Yeah thats why I changed. The musashi is high carbs and high sugar and I thought it might be impeding my weightloss. I like the new one. Have only found chocolate and vanilla. There website is www.aussiebodies.com.au I've been purchasing it from a 7/11 convenience store in Adelaide but I think I saw the same drinks at Coles. My 'allowed' calorie intake is between 600-700. However I'm doing less than 600 at the moment. -

Hi everyone. I too returned back to work today. 12 days post op. I'm a bit tired now, so it will be an early night for me. I still have not lost any weight since day 4 post op Dietician said this is a normal plateau that can occur straight after surgery as body in shock. Still disappointed though...I've also changed my protein shake to ProteinFX which is 20g protein, 5g carbs and 3g fat per 250ml pre made shake. -

Is Keeping The Secret Possible?
unknown54678997 replied to Nikki613's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You could say you are having a hernia repaired. The op and recovery are almost very similar... Other wise you could just tell them nothing. Its no ones business but yours. I've told the whole world about my op bevause quite frankly, I don't give a toss what they think. My body, my life, my choice -

Its not unusual to have diahrea. liquid in = liquid out unfortunately. Is it the Protein shot? or were you taking that preop? It may have something in it that doesn't agree with you. There were certain Protein drinks that did that to me as well... If it persists for longer than 48 hours, consult your Dr who may recommend some medication for it. All the best

unknown54678997 replied to RoseNP's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I'm 11 days post op and have not lost any weight at all in the past 8 days. Not even 100 grams. Can be disappointing but I just think my body is in shock. Hang in there, its just another bump in the road -

I'm going back to work tomorrow. I am 11 days post op and am definitely ready both physically and mentally Your not really going to know until the time comes but if there are no complications, you should be fine and I say go it. Skip the lifting for awhile though. Good luck with everything

Actually I've just re-read my diet plan and its the same as Shelleys. Week 2-4 is soft/puree food (deli meats, fish, puree veg, cottage cheese on crackers, Weetbix etc) and from week 4 can start reintroducing preop foods (chicken breast, steamed veg etc). Just have to ensure everything is chewed really well. Glad I re-read that, now I'm even more excited for Wednesday -

Good job Shelley The Musashi P30 are the best Protein Drink I have found by far. I actually like all the flavours too. Glad I found someone else drinking them as I was concerned that these were inhibiting my weightloss. I am rest assured by your update. I'm sure you will easily meet a 20kg weight loss by Christmas -

Hi guys. How is everyone feeling? Just a quick update. Day 8 post op. Still feeling great. Not burping as much after drinking, so going to blame yesterdays gas on the metamucil I took. My diet : Musashi P30 Protein shake, Water, apple juice, V8 veg/citrus juice & thin vitamised broth/soup. Consuming between 1.5-2.0 litres of liquid per day. Daily protein intake is anywhere between 40-60g. Weight : Nothing happening in that department. Starting weight 93kilo. I dropped to 89kilo within 4 days of post op and I'm still 89kilo 4 days later. Bit disappointed but I guess its early days. Exercise : 30-45min daily brisk walk with the dogs plus the usual housework chores. Incision sites: Don't really know they are there. Very slight stretch every now and then in the main incision site but no pain at all. Bowels: Major changes there but was too be expected. Emotions: Feeling great. More energetic and feeling very positive about life. Not craving food as such. I think about my favourite foods all the time and I watch every cooking show but there's no desire to gorge. Even though my cupboards are full of my favourite Snacks (chips &biscuits ) to cater for my 18 yr old son, I no longer have the desire to eat them. Have a great day -
