I got the phone call last night stating that I was denied for the sleeve but approved for the full gastric bypass. I've had my heart set on the sleeve and have really never fully investigated the bypass. Our insurance just does not approve the sleeve for anyone they say. I did have a coworker that was approved but she has a co-insurance so I don't know if that played into the fact of her getting the sleeve. I don't know what I feel yet. Does anyone have any advice to offer?

I am having surgery on 9/17...on the second week of the pre-op diet

Hi everyone! I've been lurking for a while and have decided to join in the conversations. My paperwork was submitted to the insurance company and I am waiting on the approval and denial to come. I'm going to use Dr. Hughes of the SC Obesity Center in Lexington, SC if all goes well. I wasn't scared at all until I knew the paperwork was sent it. Now I will be upset if it is denied but upset if it is approved....does that make sense to anyone?

Does anyone have PAI or Planned Administrators? My Dr. sent everything in for review today and I wondered how long it would take to get the approval/denial.
