    I've lost my older daughter

    This.. argh! :cool2:
  2. And congrats to your mom Tracy!! I keep wishing my dad would say he wants it, he keeps trying to diet, and it works for a minute.. He's getting so large, I forget till I see pictures. He's well into high 300's. I always talk about how much I love my band, he's never showed interest. Can't make them want it if they don't want it.
  3. What an interesting 'soft spot' for you. But, it's understandable no one told you about this lapband side effect, as it's more related to your body and not the lapband :cool2:
  4. Mobile is quite a drive, but ya'll should definitely do that, it's a lot closer than Michigan! I am going to a support group tonight. I forgot about it--really wish I hadn't. I am so frumpy looking today, I hate getting dressed these days.. nothing ever fits right, but I can't wear maternity yet! Someone on LBT, said there's a group that means in town, but it's mostly bypass. She's trying to get enough of us together to start an official lap band group in town. I'm in! Mom wants to take me to olive garden for lunch today.....chicken scampi!!!!!!!!!! Man I am so hungry... I want sausage and eggs too Judy!
  5. Yup, while I know it's a blessing not to have the morning sickness, I feel like I'm missing out on a tell-tale sign of pregnancy.

ROFL --> :cool2: I've never been anywhere that had this fried stuff, maybe our fairs have it, but I have never noticed it. I always see candy apples and cotton candy. Never seen BBQ at the fair either! Hm.. I don't know when our fair is coming, I was hoping to go this year.

Ohhh I do know where that is, I've been there in the past year. What room or whatever is it in? That place is pretty big. I'll have to come from work if it's at 6, and I am frumpy today :x
  8. Yeah I've seen some yummy looking fried stuff, but I've never actually been anywhere that had it. I'd like to try the snickers, and cheese curds.. Twinkies are disgusting non-fried, I wouldn't touch em even if they fried it. That's so exciting Tracy! 170's! WOWEEE!! We did our Wed. night cracker barrel last night.. I got 1 catfish fillet, with turnip greens. Somehow (I say somehow, because I have no restriction, nothing is off limits anymore, I even ordered the smaller meal just so I'd have less to eat) I ate 3/4 of the fillet and all of the turnip greens-man they are good-and I felt so stuffed on the way home. I didn't catch it while I was eating, but I had the knot in my stomach, like the pre-band knot you get on thanksgiving day. I was miserable, and I said something like 'Man I am hurting, I wish I could just puke some of it up'.. Russell looked at me and goes 'Gee, that's the spirit'.. heh. Having my morning chocolate milk, and I'm already hungry. By time I went to bed last night, I was craving something. I was half-asleep and half-starving for a hamburger. I decided to sleep and forget about the craving.. but then I woke up, and I'm still craving meat.

Oh I forgot it's tonight. I should be able to come, let me double check. Do you have the specifics of the location? I'm not really familiar with south Huntsville (parkway areas). What is the wellness center out there by? And what time is the meeting, 7?

Yeah I lived in Atlanta a few years ago, never saw any snow..
  11. I was curious about the police being involved, I wouldn't think they could do anything either I hope it gets resolved, that's so scuzzy that they don't back you. When all is said and done, I would move your banking to somewhere that covers you for fraud. My bank covers it--and it's free. I have sworn by it now, I got my mom on the train when her account was hacked and she lost her money.

And if you watched The Office last week, Kelly tried the tapeworm diet

Oh and yup, I'd eat that. That looks nummy.. the fried candy bars. Little fried turds of yummy goodness. I've heard about this, from up north.. fried cheese curds.. which I think sound yummy too.. There is a little local hamburger joint in a connecting city, they deep fry hamburgers. My dad took me once, it wasn't anything like I thought it would be.. I gave it 2 thumbs down.

