The best advice is keep on keeping on. When you're going through it, it seems like it takes forever, but looking back, it's not bad at all. Take one day at a time. It'll happen. There are ups and downs. There were times when I did regret it. But, hey, I'm down 100#, no regrets now. Keep up the Protein, that's the biggest one for me. Still working on getting the Water in. Keep a bright outlook and know you can do it.

It's funny, don't get me wrong, I feel good. I danced today when I realized I hit the 100# mark, but it's still a little strange to me. It takes a long time for the brain to catch up with the body. How long have you waited for the insurance part? It's frustrating when you realize you want to do it, and you're ready, and then have to wait.....

Good luck to you! You'll do great.

Awesome!! Thanks so much. -
I found it to be overwhelming and kind of a lonely road at first. The good news is that it gets better. The worst is behind you!! You're going to be great.

I started losing hair at two months out. I cut it short so it wouldn't be as noticeable. I took the Biotin and the vitamins and it didn't help. I am at six months out and it has finally stopped. Thank you God!!

5-6 months out sleevers.... ?
JenKMi replied to gettinMeBack's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I was sleeved on July 31st. Since my pre-op appointment I've lost about 80 Lbs. I can't eat much. Maybe 1/2 cup at a time, maybe 2oz if it's meat. I struggle to get my water in but make sure I get my protein in. -
Muskegon here!!

Hi, I'm going to put my two cents in. It's a very personal decision. Don't let anyone tell you any differently. I feel very alone in what I have had done to myself. I am one month out today. Yes, I'm down in weight but at what cost? I have a hard time drinking anything, I burp constantly, my new past time is vomiting. Do I regret it, honestly, a little; yes I do. Everyone makes it sound so wonderful, and yes, the weight loss is terrific. I'm down 35 pounds so far. Look at your co-morbidities. Talk to a doctor and then another one. Find a few people that you can talk to face to face and really ask them how they feel about it. I thought I was prepared. I did the six months that my insurance company wanted me to do. I was honest with the shrink I had to talk to. It's just that no one can fully prepare you for the changes. Best of luck with your decision, I'm just glad you are really thinking it over.
