LOL. Mom said kids don't do the trick or treat till 2 y/o... so I have another year at least of sittin at home passin out candy! Sorry for your loss Jenn. WARNING: The consumption of margaritas may cause you to believe that calling an ex-lover at 3:00 in the morning is a GOOD idea. I did that with Russell. We broke up a lot when we first started dating, and the year we spent apart, at some point I got drunk with friends (although, not margies), and I called him at 2am. I was in a hotel, he was asleep. So I was "whispering" and trying to get him to talk. He just kept saying things like "Don't do this.." and I was saying how much I loved him and blah blah. Good times!!

congrats!!!!!! so lucky )

It also doesn't help my gyno & her nurse make me feel like crap when I go in and get weighed. I am upset enough with myself, and I go back Monday. Last time she made a comment about gaining more than I need to be, and I need to watch what I eat and I explained to her I feel hungry all the time--in hopes she could offer suggestions--and she said "Then eat vegetables". I know that's a good idea in theory, but when I'm starving I don't want some vegetables. Kind of like the smoking issue, when I asked her for help/advice on how to quit, her only advice was 'Just quit smoking'.

Last night out of the blue Russell asked how I felt about my weight gain during pregnancy. Surprised me, because he normally doesn't bring up things like that. I told him I don't like that I'm gaining, I know I'm eating too much, but I feel like I haven't eaten in a week.. 24 hours a day. He just asked if I planned to commit back to it post-pregnancy, and I said of course. Right now it's my body being hungry all the time, it is NOT head hunger. I have evaulated that, to make sure it's not just me wanting food. I am truly hungry all the time. But the head part of me controlling myself, well.. that is lacking. I am hoping post-pregnancy with whatever I gain (sigh) I will be able to diligently get it back off. I just hope I don't continue at this rate, kind of wished I had morning sickness up to now so I'd have continued losing since it says many women lose weight beginning of pregnancy and 2nd trimester is when they really pack it on.. joyous. Today is our employee appreciation lunch & dinner.. where sales & management cook for them. I just finished helping set up the buffet and room, and it hit me again. I am absolutely starving. My stomach is actually in pain from being so hungry. I took a piece of pumpkin bread--only thing I can actually munch on, as everything else is outside getting cooked. It has done nothing, my stomach still hurts from hunger. I've had 2 bottles of Water this morning already, not helping at all.

Hah I like it Terry. This morning some guy was arguing on the radio show that he's voting for Obama because he upholds the TRUE sabbath day (Saturday vs. Sunday). He never had a come back for the abortion & marriage issues.

Woohoo Congrats!!! And when you get a chance, long version is good too And the pics! -
Michelle, so what's the magic fix? I weighed myself last night.. are you ready? I'm so ashamed and disappointed!!! 229lb. So disheartened. 212lb on Aug. 19, and now I am up 17lbs. I was so close to 100's, now I am creeping far far away. Don't know what to do, I can't explain it.. I am so hungry and I just can't stop. No will power whatsoever. I need to get the fill and get over the tight days. Do liquids on my tight days and be done with it.

My doc thinks a c-section would be too dangerous due to a pelvic kidney, so she's planning to do natural unless there's an absolute emergency (I am just praying there's no breeching going on!!). And I am going in with the notion of, the more pain meds the better. Tracy, I did get in touch with her, she got my flowers so she called me She said it made her feel better, and she said they got the results back.. Her mom had an undiagnosed cardiovascular disease caused by CHOLESTEROL AND SMOKING. The plaque built up and a piece broke loose and killed her instantly. She said her mom never went to the doc, so they never caught it. Sounds just like my mom--who has been saying for months she thinks she needs her cholesterol checked, but won't go!! I told my mom today, no excuses she is going to get labs done. She got weepy a few times, but honestly she is handling it so much better than I imagine I would be. I would be in a drug induced sleep non-stop. Her dad isn't handling it well so she is having to do the funeral arrangements.

Hakuna Matata ya'll ) Whoever said 4 weeks.. My doc never told me, and I believe day 4 or 5 post-op I was romping. As soon as the stitches stopped hurting.

Yup, I was about to offer those suggestions. I read a lot of places (including dentists!) collect the candy to give to shelters for stocking stuffers.. and some dentists actually pay like $1 a pound. Hype Macy up that she'd be helping people less fortunate, and let her pick out a handful of candy she likes, then donate the rest. If you don't know where to donate, tell her you're donating it and bag it up in the car (trunk) until you find a place so it's not in easy reach of ANYONE

Ohhh Haydee, just found this on my phone, wanted to ask you about it.. I never saw the brand of pork rinds you sent us, (mine are long gone now hehe so I forgot the brand), but these grabbed my attention at the store. Packaged different, but some reason it looked similar to those bags. It says it's made in TX.. is this the one your (mom owns?) isn't that right? Let me know, cause that means our stores carry them now! Mom just got back from Chicago, she brought me this bottle of water. It's almost 30oz and is glass. She said she got room service and asked for 2 bottles of water.. they brought her 2 of these, and she said they were $20 each so she wasn't going to throw it away lol.

Yes Panda I'm pregnant, I am 15 weeks today.. due April 23! Haydee.. I dress up every year to pass out candy. I am going to see Saw IV (or is it V? The new one in theaters) with my mom, sis, and sis' gf tomorrow night. I am medusa this year.. it's really just a black athenian looking toga thing, with gold ropes and gauzy veil shoulder drapes, etc.

Got up early to do hair and make up.. russ in the shower.. He's very cute Panda, congrats Gas is back down here too thank goodness. It was $2.42, took $28 to fill up russells tank yesterday.. was $68 a month or so ago!! Had dentist yesterday, first time ever he said my teeth look great and didn't tell me I need to floss. I floss daily, but some reason everytime I go he tells me I need to floss. I tell him I do, and he hmms. 40 minutes of my appt. was the hygenist telling me about her story with kids. She's 27 with 3 kids, and was tellin me all kinds of interesting stuff.. got pregnant in college when she lost her virginity, blah blah blah.. I kept glancing at the clock, I didn't get out of there, from a regular cleaning..for almost 2 hours!! Ok off to finish getting dressed and off to work..

First, do we specify male/female when we register? If not, is there a feature we can activate that requires everyone to select a gender.. If so, is there a way to make powder Room/Men's Room gender only? Meaning, only if you are marked male/female you can go into the appropriate areas? I don't consider myself prude, but I general don't like to participate in some of the randy conversation in the Powder Room just because where I would be more candid with my lady friends, as a married woman I don't feel it'd be appropriate for men to see some of my responses.

Gender Specific Area Suggestion
Daisalana replied to Daisalana's topic in Website Assistance & Suggestions
Well this is how I look at it-- we can track if someone has 2 accounts on 1 computer, so that's out.. and if it's some random person who seriously found this website just to get their jollies (frankly, that is pretty slim.. they can check out all kind of girlie forums that aren't weight loss specific, and who knew that info would be here? ) but if it's some random person.. doesn't bother me. I'm talking about the friendships I have formed here.. It's fun to talk about girly stuff with girl friends, and yet inappropriate for guy friends to hear it. -
My granny got her recipe to me for her kielbasa corn chowder (om nom nom), thought I'd pass it on. Here's the original recipe.. 8 ounces kielbasa, halved lengthwise and thinly sliced 2 onions, finely chopped 1 tablespoon butter One 14.5-ounce can chicken broth 1 large baking potato (about 12 ounces), peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes 1 cup half-and-half One 1-pound bag frozen corn, thawed Salt and pepper 1. Heat a deep skillet or a wide 4- to 6-quart pot over medium-high heat. Add the kielbasa and cook, stirring, until lightly browned, about 6 minutes. Transfer to a plate. 2. Add the onions and butter to the pan and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until golden, about 6 minutes. Add the broth and potato and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover with a lid and simmer until the potato is tender, about 10 minutes. Add the half-and-half and corn and cook, stirring, until heated through. 3. Using a blender or food processor, puree 1 cup chowder until smooth. Stir the puree back into the chowder along with the browned kielbasa and season to taste with salt and pepper. ----- My granny makes a few changes (which I also plan to make), I love when she makes it! Due to dentures, she doesn't use the frozen corn, she uses 2 cans of creamed corn.. and she doesn't do the puree at the end. Her soup is really liquidy, so I imagine the puree would make it more chowdery. I also plan on omitting potatoes, cause my fickle tastebuds don't like potatoes in food. Been trying to get my friend's fiance to call me back all day, I need to make sure I have her right address for flowers. He won't return my calls or texts

Morning V's My best friend out in Albuquerque, the one getting married in March.. texted me last night that her mom died, and she doesn't want to talk so please don't call. She is my age, and this was completely unexpected, so I just feel horrible. I wanted to call her so bad. Her ex-fiance is best buds with Russell so I had him call to see if he heard any more about it.. he said all they know is the dad found her dead when he went to wake her up, so she passed in her sleep. They don't know the cause yet. Apparently she won't take calls from anyone, and I hate being so far away.. I wish I could go over to her house and sit with her, I know she's devastated. I couldn't imagine losing my mom unexpectedly at this age, I'm completely not ready to let her go. So then I texted my mom (who is in Chicago right now) and told her about it, then told her GO GET YOUR LABS!!! She has been talking about wanting to get her cholesterol checked for months, but she is so hard to get to go to a doc. She also had the hysterectomy about 2 years ago and they removed tumors from her ovaries, and she said she knows the tumors are back-- but won't go to the doc. I'm just really spooked and sullen right now. I'm not good with words in situations like this anyway, which is why I'd much rather be there in person to just sit with her and let her cry. Work has got me busy already, time to go drown myself in it!

Newly Pregnant! Help - To Unfill or Not to Unfill???
Daisalana replied to Xann77's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
If you get morning sickness, get it unfilled. If not, leave it alone? Mine was super tight, which was a symptom of my impending discovery of pregnancy, so I went for an unfill. I had no morning sickness and my band doc didn't want me gaining a lot of weight, so he only took out a small amount. I never did get morning sickness, and I'm gaining a lot of weight, so I wish I never had that initial tightness that caused me to get an adjustment.. I was at a great spot. -
So far so good, trying hard to keep my intentions good!!!! 1/2 choco milk for b'fast (80c) cedar planked tilapia & broccoli-cheese soup for lunch (420c)

Oh Terry, I keep meaning to ask you.. I want to commission you for a pair of earrings, but I want them for my mom's b'day (Nov. 15). Would that be enough time?? The other day we were out and she bought some dangly earrings, I forget she likes the indian-ish (turquoise, hammered silver look, etc) stuff.. and she made a point to say how she's not allergic to any metals and can wear anything.. heh heh.. thanks for not passing that along to me  So I thought of you instantly, I want to get her a pair made for her b'day. Let me know if there's enough time for it, what info you need, and I'll start browsing pics to see if I can show you what I had in mind. And yes, I know the instructions were simple, but I'm still a natural blonde. You just pour the entire jar, juices and all into the crock pot? Don't add water?