Hey, we're in the same town! I was going to say our weather is great right now, it's even on the chilly side today.. I guess that's me you're talking about, I have a sweater on today
  15. No, and I personally prefer it without the nutmeg. My favorite is mozzerella & spinach.. mm..
  16. Woohoo Tracy!! I got a firehouse sub for lunch.. ham & turkey..ate 2 bites.
  17. Congrats Heather, hah. I was so scared, I was shaking when it turned to 2 lines. I want kids, but then I instantly thought, "I don't want it yet, take it back!!". It is very scary, and it gets better as you settle into it. Right now I'm in a phase where I still don't really believe it.
  18. Oh yeah, and recognize that White Tiger picture next to my degree? Remember me lugging that around in Gruene? I get so many compliments on it, everyone wants one.
  19. Quiches are nummy.. never had them for lunch, but I love em for b'fast! Here's my new office.. desk is a mess, still trying to figure out where to put things now that I have NO DRAWERS.
  20. Haydee- When we do company potlucks, a lot of us make something (anything) in a crockpot at home, transfer it to the company and just plug it back into the wall to reheat. Good way to travel with full meals. With that in mind, you could make pasta noodles ahead of time, and bring in some sort of homemade sauce w/meat in it, in the crockpot. Mac&cheese&meat in the crockpot like a pie.. (thinking of things people have done here).. A big hearty soup if it's getting chilly there (or chili). And as for side affects of anti-anxiety.. for me, it does kill my libido, but it's not an ongoing thing.. only when you're actually on them.. but you shouldn't take them everyday anyway. So say you had a bad day, take xanax, for the 6ish hours it is affecting you, you won't want sex. Wanting to eat veggies.. uhm.. never experienced that one. But think that, and maybe it'll happen as a placebo affect I just got back from shopping with the CFO, we had to get new supplies for new employees.. was a headache. I am starving now. FOOOOD.. must.. find.. oo Russell coming down the hall, I bet we going to lunch!!
  21. They prescribe xanax and valium around here too, xanax is what we have going around when it's needed.. Like Terry said they make you not give 2 shits about anything. So when we deal with customers screaming for hours on end, you can pop one and calmly deal with them, without getting upset/emotional/overworked, etc. Things just don't matter. Which is why its an abused drug, people self-medicate to keep from having to deal with anything in life. I think there's a time and a place for anti-anxiety meds...and if you have anxiety attacks, definitely time and place!!
  22. Sorry clever, I never saw your response.. and sorry you're still not getting anywhere  I will go through my old emails at work tomorrow and see if I still have the email from the guy I was talking to at Allergan. I am selfpay so I had to pay for my revision surgery, it was approx. $2,000... but this included a replacement band, which I did not end up needing, so they refunded $1,200..the rest went to the hospital/anesthesia.. since my doctor felt bad of my self paying, he actually did not charge for his service. Call around and see if you can get quotes from other reputable doctors in the area.. since you may have to pay for yourself. That way if insurance stands firm (let your current doctor keep trying to fight it), you have a back up plan. And it's reading posts like this, that make me all the more happy with my doctor.. heh.

    Too Many Complications???

You're certainly not alone, and the band just isn't right for everyone unfortunately. If you look around in complications, you'll see that it just doesn't work right for all. I'm sorry you're going through that, and though I don't specifically know about it causing all of those things I definitely feel for you. Keep in touch with your doctor to find out what they think you need to do, if they think the band is causing your body all of these complications, it would be better to take care of it sooner than later. Don't let them, let you, slip through the cracks.

  25. Oh no Kat!! This happened to my mom last year, and they wouldn't even credit her back. This company didn't have any coverage for these things, so I advised her to get the hell away from a company like that. Luckily she was only out $200 when she caught it. Then this year, my Sears card was some how accessed.. we've only ever used it in the store, at our local Sears.. so if they didn't take responsibility I would have sued them. Luckily, they just sent us paperwork, showing our signatures, taking our 'statement' about the charges, and signing that we would indeed file criminal charges if they caught whoever did it. It was used in Denmark at a sports store-- didn't even know Sears cards could be used anywhere else, much less a sports store in Denmark. Anyway, after we returned that packet they credited our money back within a week. Hope you get this cleared up quickly, and I am the weary internet fear-monger, but MAKE SURE anytime you use your card online, you know the website, and they have a logo that has encrypted security verified. Normally for overseas purchases, it's someone who hacked it online.. and I'm still trying to figure out how my Sears card was breached!
