I'm Preggars, too! (BTW, which prenatal pill to take?)
Daisalana replied to Jpet's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
Folic acid & iron are the primary difference.. and yes, taking prenatal vitamins before getting pregnant is optimal. They form so much before you realize you're even pregnant, so it's good to have the good stuff circulating in there. -
This thread is going to be sooo inappropriate!

Too many outrageous threads going on right now to keep up with this one!! -
The women's restroom at our work, no one uses the 'supplied' tp. I don't know who supplies it, but we have cases of real tp, like charmin or something.. and each stall has a supply. Maybe get with other women coworkers and do that?

Big deal is saying the lapband is deceit and bullshit. It's not. I urge you to find one piece of literature that says the band does everything for you, that you will never be hungry again and that weight loss is guaranteed with no effort on your part.

They put hoops in originally, which I think hurt because of the tilted angles on the edges.. when I was able to change them out I put in barbells (small ones, that just barely fit, so that there's no clunky jewelry, it just keeps my nipples erect). So, I have barbells and prefer them. If you do decide to do this, ask if they can pierce with barbells, I may have asked for the hoops thinking they looked better.. but for healing, barbells are a lot nicer because they don't pull.

Terry the Rosary is beautiful, and a great memento!! My mom bought a fabrige (sp) egg from the hospital when her dad died, and she keeps it in her china hutch. Some sort of trinket to hold onto, to remind her of him. I had another bizarre dream about you guys last night. We all went on a trip to somewhere foreign, no one spoke english and the street/city was dirty much like NYC. We got rooms at this cheap cheap hotel, that was SO CHEAP, the hotel beds were like in a community area, but on platforms.. with no railings.. and we were on the 3rd floor (outside).. and you had to actually jump from platform to platform to get to your bed. Well, somehow Tracy W. and someone else (I couldn't for the life of me figure out her room mate, I was trying to find them to swap) got a private room, which involved no platform jumping. But I told you all I was going to go shower and I'd be back down, I ended up spending (dream) hours sitting on the edge of a platform bawling my eyes out.. I am terrified of heights and I could not get myself to jump to the platform with my bed on it (not to mention suitcase in tow). So I kept trying to figure out who Tracy's room mate was, and see if I could just stay in their room or use their shower, or swap. Never did get it, so I was just miserable on a platform, while I heard you guys partying outside. THEN suddenly we were at Pam's house.. and Pam's house, you had to walk down 2 flights of stone stairs into a dark area, where there was a bellhop at the bottom (a pretty lady with a white ballgown on), then you had to CLIMB a wall to get to her house. I cut my hands up and fell a few times. I had to pee really really bad, so I asked Pam where the bathroom is (she had a huge mansion ya'll!) and she leads me way far away and I'm bouncing because I really needed to pee, and she opens a door to a bathroom that was literally only big enough for the toilet. So I could not go in, could not close the door, and I'm peeing my pants by this point (luckily I did not pee myself in reality).. so I ask if there's any others.. so she takes me forever away again, into a new bathroom, and some reason that didn't work either but I don't remember why. Then we did luge sledding right outside of her house. Weird huh? That's what coca cola cake does for you..

Oh, well bummer. I have to look forward, my g'ma and my mom both had hysterectomies in their early 40's.. due to cysts and tumors, so I'll likely be that route, with no menopause either! Thank you ) And good luck figuring it out, I think docs can do tests now to see your hormone levels and tell you if it is in fact menopause.

If you go to that website, select a style you want, and then it says something about finding your color, and then it pulls up the swatches of all the different colors (big ones so you can actually hold your hair to the screen). I did not dye it, I just bought medium brown. Creepy plain.. I'll indulge that fantasy, I WAS naked because I'd gotten out of the shower and was just trying them out. I was wanting to have them in and looking nice before I showed them to DH

That's actually not true, I researched that before ever getting mine done. As long as it's not infected (re: pierced right before breastfeeding), and they don't pierce it too close to the boob (which any reputable piercer knows not to do this, as that's not where it's suppose to be), there is no problem breastfeeding with pierced nipples, you just need to take the jewelry out when breastfeeding so that it does not hurt their mouth.

