My last allergist appt, I walked out. I was doing a follow up, all I needed to do was say 'meds are working'. I waited in the lobby forever, and I needed to get back to work. I finally told the girl I need to reschedule, I don't have that kind of time!! I wish she could have just told them for me-- hey meds are workin, she's good. They have signs in their lobby though that warn you it could take ALL DAY LONG because they want to take care of their patients (BS BS BS BS alert, they are such crappy people there). Now I'm suppose to go back in August to do the same thing, just let them know it's all good. I will probably cancel, the 2 meds I'm on I can take while pregnant and I have a year Rx of refills, so I don't need the docs right now. I called my band doc, I need the SLIGHTEST of unfills. I hate it, I've been 'too tight' for a while, but only by a teeny bit.. but now it's bugging me at night, I'm coughing up the bile. And I'm craaaaving veggies, and veggies haven't been my friend in a long time. They normally see me around 2pm, so I get home late in the evening. I called today to ask if I could get a 9-10am appt so I could drive back and still go in to work. She said they no longer do morning appts since they do surgeries every morning, but she would talk to them. Called me back in 5m and I have a 10am appt on Friday. So nice of them!! Their doc office is the nicest I've ever met, which is why I picked them. Now if they would just relocate.. And they all say 'honey' and 'sweetie' with their thick southern accents. Carson's sick cycle started again.. SIGH. He went off antibiotics on Monday and yesterday his nose was a little runny, today its thick and goopy, which means tomorrow starts ear problems.. but we go to his ear doc tomorrow, maybe that's good timing.

It's not me, it's Russ. He's got sleep apnea *I* think. He is tired all the time so he actually decided to do something about it. He feels like he is never rested. And his whole life he's never had a single dream (that he remembers), so maybe he doesn't go into REM or something. Whatever it is, he's ready to get to the bottom of it. They made me go so I could tell them what I observe when he sleeps. I keep saying I want to ghost a doc's office for a day, just to see what the hell they are doing. I mean if you open at 8am, and the appt is at 8am, you gotta be working really hard at making someone wait 2 hours.

Wow Judy, I can't believe that stuff. See, churches just put a bad taste in my mouth!!!! These are grown ups right?! And Pam, your Allergist made me laugh. I *hate* my allergist, but I can't go anywhere else. I could see me doing the same thing over something far less worse. That kind of camera is a great idea Haydee. In fact, if someone posts a good one that may be what I get for Xmas this year. For like 3 years in a row every Xmas Russ would get me a camera. Always the sleek small ones, and they never worked well, always fuzzy.. so he got me the big bulky one I have now, which takes great pics, but I like the idea like you said of being able to snap snap snap. That's important for newborns!! Spent 2 hours at a sleep clinic this morning for a 5 minute visit. I can't stress enough how much I loathe doctor offices. And this was a 2 hour wait and our appt. was when they OPENED so it's not like they were backed up. ARGH. Went for Russ, they asked me to go since I see him sleep. So they're going to do sleep studies. This office is like 35m from my house.. we have one of their branches about 2 miles down the road. They scheduled the studies at the one way far away, so I was like can we do it in Madison?? And the girl goes 'the doctor would have to see you again, he wrote it up for here'. REALLY, REALLY?!!??!?!? Did I tell ya'll about our flat tire? Last Thursday we had a consult for Carson's tubes, and on the way (with Carson in rush hour) my car got a flat tire in the middle of the interstate. Then Russ tried to change the tire, but on the last lugnut the wrench got stripped. So he flagged folks down, one person stopped their wrench didn't fit.. meanwhile my friend Brandy came from work and brought hers... and it didn't fit. So like an hour and a half later, I ride with her to get a wrench from someone who has my car at work.. Russ strips this one on my tire... then cops FINALLY stop. Their big muscley-goodness finally got the damn nut off. We were too late for his appt, and I was so frazzled, and we were all hot and sweaty and in a bad mood. Carson cryin the whole time and I couldn't get him out and play with him on the side of a busy interstate.

My baby is Izzy until evidence proves otherwise  If it's a girl, it is 100% going to be Isabelle.

Preface, those of you who know me on Facebook please don't say anything, not telling my real life folks just yet. We've been tracking my ovulation for 2 months to try to plan for a girl (long story). I have not ovulated according to tests. I got to the end of a clearblue ovulation kit pack and it comes with a pregnancy test, so I took it for fun. Well, that and I had my tell-tale sign I had from my first band baby, ridiculous tightness in the band and can't get food down. Sure enough, I'm pregnant again! Hopin' for a girl this time! Due 2/14/11.

