Congrats! I'm 2 days into puree and I am having trouble eating anything. Didn't think it would be this difficult. Geesh! LOL

Yes it is!! I like it better than egg whites. I was sooo psyched for mushies....didn't think it would take me 30 minutes to eat some egg whites lol.. And it filled me up...wow!

I was released to drive immediately. I did not take pain meds once I left the hospital.

I started soft foods today, too..YAY....I just had eggs and a string cheese...it filled me up..I tried a little meat..but it felt REALLY WEIRD going down...I didn't like it...I think I'll be "Eggin It" for a while until I am a little more healed.

Well, Beloved, I learned a lesson today, one that I've read of on here before. Today I just wasn't very hungry. I didn't have Breakfast. I drank 25% of an Isopure and had some chicken broth mid afternoon. I only drank 30ish oz of fluids. I had surgery Monday, August 20, 2012. Guess what, I got light headed and dizzy tonight. Lesson learned and a word to all my follow new sleevers: eat even if you don't feel hungry!

I'm scared!! I was sleeved 8/20 and have my follow up with my surgeon tomorrow. I pray i get approved to move to purée!! Geesh I can do another week of liquids, but I swear I don't want to!!

I'm with ya! I was sleeved 8/20 and have my follow up appt tomorrow!! I am praying he'll let me start puree at 11-14 days out....I just need to chew something!! I'm not hungry..I just want to CHEW! LOL..I see people who say they chew and spit it out..but for some reason, I feel like I would be cheating. This is not a journey I want to cheat on.

I had the same thing happen!! I had my morning shake before the meeting. I took my Blender Bottle with me and got some skim milk for my lunch...and they had Soup...so I also had the broth off of it and no one noticed that I didn't eat a ton. Good luck...it was just hard to be around all that food....because I wanted to eat the entire spread!

I'm so sorry!! But I am Soo happy that you're under doctors care and in a safe environment!

I can't wait for that day! Hopefully I go to puree stage when I see my Surgeon on Friday!
