They are very effective & safe if used correctly. I started a few weeks after my surgery & couldnt be happier with the results approx 8 mos post op. Whole body vibration machines work by contracting & releasing muscles & boosting circulation, just like any other exercise. The technology has been used by Russian & American space programs as well as rehab for athletes. You can find the machines in many chiropractors offices in my area as well. It is a valid therapy & is not the same thing as the old vibrating belts we see in the pics. The machines are class 2 medical devices & as such can be covered by insurance in certain situations. I would encourage anyone to try it. Nothing is for everyone, but many people will benefit from it & enjoy it

C-Section Vs Sleeve Pain
ShortSleeveoftheSouth replied to blackmagikcrush's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I've had 3 (vertical) C sections, a traditional appendectomy & an open hysterectomy before I had sleeve surgery. The sleeve was a breeze compared to every one of my previous surgeries, seriously. Even I was surprised. The 1st 2 days were not what I'd call fun, but I've done amazingly well. Plus you're not caring for a newborn after sleeve so that's way easier. Good luck! -

Anyone Have A Relatively Easy Recovery Story?
ShortSleeveoftheSouth replied to Birdy18's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My experience has been great. I had some apprehension bc I'd had several previous abdominal surgeries. No surgery or major life change will be without any pain or tough moments, but this has been by far the easiest surgery I've ever experienced & I can honestly say I feel better than I did before I had it, physically & emotionally. -

I realize everyone's circumstance is different but I wanted to say that I was successfully sleeved 7/19 with no complications. I previously had 5 open abdominal surgeries, 3 of which were vertical C-secs. I'm curious as to why previous surgery would be a contraindication.
