  1. The last baby shower I bought for, I browsed her registry but I ended up picking out a super cute outfit I found somewhere else just because I liked it more lol. I don't like creating registries, and I don't like passing them out.. the one time I actually bought off a registry was a friend's brother and his wife-to-be had expensive taste and her registry items minimum cost was $80.. I didn't think my usual target gift was going to live up to her expectations, so we bought something for $80 that was an add-on to something that was more expensive. I think that was more a reflection on them, not having a realistic registry.. anyway.. so I guess point is, I don't like registries.
  2. Warranties are normally bought out by some other company and don't actually go through the original retailer.. you should check the warranty contract. Although some places, the warranties are through the store (but this seems rare), and if they go out of business you're basically out of luck. I am breaking out with another rash on my hairline on my forehead. ARGH. I am so tired of the rashes
  3. LOL Pam.. I sent that to all the girls at work.. and Russell :cursing: Although if he hasn't learned that by now, well.. there's no hope. I just got super huge exciting news. With the economy the way it is, the business we're in (not us particularly) is facing a scary amount of merges.. companies buying each other out, blah blah.. We're seeing it on a daily basis now, our bigger accounts buying out our smaller accounts (doesn't affect our business since it all comes to the same place), but it's a weird trend to watch. Well some of our biggest competitors are closing their doors!! I just found out last night about one of the biggies. There's 3 major competitors in the US. Now 2! We know why they are hurting, our customers are really bad about paying these days, and unless you can get your bank to support you right now, you gotta close up. ANYWAY, my big news.. one of my smaller accounts merged about a few months ago with a huge account I have been trying to land for 2 years. I can't ever get them to call me back, the guy I have as a contact there. Anyway, I was talking with my guy when they merged and asked him about getting their jobs.. he says they have their own vendors, but he is running some quotes through us for them to see if they want to swap. It's been a few months, and today THE CONTACT I've been trying to call for 2 years calls me to place an order. WOO FRICKIN HOO. This is the first time they're pulling a job from their current vendor to send our way. This is major. Either it's major, or their primary vendor was the one big competitor that just closed down.. either way, this is great news for us.

    What's for Thanksgiving this year?

But avoid the dry white meat turkey... ugh.

    Sooooo Frustrated!

Ok I know, I am not someone to lament with you, but I want to emphasize it's not that you're failing with the band, I really fill you just need some more fills. I've heard on average bands your size need 6-7cc to get adequate restriction and if you think you need a fill.. well, your doc is really a jackass, if it was all about self-control you wouldn't have gotten the band would you? :/ Hope you can find somewhere to get a fill, can you call your Mexican doctor and ask if they can recommend someone?

Post Pictures of Your Christmas List

I have that same comforter, I got it for Xmas 2 years ago.. I loooove it. But during the winter I do put a quilt on top of it for weight (it's very lightweight).

    What's for Thanksgiving this year?

Nope, last turkey day I just took about a teaspoon of everything on the menu and sampled everything.
  8. Daisalana

Just to clear this up lol.

Don't think it really matters, some people do what you did too :cursing:

    Calorie intake ???

I think everyone is different, I don't believe my doc gave me a set number.. but I weened down on calories (as you lose weight, you need more caloric deficiency).. I think I started about eating 2,000 calories a day, then a couple months/couple pounds later I went to 1,800 a day, and so on.. till I got to about 1,200-1,400 calories a day, with a day a week (roughly) where I had as much as 1,800.

discomfort around port 2 months out?

Without strenuous activity, it's still possible to have pulled stitches in your port area just from normal movements or bouncing, etc. I have had random pains in my port, and my port did flip, it's now fixed and moved.. and it's not flipped again but every once in a while it aches for no good reason.

    smokeing.

I didn't stop for surgery, I didn't want to give up food & smoking at once.. luckily, my doc didn't require me to give it up. But I did have to quit recently due to pregnancy, and I have to say.. I've always been terrified of quitting, much like you're saying.. if I knew I could have one 'later on' I was ok, and I'd have the one later on.. but when I finally stopped getting them and said "No more", it was oddly easy. I keep thinking this book I read brainwashed me. I never had withdrawals or anything, smoking turned into just.. like wanting a dessert. I never have to have it, I may want it sometimes, but it's not enough to make me buckle.. I just say no.. and things I learned in the book helped *ways of looking at it*. It's called "The Easy Way To Stop Smoking" by Allenn Carr. Friend let me borrow it, and I really think it did brain wash me lol. Couldn't hurt to read.. it even says, don't stop just because you're reading the book, just read the book.