Because, I have been on b/c since I was 14 to regulate my periods, and when I was off of b/c I wouldn't have a period for 6m, then I would have one long heavy one for 2-3m straight. Then they discovered my left kidney is down in my uterus area, not on the left side of my body like it should be. So my gynos for years told me they didn't think I'd be able to get pregnant very well, or sustain a baby with the kidney (something about as it grows, it may hinder growth, blah blah). Dec of 09 my doc was going to do a dye test to see where everything flows around the kidney to look at moving it, then I ended up pregnant when I went off b/c. Ends up they were all wrong, I think Carson just pushed the kidney out of his way! Anywho, Heather I wanted to wait till C was about 4 before having #2. Russ wanted #2 right away (like literally!). I told him I'd compromise and we could plan for #2 when Carson turned 2.. then the more I thought and thought about it, I realized the closer they are together, the better chance (I know this doesn't guarantee anything!!) they will be GREAT FRIENDS when they grow up. I know me and my brother (2 years apart) were best friends till my sister came along (6 years after me). And I've never been close with her, she's always been too young and immature to me. Russ' brothers are idiots, but they were all close growing up (all 1.5yr between each), and they both really look up to him and they get along and talk, etc. etc.. much unlike me and my siblings! No going back now, I've been reading about how to introduce a new baby to a toddler, addressing the jealousy and it said 'many toddlers ask their parents to send the baby back'. OH DEAR. It's thundering but not raining here, we need some rain though. I LOVED GLEE LAST NIGHT!! And poor Rachel, her mom adopting another teenage pregnancy's girl is not going to make her feel better. The music was good last night, UNLIKE last week, I was so disappointed last week. Here is a funny video Russ sent me, it's Sue doing some.. actually, I don't know what it's for, but it's pretty funny.. I love her character everytime she is on; I'm use to seeing her as a doctor or lawyer as cameos in tv shows, or the dean in L Word. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QzmtZQMqso OH and Pam speaking of layoffs, did you see that teacher (I don't remember where) who was TEACHER OF THE YEAR was one that was cut?!

Thanks! I gained way too much during pregnancy, but my band did break halfway through the pregnancy, and I had no self-control. I was up to 285lb when I left the hospital with baby in my arms.. I'm down to 256lb and have stayed there for a couple months now. I was hoping to lose some more before baby #2, but I am DETERMINED not to gain... 73lb?! again. I'm not doing the unfill thing, and just fingers crossed the band doesn't break. My doc said it wasn't related, but I know Carson kicked in the area that broke a lot. Doc still said not possible unless he was actually in my chest or something. I dunno. I'm just hoping he is right so I don't have to go through it again!

I'm still in a state of shock, I can't believe how fertile we turned out to be..and to think I was going to be doing fertility testing at one point!!
-
Haydee, there's this little metal piece that connects the port-side tube to the band-side tube (not sure if this is universal). Mine broke in half. They said it was unrelated to the pregnancy, just happened to happen during the pregnancy. Going to try to lock this thread.

I'm fuzzy on the details, there was that calculator I posted on here a while back that said if you're a normal cycle woman, based on your whatever, these are the dates you should do things to increase chance of a girl. We still did that, even though the ovulation kits never said I was ovulating (using those, when they finally say postive you will ovulate in the next 24-48 hours). Anyway, so it's still 50/50 no matter what, we did try things to 'increase' the chance of a girl, but since I have no idea when I ovulated, there's just no telling. Happy either way!!!! I had to text my mom, she's in the bahamas and the phone calls don't go through. I tried sending her a pic of the test, didn't work.. so I texted her 'Izzy is here!!' and she goes "REALLY?!?!? You know it's Izzy already?!" LOL. You don't find out till 5m, like I would have been able to keep it a secret that long. I tested by accident, I was doing my ovulation test thing, and it comes with 1 free pregnancy test, so I opened the wrong one.. figured since it was already open I'd do both. And there it was. I told Russ it can't be right, if I didn't MEAN to take a pregnancy test, it can't tell me I'm pregnant!! So I took a couple more tests, all positive, so now I guess I'll believe it.
-
I don't think so, this is a shock actually, I've been tryin to test ovulation for 2 months with no positive result. According to my last period etc. etc.. I conceived on May 25. Edit, I know I wasn't, I was on my period in Houston!!

Keeping her in business!!! I've got that ridiculous tight band that I had last time, my tell-tale sign. I'm so hungry but nothing goes down. I already knew for number 2 I wouldn't get an unfill, cause it passed after a couple weeks and on packed the pounds. Going to tough it out with vitamins, broth, grits, and whatever else I can squeeze in.

Uhm... got a new countdown for you Judy, in case you weren't busy enough with all the others.. Due 2/14/11! <3

OH and Carson learned to blow kisses this weekend. It's so funny when he finally learns something, he overdoes it. He now knows 'Touchdown', blowing kisses (with the MMMMMA! sound), and 'yaaay' we clap our hands.. so he does all 3 over and over and over on the drive to and from work. And duck, everything is a duck. If he's getting fussy I go "Where's the duck?" and his face instantly calms and he looks to the window and points.

