  2. Haven't lost anything since my surgery. . 5 days post op.
  3. I am 6 days out and have experimented with some soft foods. My Dr wanted me 2 weeks liquid. Items I've tried: avocado, won ton soup, smooshed banana. All advise or input welcome. I get full quickly and immediately get gas and/or have burping other than that I feel fine. Comments?
  4. How about liquid vitamins. I take a really good one from Natural Vitality. I mix it my morning protein drink. Good luck hope you're feeling better.
  5. I am 11 days post op and have bounced back very well. Some discomfort but I can see full recovery is not too far away(as far as activity etc). I haven't had the perfect protein and water intake but I'm tracking and staying on program fairly well including walking. I have lost 1 1/2 pounds and like u I am scared this isn't gonna work for me. All the dramatic weight loss I have read about and was expecting is just not the case for me. Yesterday I cried to my boyfriend winding if I haven't made a huge mistake or if I'm doing something wrong. My calories are more in the 900 range like during preop. Damn scale. I am going for my 2 week checkup on wednesday and will have measurements done and weigh in and hopefully the doc can reassure me everything is ok.

    Early Stall!

    Wow that's a long stall. Today I am 11 days postop and have maybe lost 1 1/2 pounds. I have stared at the scale so many times I'm confused. Did your dr explain the long stall? So happy you're seeing some movement.

    Ahi Tuna

    5 oz is about 28g protein!! It's Ahi tuna, that's the only name I know. Seared Ahi is the way I order it. I haven't made it but have ordered it in restaurant. Kinda pricey too :/

    Weight Loss

    Well...day 10 and 1/2 pound down. Soooo disappointed. I'll call do tomorrow. Walking yes, average calories per day 800-900, protein could use more but not too bad. Man I'm frustrated. Yesterday I had my shake (vitamin packed)in the morning, 8 oz cream of broccoli soup, couple bites of avocado, 2 low sodium ritz crackers, and a skinny cow ice cream. Seriously what gives, I'm seriously starting to feel like a failure

    Early Soft Foods

    Thank u for everyone's support. I did call my doc and they confirmed it was ok and gave me a new "definition" of what to eat. "if it can slide off a spoon". Ok? That clears up everything, not. Lol Haha I can get a truffle to slide off a spoon . Anyway I get it now and I got it then. If I eat some avocado that after chewing is the same consistency as my protein shake then it's obviously ok. I never thought this subject would cause such controversy. It does speak to how valuable this site is and how we all need support above all. Not about wrong or right. Peace to u all<3

  15. Yes the blender makes sense. Maybe I'll stir afterwards to loosen up some of the bubbles. Good call. And if I gotta burp then fine but this morning after my protein shake it just seemed excessive. Thanks guys
