great and shows no signs of loose skin. Sent from my iPad using VST -
Itchy Incisions..
seelessofme replied to Beckyyb93's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I used alcohol pads and that seemed to do the trick. I remember how bad that was. I had my surgery in August and thought it had something to do with heat but with AC on, that still didn't help. I feel for you. Try not to think about it. Sent from my iPad using VST -

I like the Zone Protein bars (dbl choc almond). They have I think 12-14g of protein. I'm super picky and those are the ones I can eat without gagging. I saw today Snickers makes one...20 grams of protein it also had 280 calories but not sure if that's considered too high. I thought the protein amt was excellent. Unfortunately I didn't buy it because they didn't have any individual bars and I didn't want to buy the box in case I didn't like it.

What should it be..my doctor gave me a printout of my lab results. Unfortunately I don't remember everything he said when we reviewed the results together. -

Be careful about not taking those vitamins. I've read many crazy things that could happen for not taking them it's got me scared silly. Just yesterday a friend told me she knew someone who didn't take the vitamins and follow directions and his body shut down where he had to learn to walk again and was in hospital for 10 months. I had forgotten to take my vitamin and when I got home, that was the first thing I did! Take care! -
Include me too.

So, I just booked a trip to the Caribbean during this cold January night. I've been stuck since December 15th and soooo want to look good in a bathing suit. So I'm calling all stall Gods to hear my plea. Lets get moving! Lol -

I wanted the surgery for the same reason and it paid off, now the added benefit is losing additional weight...I no longer take meds when I used to take a cocktail of pills! -

So true Artsong! I've been drinking more fluids and wanted to do that liquid diet you mentioned but I haven't had the opportunity to get my things in order to do it, so I think I'm going to do it this weekend. But we have to keep pushing forward! My best to you! -

Interesting, the class I was in for workshops and nutrition were all sleeves. But I will say he was wonderful! No kind of pain and felt very good early on. Never threw up or had any problems post op.

Ill be 5 months next week, but I eat most chicken, softer foods because that's what my sleeve prefers and I avoid breads...which is weird because I loved breads but since the surgery, bread feels like I have cotton in my mouth. I don't lie the texture of it. I eat yogurts, puddings, cheeses, small portions of potatoes, veggies but mostly lots of chicken and regular foods except salads, I have to really chew it. I don't tolerate bananas as much either. Nits a hit or miss with foods as I'm still learning too. Are you seeing Dr. Carauana?

Valentines Day Challenge!
seelessofme replied to LittleRed30's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would LOVE it if I could be at east 10 lbs light. CW: 187 Valentine's Day: 177 and at least two inches down around my waist! -
I went in if I remember correctly like a week to a few days before my surgery....but no more than a week. Plan to be there for a while, they are very thorough. They take blood and urine samples, chest X-ray, EKG, and a health history. Hope all goes well for you. Good luck!