Wellll I don't sacrafice my getting up at buttcrack AM for just anyone (catch what I mean here?), but the wedding was beaaautiful and I so honored to be a part of your special day. Sorry I'm not posting much, I read, just forget to post. I've been buying Carson Stride Rites off of ebay. Their store is so ridiculous, $40-$60 for BABY SHOES. Really?! He outgrows them in a week. Found some new ones on ebay for $10-$15 with shipping included. They are so cute, he is so funny running around the house now. Work is crazy, and Judy yo yo minister thomas, I think I told some of the girls about him but you may not have been there. This guy who calls and makes me explain things to him all the friggin time, and he answers calls with "yo yo this is minister thomas". He made me see red today, after all the hours on the phone, for months, for this one stupid ass job, he called and cancelled it. I told the CSR, I am no longer taking his calls, if they call him do NOT page me, put it to my voicemail and I'll delete it. I don't want his business, or lack there of. I've spent more time on the phone with him--without a single order-- than my biggest accounts I've had for YEARS. Uhmmm what else.. I booked a day at the spa & our anniversary cake from the lady who did our wedding cake for our upcoming anniversary. 3 years married, 9 years? together. Woohoo.

Heather- I did that too, I love storms.. I even love tornadoes and flooding. Just not if I have to DRIVE. Pam- Russ said we were right about whatever the thing is you paid for, it infected important Windows files and just fubar'd your computer. He's getting it in shape though! He said he's surprised they have such nasty viruses for Windows 7 already.

I won't tell you what I was doing all last night, oh my goodness.. drama drama drama. I watch Parenthood, I love that show too! Pam I texted you but haven't heard an answer, so in case you get here first... We got your comp, it's all fine... we need your password to login to the comp. I actually had to call a local college to ask if this 100 year old man really worked there. I think I'm even more disappointed that he DOES work there-- in communications!! This guy has come by twice, and called me every friggin day, acts like he's never talked to me before, asks me for something we DON'T DO, I explain to him every single day what we do. Then he does it again the next day. He is not coherent, he belongs in a nursing home. I can't believe he actually WORKS at the university.

Though it sounds like none of you really watched Lost, here is a GREAT breakdown of what it all meant, and I was pleasantly surprised at the end to realize the person who wrote this was a writer on the show. http://lostmediamentions.blogspot.com/2010/05/someone-from-bad-robots-take-on-finale.html It explains it enough to satisy me, so I'm good again.
-
The first 3 seasons of Lost were AWESOME!!! Then they started doing seasons to just mess with you. A whole season where maybe this is all Hurley's dream... another whole season where this is about time travel... Both of which weren't true. I didn't like those seasons. After that, I only watched Lost to FINISH it. Then this last season I was glad to finally get answers to everything, but then with the finale it all contradicts and they DID leave it open to interpretation. I'm trying to get as many opinions as I can, because I don't like forming my own opinion on it, I just want an answer.

Welcome back Haydee!! That 3rd pic doesn't even look real, looks like you dropped your pic on top of a fake beach setting LOL!! Must have nice beaches down there. I'm in a daze from Lost finale last night. I don't know what to think. Jimmy Kimmel had interviews with the cast to get more insight (it came on at like 11pm though, so I recorded it) and 'alternate endings'. I watched the first 10m, I *think* Jimmy Kimmel is going to give me more closure than the finale did--how funny is that?! We took Carson to this Safari park on Saturday, I posted pics on FB I know some of you have seen them! That was INTENSE. They make you sign waivers and stuff because your car could get fubared, and then LUCKILY we bought a bucket of (optional) feed. I think they need to require it. Once you pay you drive into the gate, as soon as we pulled in a million goat/deer/emu (I am terrified of emu!!) and whatever else swarm your car!!! So the lady is like making me inch in, then closes the gate on me. We were stuck at that gate about 15m, then we coordinated throwing food out the window to get them out from in front of the car. Then this ugly ram thing kept following us and head-butting the car. Emu's kept pecking the windows. You can't roll your windows down farther than 6", but I never opened my window.. I was a big pansy. Carson LOVED it. He was going "UHHH?? DAT DAT DAT!" and pointing and getting so excited. We toured around for about 1.5 hours and he loved every minute. Pam when you called me Sat, we were on our way there, that's why C was talking-- it's like an hour drive from our house so he was gettin pissy. I am going to upload a video in a min, those of you on FB need to see it hah hah. They had turtles you could pet at the entrance, some massive ones, and tiny ones.. so the lady said yes you can pick them up, but only a couple inches off the ground. So the big and bigger ones would follow you (creepy), and I was recording one that was coming up behind Carson (they kind of creeped him out too!!) and all of a sudden he snatches up a baby turtle and it was heading straight to his mouth! It was so funny.. so I'm going to go upload that now. Yay everyone is back, back to our rambling!!! :tongue2:
