Yes, especially if you're in a position that pulls/pushes the muscles that the port is actually stitched to. My port was moved to my chest, and I am 13 months since then.. I still get pain (like I am pulling my port stitched) if my legs are up too high and my body is squishing my chest.

any word from Wheetsin?
Daisalana replied to losingjusme's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
Yeah, has it has it has it?? I imagine she's in the hospital since she disappeared after leaving those messages about being in potential labor. Pics! Pics! -
Actually CNN just sent me a breaking news, they found an SUV linked to the Jennifer Hudson case, with a child's body inside  They haven't confirmed it, but I'm sure it's the nephew. Michelle, one of our coworkers mom just had hip surgery and has been compacted ever since (2 weeks I think it was), she ended up in the ER for them to 'dig' the poo out. I told them about your cat, they kind of looked at me like.. human vs. cat? Heh.. your cat was put to sleep at least wasn't it? Tis the season to be poop-congested I guess! I heard about the anchorwoman too, it is a sad crazy world. And I am gaining weight at such a horrible rate, I hate myself, but I can't stop. I did have Russell hide the candy in the house, and I haven't looked for it.. but I am heating up caramels to make a caramel sauce, then just eating the sauce.. and I am still hungry 24/7. Nothing I can ignore, it may be head hunger, but my stomach aches and I am dying for food all the frickin time. Pepperocinis! I've never ever liked them, Russell would eat them when we get them at pizza places or in salad at Olive Garden, I've tried a bite once in a while, and they're disgusting. Suddenly? I LOVE THEM. I made him go to this bar across the street that puts them in their salads and ask for an order of just pepperocinis.. and I ate them all in one sitting.. 7 of em. I love strong flavors right now, mmm. That's gotta be the weirdest thing I have ever craved. They are nasty :/ And I don't know what to do about the band, I think it's working for the most part, but I'll eat till I PB.. I can't stop myself, what is wrong with me

How much did you gain w/ band & baby?
Daisalana replied to Liz1531's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
I'm still being a cow, still gaining way too much weight, still hate myself for it.. -
Oh and did you guys see Jennifer Hudson (American Idol/Dream Girls/etc)' mom & brother were killed the other day??
-
No, I don't have to get up every hour. I get up at 5am like clockwork, go back to sleep and have to go again when I wake up 3 hours later.. but this isn't different from pre-pregnancy  I have to use the bathroom a lot more throughout the day.. I got up at 9am this morning due to Russ' snoring I never get to sleep in.. made an 'interesting' stew.. took a benadryl, my nose has been killing me for days.. and ended up back asleep by noon. Just woke up 30 minutes ago. Denise they are soo cute~ Hope everyone is having a good weekend, darn Monday is coming too soon

Oh today is the first time a complete stranger asked if I was pregnant. There's some odd stuff to the situation, and the funny part is-- it was due to the lap-band that I was having issues, not pregnancy.. so for this long when I have PB incidents, no one says a word, till today, when I actually AM pregnant. Funny! I got a soup and pasta, we (Russ and I) went to lunch with my dad and 2 of his friends. They ordered breadsticks appetizer. I ate 2.. weren't getting stuck, so I had one more. Little did I know, they were getting stuck. When soup came, one tiny bite and I hurt so bad.. It needed to come up! So I go to the bathroom, spit as much as I could out, but still felt stuck and hurting. Came back, played with my soup but didn't eat anymore. Asked for a to-go cup. She brought my pasta, I asked for a to-go box.. she goes 'Why aren't you eating?'.. never had someone ask that, I've had them ask if it was bad or not, but not 'why'...so I said 'ah.. uh.. uhm.. Just..cause??' And she goes "Are you pregnant?".. wow, what if the 5 guys at my table didn't know? Hah hah.. so I just said "actually, yeah" heh. So now I keep looking at myself trying to figure out what gave it away. Not showing, but I am wearing maternity, but not maternity you would know it's maternity--the shirt is just longer. I ended up PBing 3x before we left, and it still is stuck. My band is so weird these days. It's always a surprise how open or tight I am.

Same here, you had me worried Kat!!!! CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have a drink tonight on me Terry- I agree 100%. But that's where I think you & I are the only republicans in the V group.. What can we all agree on? WE ALL LOVE EACH OTHER <3

Yeah do you have a baby yet?

Judy you look fantastic!!! Haydee, I'd love the recipe if you find it. I looked online for ways to spruce up the base she gave me, but I like pumpkin and I'd like a good recipe for it. The one she gave me was really lacking. After sitting it was better, but it still wasn't enough to make me want to make it again. Also, go read this article. All the Bush nay-sayers, he may not have done everything you wanted him to during his presidency, but this market crashing? Clinton's doing. Fannie Mae Eases Credit To Aid Mortgage Lending - New York Times Article date.. Sept. 1999. So glad it is Friday, it's COLD & rainy today. I am going to dinner with my buddy tonight.. I had a dream about it, we ended up at some movie shoot and he was with all his friends and I was in stiletto knee-high boots and 'ice skating' all over the place.. weee.

I don't know who Rick is (yea yea) but uh, I thought he looked pretty damn good for 60! My gut feeling is boy, but I want to be wrong!
-
That's a lot easier than what I've been doing Pam!! I have a fake pumpkin, that carves/looks like a real pumpkin--but you can use it every year. I started carving last night, never done this before. My hand has several blisters and after several hours I am only halfway through. WHEW. If only it were as easy as this website

I'm going to be an Athenian person. Got a black toga looking thing, stripper heels that lace up the legs, and a coin necklace. TA-DA. Ok seriously, I am out of control. In the past week, I have eaten AT LEAST 3 candy bars a day. Full sized, candy bars. And at least 1 coke. What the heck is wrong with me? I am so mad at myself. But then I don't stop?! I'm wrecklessly binging.

It's been cold enough for sweater lately, 50-60's during the day. Just found out we have to go through 100,000 books (that go in software game boxes), because some idiot let 1/20 (approximately) get messed up in the machine.. and the customer needs us to count and let them know how many are correct. So that's what I'll be doing all day.. going through boxes and checking out books. Perks of my job. And Macy is adorable

Ejm- I forget how long you've been at this in general, but even if you do everything right, it can still take a while! The ultimate light at the end of the tunnel, is that if all else fails with your reproductive system, there's a ton of babies that would love to be adopted We plan to have 2 kids, I wanted to experience pregnancy, but for the 2nd we plan to adopt. And whenever I think about the actual birthing part I get anxious and sort of wish I'd just decided to do 2x adoptions! -
The ringworm? It is ringworm, he says.. he gave me ointments to put on it. Nothing else to say about it hehe.. and my arm is bruised from the flu shot! Having 4oz milk, applesauce, and a cheese snack for b'fast. The pumpkin bisque was really interesting. My friend can't add spices and like I said, she uses coconut oil/milk.. well, as I cooked (and tasted) it was so completely bland with the spices she said to use. So I added garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt & pepper, and some extra red pepper flakes. Was still pretty blah. By time I finished cooking it, I wasn't impressed. Had a small bowl just to give it a try, and it kind of grew on me, but I don't plan on making it again. But I covered it and left it on the stove for a few hours. Went back to put it in the fridge--took a bite. It was really good! It's like the flavor just took a few hours to release??? Was very bizarre. I wrote down that recipe too Terry, I love soups! I don't like soups with potatoes in them ..blech. My granny made some soup with keilbasa & corn chowder base.. it was awesome. I keep meaning to get that recipe too. I ended up FFWDing through the first hour of Brokeback Mountain. The 2nd hour was a pretty good movie, that was sad. The first hour though, jeez.. hardly any dialogue. 2 hicks on a mountain, herd sheep, don't like beans, 'love' each other, repeat..for an HOUR.

Cloth vs. Disposable Diapers
Daisalana replied to Jennie1976's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
You don't poop/diarhea/pee in your underwear.. or I don't anyway :grouphug: -
Woops, I missed it! Still smoke free, but missing it more lately. Today ended up being such a day, I want one SO BAD. Watching Brokeback Mountain, wow.. zzzzzzzzzz. I had to get on the laptop to keep from falling asleep. I wanted to see it (besides the reviews I've heard) cause I think both guys are hot.. having a hard time watching them be rednecks.. course, I do know they will be gay at some point. Does it pick up Pam???? My friend who is allergic to almost every food (I told ya'll bout her), she has to do the paleolithic diet basically, minus some foods they could have.. anyway she sent me a recipe for a pumpkin soup. She can't use butter or milks/creams.. so she used coconut oil & coconut milk, but it sounds really good.. broth, pumpkin puree, onions and spices.. simmer 30m then add cream/milk. I'm about to go make that for dinner.

That's weird Kat, one of my sister's dogs do the same thing. It uses the bathroom in the house, so she keeps it outside mostly.. but it poops on the concrete!! A huge yard, and it chooses the concrete. Got back from the doc, been a hectic day already. I had an important conference call at noon, and my doc was running 45 minutes behind and I had 5 minutes to get across town for this call ugh.. then listening to 4 different companies talk about this project and blah blah. I got my flu shot, and it was easy peasey, but now it's aching  I asked her if I should get it in my butt, she said no.. now I wish she'd just have done that. Oh and they said it is ringworm. Lovely. He found another patch I didn't see.
-
Welcome back Judy! Glad you're feeling better Tracy! About to head to the doc, just wanted to let ya'll know I had a dream about you last night!! We were having our bandiversary bash in Gatlinburg! And some reason on day 2, I had to drive all the way back home for a doc appt.. and then the next day, I was too tired to drive all the way back, so I was texting ya'll in mass texts lol.
-
I think I know what you're talking about Kat, I found that earlier when I was googling.. I don't remember the name now but the big round one was called the 'herald' spot, and then smaller ones formed all over after that one formed. It doesn't itch or bother me, and I know one of my cats was diagnosed with ringworm 2 years ago but it went away without meds so I let it go--even though I know it won't go away, cats can just carry it without symptoms. Just surprised it would affect me now. Russell saw it when I was changing last night, so I have no idea how long it's been there. I am going to my doc tomorrow for the flu shot, so I'll have him check it out while I'm there... but like I said, it doesn't itch so I'd be surprised if it was ring worm.
-
Seems appropriate, thoughts?
-
Same here, being 'surprised' isn't an option. DH and I have already been fighting about this. He does NOT want to know, he wants the excitement of finding out when it's born.. mmk, but I will be excited when I find out in December. We don't see eye-to-eye, but I told him I respect his decision not to know-- but I AM finding out. He keeps begging me to wait, I don't know why he cares what I do if I don't tell him. Because of him though, I can only tell a small handful of people so it doesn't accidentally get out. He doesn't care about decor, I already picked out a boy & girl set.. so when I find out, I will order whichever set and in my last month I will decorate the room and keep the door closed so he doesn't know. I want to know nooowwwwww. :tongue2: I'm scared the girl set won't be available by time I find out, and I am so in love with it. In fact, I'll be a bit disappointed it's not a girl if it's a boy, simply because I want to order this set. :crying:

Because of my due date and the time they believe I conceived, it means I conceived on our 1 year anniversary in Jamaica. I was pretty hammered that whole time (so maybe there is something to getting drunk=fertile :tongue2: ) and I was on boat rides, jumping off cliffs, flying, scuba diving, dancing, eating all kinds of exotic and potentially dangerous food lol. My baby implanted despite all that.. what doesn't kill us, only makes us stronger??