    ...cant figure out if

Not that weird, the band does fickle things. Try eating something you are saying you PB on, and while eating it, make a conscious effort of SMALL bites, and chew chew chew. See if it goes down fine. If it does, no need for an unfill, just need to slow down :cursing:

    I'm New

Welcome to the forum! Look around, I'm sure you'll find anything you need answered in helping with your research :cursing:
  16. Wow Kat, I didn't remember knowing that. That's so bizarre, gotta love how the gov't can screw you.. just like credit reports(I know you know!!!), they mess up and it's all about making you fix it without their help. Tonya, that is a lot going on. Good for you, not turning to food and congrats on your dad making it through like a trooper!! I would have been so distraught. Snow Judy?! What is that stuff.. So far I had a good food day.. water, more water, grilled tilapia for lunch, and drinking more water.
  17. Go to www.photobucket.com and upload the pictures.. Under the pictures they will have URL's.. the one that says "Direct" is what you're looking for. Keep this browser open, then open another browser with LBT forum. Then select on a member asking for the pictures (their name on the left side over here) <-------- Click their name, and select 'send private message', and then go to your photobucket browser, select the 'direct' URL for one picture, paste it in the message to the person in the private message, repeat for every pic you want to share.
  18. That's what I was afraid of, but then I realized.. there's more. If this fails, it's not the end of the world. It sucks, yeah but there's other options too. Can keep on trying, as tedious as it sounds.. but you just have to realize it's not the end-all be-all. Though, statistics are ON YOUR SIDE, so go in with an opimistic attitude )

    Tarun

Congrats on your success so far & welcome to the forum.
  20. Wow Judy it got there quick!!! No peeky peeky. Russell caught your sick Tracy!! I am the one who wakes us up in the morning, and at about 6am I heard him getting up, running to the bathroom and then lots of heaving and throw up noises :/ By time he came back to bed I had a towel and t-shirt covering up my mouth/nose. I do NOT want to throw up right now. Sneezing and coughing pulls muscles in my belly, I can't imagine what puking would feel like right now (on top of the already painful band pukes). I gave him an anti-nausea pill after he got up 2 more times.. that I got from my obgyn. I looked at the bottle, just looks like nausea meds. Then I went to work early to avoid being around him. Suzanne I sent you an email.. The 30th Birthday party I am putting together for my friend ends up it's all going to work out. Decided it will be BYOB with alcohol (lot of stress off my back), and for venue.. another coworker has a huge house on a golfcourse, he likes throwing parties, he was invited already, and I forgot I could just ask him if we could do it there. He even has 5 guest rooms set up for drunkards heh.

    well, I just found out...

My unfill is still working better
  22. Woooohooo welcome to BANDLAND!!!!!!!
  23. It's a health concern though.. not because they are being mean or something. I didn't have to do it for band, but there was a medicine (accutane) they wanted to put me on and the government actually requires you sign off saying you won't get pregnant while on it.
  24. Yeah I don't like raisins and it would ruin my stuffing!!! I'm not sure what my granny's base is, it's really goopy but not liquidy, but doesn't resemble bread or anything.. his moms is made with bread, which he loves.. she still makes it for Christmas! I actually like both of their stuffings.
  25. Went to the mall for lunch, so I saw the Angel Tree & grabbed a couple. For 2 years now, when I hear them advertise it on the radio--I go down there-- and they're completely out of them! So this time I saw it before I heard the ad, and there were TONS.. all over the tree, all over tables, and they had boxes filled with them I asked the lady when they put them out, she said a week ago.. I told her how last year and the year before, they were always gone by time I got there.. and this 5 or 6 year old boy standing there with his mom said "When did you come?". Heh.. ??? I said I didn't know. He was pretty funny, kept pointing out that every kid wanted a bike to his mom. I got a kid and an adult.. this whole concept was beyond Russell, he was very quizzical about it, and I still don't think he understood. I thought he realized every December I donate to something. I wanted to do Angel tree in the past, but they're always gone.. so I just donate money.. I guess he never noticed!
