Quick & easy way.. have 2 windows open.. one on this thread, one on the thread you 'fix up'. On the top of the browser on the fixed up thread, 'copy' the URL (right click & copy.. or apple+c on a mac).. Go to the window of this thread, in your post just.. 'paste' (right click & paste, or apple+v) Voila! http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f80/i-hate-when-people-post-just-post-44270/index258.html

Orrrrrrrr... if anyone feels so inclined they could rewrite the story of whoever posts a story. I think it's more fun that way, because it's someone's actual story that happened to them. If you make-up an alternate story to an already made-up story, it's not quite as fun (believe me!). There's lots of stories to be had on the forum. And of course, once someone posts a rewrite, make sure you linky poo it back here. Vote Barlow '16.

Obesity Help Lawsuit filed by Gary Viscio
Daisalana replied to Alex Brecher's topic in Rants & Raves
While we're at it.. the sun is too bright, $$$ please, I'll give you the account number! -
There's still time for it to change paths right? Last I heard it was headed for LA.. I'll be crossing my fingers it doesn't come to Houston! And thanks for the website, I'm checking it out right now.

Cysts are fairly common.. in fact many women have them and never know.. the only time you find out is if it's large enough that the pain is intense. I ended up in the hospital 4 days post-op, thinking I had a blood clot in my lung, I had severe chest pains. I don't think they ever said it was anything, or if they did I forget. This year I ended up in the ER for strong abdomenal cramping, it actually made me pass out from the pain 2 times. Everyone thought it was false contractions (was not pregnant though), because they had a regular pattern. They did ultrasounds, and mentioned ovary cysts they saw-- but told me they're normal and would likely not be the source of my pain. After all the wahoo, they said they thought it was reminents of food poisoning (which I don't remember having), and the pains stopped the next day.. so there's that.

Should LapBandTalk have forums for OTHER Weight Loss Surgeries?
Daisalana replied to Froggi's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Ghost answered before I saw the response. My thoughts are like that, go to a siamese forum & a persian forum and use your own brain to deduce what would be best-- for YOU. And I agree, I don't think anyone should be turned away because they did not have the lap-band, or are having no surgeries. It's an open forum and should be that way, but I don't see why there's an obligation to inform everyone of every surgery, when this website is lap-band talk. -
Doh, it sure would have. Actually one of the scenerios involved him propositioning you, even after confessing he was married.

That'd be me. As I read your story, different versions of 'what happened next' kept coming to mind. Thought I'd run with one of em

Teeheee tra-la-la-la-la. Talk about posting for the sake of posting.

BEST NSV EVER! This make it ALL worth it!
Daisalana replied to Boo Boo Kitty's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Awww that is a good story. May I ad some adlib to spice it up a little (for entertainment sake!!) I dunno, I told you I'm bored. -
Uhmmm.. ME. Get on it!!

I thought a tweaker was a drug addict too (Heroin, speed, meth, blah blah). Entertain me darn it, slow day at work..

Hi Mita, sorry you're having to go through all of this. I am hopeful that when you've healed in 4-6 weeks, everything should be alright. If your stomach prolapsed, did they say how long that would take to heal? I would think that would bother you for a little while until it finally heals up.

I need something entertaining to do at work when I'm in down time. It's been a slow day, LBT doesn't have any interesting threads going and you guys pop in and out..waaah. Wish I still like pogo. We went to the mall for lunch, nothing sounds good anymore!!! I don't mind things when I eat them, but I don't go "Oh such and such sounds good". We even passed an ice cream shop and I was like blech. I got a sub from subway (I know better, that won't go down), but while he's making it, I said light mayo and he squirts this watery white goo on my sammich. I made a face and he goes 'That's weird.. I promise it's mayo!". Uh huh, cause I'm dumb and never had mayo, and never seen what it looks like when it seperates? So I was way turned off, ended up going to get egg drop soup. Ate half, too hot.

Oh I know the complications, and where it should be enough, it's not working that way.. I don't know how anyone does that!!! My ultrasound is Thursday (WOO), I am going to ask her about it then. She's the one who gave me Chantix last year, I'm going to see if she can recommend something like Welbutrin (not sure if that's pregnancy compatible) or whatever.

Oh the smoking thing, I am down to 1/2 pack a day. That's a huge accomplishment, but no matter what I do, I can't get to less than that. What I read is that you should taper off to your 14th week. That means I have 6 weeks left  I'm not very confident in my abilities, Russell is taking Chantix and stopped smoking a few days ago. I'm very jealous, and annoyed.. I wish I could do the chantix. I know it works! I've been reading online for advice on how to quit when you can't use quit stuff.. patches, gum, etc. are worse than smoking.. it's the nicotine that is bad for the baby and those are all direct nicotine. You quitters, did ya'll do something non-anticdotal that worked? I read eating jolly ranchers everytime you get a craving, but I don't see that tiding me over. Right now, I use "If I wait 2 more hours, I get one", so I'm not setting myself up very well right now to actually quit, my reinforcement not to smoke at the moment, is that I will have one eventually.

Morning V's. I had a horrible night of sleep last night, I hate our bed.. I guess since I laid in it all weekend, my back was tired of it. I could not get comfortable last night, I kept getting charlie horses in my lower back, waking up, not finding a better way to sleep, repeat. Now I have a crick in it, I am so sore and TIRED. I don't want to take advil, but I may break down here pretty soon if the crick doesn't lessen up. Denise they are sooooooooo cute!!!)

Those are good classic musicals Jane! Judy I am jealous, I normally take a steaming hot hot bath, just had one the other night. Last night I read hot baths and showers, saunas, jacuzzis, etc.. are bad while you're pregnant- especially early on, when it changes your body temperature it can cause mutations!! To say the least, i'm a bit freaked out. I take a lot of hot baths, and this was not in the books I read  I'm going to miss my parents hot tub in the winter. And knowing I can't do that, makes me want it more!

So sorry for your loss Libra, I understand the want for a break but reach out if you need it.

Advil is not recommended for banders, even though that's not proven. Advil is for muscle pains, so anytime my back flares up I still take it, but it's very rarely. For fevers, always take tylenol. There's not contraversy on it, and tylenol is better for headaches/joint/fever.

Oh jeez, no. The reese made it till about 1am. Some reason I was extremely paranoid someone was going to break into the house.. so I had the bat on the bed, my cell phone handy and was going over game plans. I kept pausing the tv everytime I heard a noise, and a lot of parties on Saturday night so I heard a lot of noises!! I had a hard time sleeping alone. I'm bored and thought I'd share with you how my weekend went (minus the food portion). I've barely rolled off my bed the past 2 days.. I just shift positions on the bed, the cats are happy the dog is gone (went with Russell) so they've enjoyed just hanging out with me. Good news is, after my candy flip yesterday I totally am sick of candy. The idea of it makes me ill. So here is Gracie, taking over the dog's bed- And my big boy Apollo, watching the laptop with me- Uh oh, he hears a noise (gracie on the floor wiggling her butt)- And then? Then I break them up as usual.. We all go back to lounging, repeat. And this is my weekend! Russell has been asking me to make chili for weeks, so I made it this morning, letting it simmer till he gets home. I'm SO not hungry, for anything.. ugh.

I think the ads have become obnoxious on the forum lately.. but I am able to look past it, I understand you have to make money somehow. But is there no monitoring of ads? I mean.. this gem keeps popping up-- I hate pizza, so doesn't mean all that much to me, but I can see someone here, crying about how hard the liquid diet is, or that mushies suck,etc.. and then WHAM.. MMMM PIZZA. That's real helpful. :tongue2:

On my own for a week and going crazy with boredom and loneliness
Daisalana replied to Lisa B's topic in The Lounge
I sympathize. DH goes to his parents for the weekend every once in a while (2 hours away).. he just left about 7 hours ago today, and I'm already laying in bed and wishing he was back. His trips are normally only 1-2 days but I feel antsy without him. Hope you make it through the week, especially not working, your days must feel very long  Spend more time reading LBT this week! -
Actually after reading your post about hoops, I put the original hoop it was pierced with (after cleaning in peroxide) back in. I've had it in since my last post, and so far.. no throbbing pain.. it's sore when I touch it, but that's to be expected. I always had throbbing pain by now. I also did a 15m sea salt soak. I'm hoping if I leave the hoop in long enough it'll finally completely heal. Woohoo. I was trying to figure out when I got them, it was when I lived in Atlanta, which was over 4 years ago!!!