I actually pierced mine for that very reason, mine actually were INVERTED!! Even aroused they barely laid flat (I hate my boobs in all ways). It definitely does make them stand out, even when I take mine out they go back to inverted.. with them in, they look full and poked out. Pain wasn't THAT bad having it done, but healing is a major pain. I've had mine for years, and my left one still isn't done healing. If I put the piercing in it gets warm and hurts till I take it out. I only keep my right one in at all times.

Are We Ready For A Woman VP?

I am republican, but I'd never blindly vote republican just because of the party name. But I do have to say, when I listen to Obama's speeches vs. McCain's speeches.. I do disagree with McCain more than I have in previous republican presidential candidates, but Obama's speeches actually scare me! I am so opposed to his views, and that is not because he is democratic.. but because it's not how I feel. -
Do you know when your mom & maternal g'ma started menopause? It's amazing how close that is normally linked.

I got the first ones, 23" wavy ones.. and I got medium brown.

Think maybe it's the fact you're going to have a baby in less than 2 weeks that's getting to you? Excited?! -
Lap band - don't do it!! Scarred for life
Daisalana replied to LAPBANDFREE's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Troll sounds right to me, a fearmonger at that. But the teeth falling out, is really weird thing to say. I guess it could happen, but teeth falling out from 'throwing up' is because of the acids in your stomach. Normal "PB"ing, does not bring up acids, just food that has not gone through the band. If it was acidic enough to rot out 2 teeth, I would imagine the band was misplaced, too tight, slipped, etc... and a lot of your complaints sound like DOCTOR complaints, who did not educate you or help you utilize your tool, if anything else neglected to help you. But I really resent the fearmongering for people who are looking for information on the band to find such a thing, and take it as "This is how bands work, DON'T DO IT". - This is NOT what the band is about. -
You look so nice Judy!! I'd never known you slept with a lesbian

LOL MICHELLE!! That is too funny. Mo is super cute!! He looks like a short hair version of my Apollo.

I think this is for, say silicone chin, calves, breast implants. They are under the surface of the skin, I don't know what this body wrap is but body wraps in general do things to the skin.. perhaps the heat or whatever it does, if it were right over a silicone breast implant for example, might burst the implant. The band silicone is so far inside, and it's not a bubble like these implants are.. I would think it's fine, but when in doubt, call your band doc

I'm actually hungry this morning, with nothing for b'fast!! Drinking my water I think these prenatal vitamins, packed with their fiber, are making me regular again.. I don't like it lol. Since banding, I go like once maybe twice a week, now every single day at work it hits me and I can't go in public, so it just makes me uncomfortable and crampy all day. Waah. We went to a sushi bar last night, I ordered cooked sushi stuff.. but my uncle ordered a TON of raw stuff.. he covered our whole table. The waitress was extremely pushy, we would ask what stuff was, she'd tell us, we'd ask if it was raw.. one thing she said it was raw crab and shrimp, and I was like ok.. so she goes "Eat it, is good!" I said no thanks, she asks "Why not?" I said I don't like raw stuff, and she goes "You try it, is good!".. and I'm like wow.. NO?! Then we went furniture shopping, my mom is going to get a new coffee table set (if she ever finds one she likes-they've said this for years now) and I get her old ones.. which are these gorgeous huge, heavy, granite coffee tables & end tables. Last night through the window of a closed store, she finally found some that made her go "OOOOO".. they're elaborate metal bases with granite tops. Very fancy looking. I'm excited, that means I finally get the cool hand-me-downs!

Lap band - don't do it!! Scarred for life
Daisalana replied to LAPBANDFREE's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Yup, sorry you didn't like it.. But I don't think your view is a popular consensus that everyone should base their decision off of "Don't do it!". I completely, 100% disagree.. band saved my life, and I love it. -

My doc called in a vitamin for me, has an Rx label on it, but I think it's just because she called it in. Duet Chewable StuartNatal, .. doesn't taste fantastic, but I have had a worse tasting chewable..
