  1. I'm good. Down 19lbs so far. How are you?
  2. Sleeved 2/27. My NUT said 800 cals, 60-80 grams of protein and <30 carbs.
  3. I think my biggest concern with a long flight post op would be a blood clot. You can ask your surgeon what he thinks and see if he thinks you should have preventative treatment before you fly.
  4. -Pain was nothing compared to my c section - haven't taken anything for pain since I left the hospital -My leak test was done in in the OR while I was still out so I don't know about that -Nausea meds are you BFF and they work great. But I haven't needed them since I left the hospital either (knock on wood) -Drain doesn't hurt but it sure felt weird when they pulled it out. Kinda like an alien coming out of you. But it's over in a few seconds. Might be kinda gross to look at for some people.

    Newly sleeved 2.28.13

I was sleeved on 2/27. Moved up to puréed yesterday. My Dr wants me at 800 calories but for the life of me I can't figure out how to eat 1/4 cup every 2-3 hours and get 800 cals. Today I still drank one of my protein shakes but I also ate an egg, 2 cheese sticks, yogurt, bean soup and even peanut butter and I'm at 650 calories. Im reaching my protein and water ok. Any ideas from all of you?

    How do you handle…

Thanks for your responses. It's one situation I didn't think about ahead of time.

    Cherry tomatoes

But if you want to get technical, I suppose since it's vegetative matter, it is grazing >: D Lol! I agree with the negative calories. Carrots would be the same I think. I think I would eat them as one of my Snacks and then be proud of myself for eating negative calories for a snack rather than the high calorie snacks I used to eat.

    Death to the Liquid phase

You made me laugh. My liquid phase shall die tomorrow and I can't wait! Like you said, I might now be able to tolerate much food but its having the option now. Congrats!
  9. My Dr gave me Protonix since its a tablet and not a capsule but each doc is different. I think most of us are on some kind of PPI for at least 3-6 months.
  10. Are you taking a PPI? Many people confuse acid with hunger. Just a thought
  11. What kind of protein is that body by vi? I thought i read in another thread that it is soy isolate? Is that right or is it whey?
  12. Well my scale finally decided to move! Down 2.4 this morning! Yay!
  13. Calling all Feb sleevers. It sounds like many of us hit the dreaded 3rd week stall on the second week and haven't started losing again. I thought we could all help support each other on this thread until we get up and running again. I was sleeved 2/27, lost 12 lbs week one and nothing since.
  14. Sleeved 2/27 down 12 lbs.
  15. I'm just kidding. Please don't haze me. But seriously, I've seen many posts about people wanting alfredo sauce. Hungry Girl has a recipe for low cal low fat alfredo made with Laughing Cow. It's on her website.
  16. I am at 800-900 cals a days, my surgeon wants me at 1000 but I'm on liquids still so it's hard. Protein is 60-70. I'm 11 days PO and lost 12lbs the first week and haven't lost any since day 8. Not sure what going on with that
  17. Miralax Protein shakes! Yummy!

    BREAKFAST!

I've been making scrambled egg cups for my kids. 1 scrambled egg in each cup of a muffin tin then add cheese, ham, onion, whatever and bake at 350 for 10-15 mins. You can freeze them and then heat up 1 or 2 in the micro and your good to go. Take some sour cream and salsa to dip in. Yum. And portion controlled.

Sneezing and hiccups are the absolute worst! Maybe because I had a hiatal hernia repair too but yowzaas.
  21. Sweet things get old,ie protein shakes. Wish I would have done some research into protein options that aren't sweet. But I bought my shakes so I'm gonna drink em and like em.
  22. Volume wise how much can you eat at 3,6,9,12 months? I don't ever want to be able to eat the amount I could before but I would like to eat an amount similar to a "normal" person. Like a salad , steak and potato when we go out to eat.
