    Who Here Is On Twitter?

I looked at the website, it looks like the highlights of it, are the side features of some programs I use already, and don't like. The constantly updating what you're up to, seems really weird to me. Maybe the generation below me likes it, but I don't know who would keep tabs on each other round the clock. I use Plaxo & LinkedIn for work, and Facebook & Myspace for friends.. of all of them, I rarely find a good use. Myspace is a fun way to find old friends from high school, but beyond that I think they all serve a weak purpose. No thanks Twitter!

  3. Uhmmm Suzanne, you sure YOU'RE not expecting?! And woohoo Terry, but the Hector thing.. that's a weird name.. makes me think of Evening Star.. So you said NO? Uncool mom?? LOL Macy is adorable Tracy, so you took off from work to be with her and now she goes away? No respect!!

    Urban Myth or Truth???

I got a card in my Inamed handbook, a punch out card that you put in the wallet. I've never asked to eat kid's menu at places like buffets, and I rarely order kids menu.. sometimes I do at Cracker Barrel, they have a cheap grilled chicken tender with 1 side, which is all I need.. and they have never cared. I know some places won't take it, whether you have a card or not, they get to make that call. I still don't quite get it, since it's the same amount of food despite who it is ordered for.. But, it's not like some exclusive club perk lol. If a place would let you order with a card, they'd let you order without the card, I doubt you need to actually pull it out and tell them about your surgery.

I musta missed the cheese thing. The past few months I've been overwhelmed in work & school so I didn't look around the boards much.

    Would you do it again?

Sorry Private, hope your docs can figure something out. The simple fact is, as much as I love the band, or someone else may love the band, it is just not for everyone. And not because some people can't follow the rules, or reasons we can control.. it's also anatomy. Some people's bodies reject silicone, or reject foreign objects in general. Some people's esophagus and/or stomach can't sustain the band, and eroding happens. It's just not right for everyone, and with current technology it's impossible to say ahead of time who is an ideal candidate based on their body's reaction. That's something to keep in mind when going in for the band, it's a gamble. The odds are in your favor, but there's always some who it just won't work. And I'm sorry to those of you who it doesn't work, and hope you find something that works.
  7. I asked Russell if he'd rather go out or have me cook him his birthday dinner. He said whatever I want, so I asked his favorite meal (I know he loves hamburger helper, but that seems awefully cheap for a birthday meal).. he says.. velveeta mac & cheese, with hamburger meat in it. Nasty!! I don't like pasta very much, but I definitely don't like anything resembling hamburger helper, I generally try to avoid them. So I showed him I had velveet mac & cheese, and said "I just put it in?" and he goes "You could make home-made velveeta mac & cheese". So I've been looking for some sort of recipe, any way I make it, I won't like it.. guess I'll make me some creamed spinach, which I've been lovin since I had it at a restaurant a couple months ago. Bird's eye makes a frozen variety that is lower in fat (less cream I think) and I love it, can eat that as my meal. I get my unfill tomorrow, I gotta go alone My mom was going to go with me, but she has a lot of work stuff going on so she can't get away without missing some meetings.
  8. ((Suzanne)) we understand, I'm sorry you're going through that and you're a wonderful sister! One of our managers went home from work Friday and found his wife dead in bed.. apparently she had a hysterectomy a couple months ago (she is 39) and she had a blood clot move to her heart and caused a heart attack. How scary is that??? I'm making a pie for him, one of the other managers is his neighbor so he's taking up food to take over there. I just couldn't imagine. And, she had 2 kids that lived with them, but on weekends went to their dad.. now that she has passed, the kids he's been raising as his own are gone too. I feel so bad for him, keep him in your prayers!
  9. Denise your grandkids are adorable!! They live close enough so should probably grow up to be great friends, yea?? I never had a cousin in my age range (closest is 15), but all my friends always hung out with their cousins. Judy I am the same way with grapes, and I use to LOVE grapes. I have a million salad recipes for them, and I can't eat them anymore, anytime I try it's a spitting fest. Our family cookout is today, my Granny was so excited when she heard I was pregnant, today is first time I've seen her since our last cookout 2 weeks ago.. so I'm betting she's gonna give me all kinds of good advice, she makes me laugh! We haven't told anyone else in the family yet, going to see if it somehow comes out.

    Twenties NSVs

I officially can't buy panties at LB anymore!!!!!! And I shopped their 14/16 tops last time I went, and they are really blousy.. so I'm almost done with them for good!
  14. You'll be in my thoughts Jane! Haydee, I've seen people post on the boards that alcohol loosens the band, but it's opposite for me. It irritates it and makes it hard to eat if I have alcohol with my food.

If ya'll want to stay in a hotel in H'ville, actually get one in Madison,AL. The airport is Huntsville, but it's actually in Madison and that's where I live. Parts of Huntsville are pretty run down, and I don't really know the hotels there.. but I know plenty in Madison on Hwy 20/Madison Blvd. that are good priced & decent.
  16. Congrats Kat!! And you and your band will be in my prayers, hopefully it's nothing.. maybe just the excitement of being to goal???
  17. Morning V's! Thank you for the card Jane, very funny and appropriate!! Terry that is so cool about your bracelet! And you're lucky with that rain, we're in a drought and we've been hearing for days how hurricane Fay is sending storms our way 'today' over and over, and then nothing. One of Russell's brothers is coming down for the weekend.. Russell rolled his eyes about it, even though he asked me if it was ok. I said if you didn't want him to come, you shoulda just said I said no! Apparently he's been telling him no for months and feels bad. I don't know why they like to come here?? They don't do anything, they just watch tv and play video games- which they do at home. I'm going to pottery barn sometime today with a friend, and then later on I'm going to visit my other friend who had her baby while we were in Gruene! He is getting so big in the pictures she posted on myspace, and he's smiling now.. so cute!

    Just Moving in...

Welcome! And though it can be hard, hopefully you can get enough support here and anywhere else you can find it.. even if your mom & family don't support you, you have to do it for YOU.

    Not lady like

I burp all the time.. there's ways to stop taking in so much air, but.. maybe it's the southern girl in me, I have no problem belching whenever the need arises. Of course if I'm with someone, I say something and blame it on them so strangers don't think it was me.
  23. Hah, I had responded to this earlier then the board died. I was just quoting! But from personal experience, chocolate=helps headache for me.. and I've never exercised to 'fix' any pains.
  24. Kk.. Well, once I get the unfill I'm just going to eat normal foods and not worry about getting anything extra in (for baby), I'm just worried about the time between now and then... I'm not getting enough calories for ME at this point. It's really bizarre how tight it became all of a sudden. I tried eating a cracker last night, and I felt it 'bouncing' around there for hours, till I finally just spit it up and gave up on it. I am taking my flintstones, calcium, and baby vitamins, and just hoping that ties me over, it was just the lack of calories I am wondering about since the book talked about calories.
