Hello Melinda and welcome! I totally understand going back and forth with which procedure to get. I was the same way... I chose to go with the sleeve because it doesn't have the malapsorptions that the RNY has. As for doctors I chose to go with Dr. Alvarez ... Good luck on your journey

Hey everyone I'm scheduled for October 5th in Mexico... tried to get it done in the states but insurance wouldn't cover. It really was a blessing in disguise thought.... I've heard nothing but great things about Dr. Alvarez and Susan his coordinator is the bomb! ! She is always there to answer my questions and gets back to me very quickly. Looking forward to my new life!

I've started a low carb high protein diet as well... my surgery is set for October, but I thought I would get a jump start before my pre op diet. I've increased my distance on the treadmill as well... I would like to lose 20-30 lbs before surgery. -
Hello I just turned 40 in June... will be sleeved October 5th by Dr. A... can't wait to start my new life. The forties are so gonna be better than my twenties ... 40 is the new 20 <wink>
