ms. antiband this time u had major surgery a part of u was cut out. I've read many post and watch shows where people has had massive weight loss whether its the band or on their own and haven't complain about massive hair loss as with the sleeve. Really giving me something to think about.

Sleevedreamz ur correct the surgery is a shock to ur body and I too started losing my hair at exactly three months. Right after surgery my hair started to grow longer and fuller and the stands were thicker I was like wow it help my hair to grow until the third month now my hair is thinner especially in the front. I literally have a few long strands in the front that I try to cover the area that fell and started to grow back. You know like the trump guy. Now i feel self conscious about my hair that every one is looking at my hair. i have followed everything to the T and still have major loss. so i really think the doctors know more about the loss because mine sugar coated it when i asked about it. he only said well u will have loss but if u follow my instruction u will see minimal loss. WRONG!! But Dr Oz had a really great show on yesterday about a growing serum that is proven to aid with growing and also a product that really did a good job with covering it up I went online and will be purchasing both its $25 each.

When I look at myself and what I accomplish weight wise I would say YES!! But when I sit and think about cutting out a part of my that was normal and nothing wrong with it, not knowing the long term effects, all the vitamin and constant protein and also the complication that iggy has I deeply regret it to a point where I'm terrified about my future.

Oh my head has been so frightful but today its so delightful that my hair is no longer fallin out Let it grow! Let it grow! Let it grow! From pre op to post op until four months out my hair actually grew then it stop and started falling out in clumps.

It started at four months and stop at six months out. I too have thin hair and it has been really depressing. On target for everything protein, water, vitamin, exercise still did not help until I read a blog that explained why we experience hair loss and it would go thru a phase and it did and now it finally stop.

I had the same rash about 6weeks post op on my right arm it hurt and itch like crazy. And yesterday I notice I have the same rash on the same arm but not as bad as the first time.

This is a great post the past few months I've been feeling if the surgery is of God. The reason that I felt that way a month post op I was feeling stressed about my decision especially about leaks so I ask my NUT how long after the surgery we are completely out of the woods for leaks and she said you will always have the possibilities of having a leak I said even when the stomach heals hence that prior to surgery that was my main concern (leaks) and what happens to the staples and they assured me it heals like a cut a scar forms over the staple line but that day when I ask her post op she said anything thats not of GOD always has errors my jaw dropped and then we kinda had a heated discussion about it. I turn to this website and read every post about leaks and how long after surgery. I just felt that I was probably being vein to want a surgery when I should have work out and eat right but deep down in my hearts of hearts I knew I made the right decision and your post just confirmed it so I want to say thanks to everyone that post a reply you made me feel 100% that I made the right decision even in GODS eyes.

Wow we had our surgery on the same day and guess what I too just started losing my hair. Since surgery I haven't had any major hair loss it was actually growing then about a week ago it started shedding more and more every day. I have thin hair and you can see my scalp and a bald patch in the front where I part my hair.. UUUGH I wish there was something I can take to slow it down I've read that it will run its course. In the mean time I will try the xfusion it really made a difference on your picture. Thanks for the advice. Oh and which store did you purchase it from.

I return to work in three weeks. I'm self pay so it cost me $12,500 for everything and the psy was 150.00 i also get 12mo post op

I hate the powder protein! I bought a large bag at Sam's and thought it would be cheaper than the ready made ones. Right after surgery it made me gag each time then when I even thought about it I gaged I didn't want to wate it so I forced myself until one day I just couldn't so I went back to Sam's and bought the Premire and have been drinking it ever since. It really has a good taste and i never gaged once I never like milk shake or chocolate milk so I new this would be a challenge but the premier has made it easier to tollerate.

How long after surgery do we have to worry about leaks happening? I was told that there is always a possibility. I though once our tummy was healed that was it. I ask the question and before my surgery because i was scared out of my mind and was assured by the nurse about how the stomach heals and the scar tissues and eventually the staples all off. Now I'm hearing maybe! Please someone give me some kind of info I am really scared right now.

Wow two years! That's just crazy...This was never mentioned to me prior to the surgery. If I would have mown this I would have never gone thru it. Really scared of my future with the sleeve!
