Shrinkin' Violets Part 3 Read HERE!

Hah as much as I love my violets, Violet makes me think of the Willie Wonka girl.. it's not a name I would want for my kid! I was surprised to see Violet is in the top 100 popular names for 2007, again never met a Violet.

LOL ya'll sound like my mom. She hates this woman who married one of my dad's old partners.. Becky. She said if I name my kid Rebecca (which Russ & I like), they will be called Becky.. All the Rebeccas I ever knew were really 'cool' girls, and none of them went by Becky.. they were Becca or Rebecca. So I told her it depends on the nickname we would call her, and I don't plan to say Becky. Rebecca is the front runner right now, just because it's a name we both really liked. He threw out Claire today and it's one I had thought of, but didn't think too much about it.. but the more I say it, the more I like it (mom said she doesn't like this one either). She is having a fit with how difficult Russell is being.. she likes all of the original names I came up with (like Isabella-Izzy). Natalie is a new one he threw out too, a name I never thought about because I've never known a Natalie, but I don't dislike it. Makes me think of the singer Natalie Ambruglia(sp). I doubt Brianna will stay in the running, I keep saying it, and it never sounds like a normal name to me.

Well I've been going over baby names with Russell a lot lately, since I find out boy or girl on Thursday.. if I keep asking him about a certain gender he's going to catch on, and I don't feel like playing both sides to keep him guessing.. rather have it decided ahead of time. So for boy, it's definitely Carson. Not sure middle name.. but not too concerned, we've had several options and any will work. For girl, we finally narrowed it down to.. Natalie, Claire, Rebecca, Rachel, and maybe Brianna (he actually came up with this one.. which is an odd name to me, and he thinks EMMA is 'out there'..I've never met a Brianna).

No I don't feel the baby kicking, my belly is just heavy and uncomfortable, and when I change positions I cramp up and it's really hard to get comfortable. Wow Judy.. you can keep it!!!! It's 60's today but sure feels a lot colder. Woke up to a local school being on lock down, a man with a gun was seen near the school. I kept saying I bet it's a hunter.. and sure enough, ends up it was a hunter! The economy is making collections a pain at work..and I made the mistake of helping our collections lady with some of my accounts because I guilt my customers into getting their payments in.. and now she always comes to me if they don't answer her in 24 hours. Back to work, just dropping in to see what ya'll are up to!

Had some Japanese chicken for lunch, and then a frosted cookie from the cookie factory in the mall (omg), still working on it actually heh. Went to hobby lobby with mom, everything is 50% off, if we didn't have something specific we were buying I would have gone absolutely nuts (and I didn't bring my money). My new tables come today, going to go home early and set those up, then going to my parents to help set up their Christmas tree, then do some craft my mom found.. carnation trees or something..
  8. Maybe not, but flying definitely lowers your immune system, so a minor infection that your body would ordinarily fight off could become devastating.

    Huntsville Area

Morphine could definitely cause vomiting if you're not use to pain meds. Any of them could actually, but I believe morphine is the strongest! Demoral is what they gave me too, but they would come inject me every 4 hours if I bugged the nurse..they did it right into my IV and it never lasted long enough, so one of the night nurses told me if he injects it in my thigh it takes longer to get out of my system, and I went that route for the night. I was held overnight because that's Dr. Freeman's policy..

I ate like a whole bag of cheetos over the past 3 hours with my friends, mindlessly eating.. and about 6 cookies.. now I am payin for it, I feel so bloated and gross.. ugh.. And I'm laying in bed trying to sprawl out and Apollo is being extremely needy.. Trying to figure out a present for Dirty Santa.. weee. 4 days till I find out if it's a boy or girl!!!!!!!!
  11. Prilosec is a class C I believe, and says not to use during pregnancy.. My doc gave me a list of meds I can take for heartburn, tums and zantac.. which don't work for me. It comes and goes, so it's not as bad as when I use to have it horribly and needed prilosec, it's just the days it does hit me, would be nice to pop a prilosec..
  12. I'm due April 23 going off of first date of last period, but at my first ultrasound my gyno kept saying "Are you sure?" and when I said yeah she said "OK I guess that's what we'll go off of" and they changed my chart, which means my ultrasound said I was either less or farther along, but she didn't tell me which way.

I would say you're pregnant kat, that's exactly how I feel about being starving non-stop  Friends coming over soon, I made chili-3-way for 5! Too tired to get dressed, ugh..did too much on my feet the past 2 days, my back is not happy.. and can not stop yawning.

All groggy. Baby won't let me sleep in, no position is comfortable long enough  I'm suppose to go shopping with my mom today.. not sure where, we have linens n things going out of business so I wanted to swing by and see if they had a body pillow. But they've been 'going out of business' for months now and I'm afraid the place will be picked over. At 3:30 we got the carpet cleaners coming (yay yayayayayayayaya). Really want to sleep right now.. guess it's judge show time. Hope ya'll all have fun, Tracy drink the kahlua for me!! Mix it with vodka & cream mmm.
  15. Good luck.. and someone is wrong, you DO need fiber.. in fact fiber helps you stay fuller longer, and helps with constipation (which can be common when you reduce your food intake!). Don't reduce fiber.
  16. My opinion is just based off of assumptions, because I don't really know what goes into infection of the band. But I always assumed there's just certain people whose body rejects artificial things.. Like some people's bodies reject silicone implants--and I assumed that meant they always will. Anyway, my point is, not knowing the truth in how that works, I would be leery to put another piece of silicon in, if your body rejected it the first go around. I thought it would be very, very rare for someone's body to reject it--but if it rejects it, it always would (kind of thing). I would definitely do some research on people whose bodies reject things (try looking at silicone implants for an idea, I'm sure there's more info on that than on people rejecting the band). What is your docs insight on it? I would probably look at something like the sleeve from here if I were you, but that's just my 2 cents!!
  17. That is horrible, her poor family.. Reitterates that when in doubt, see a doctor.

Is there such thing as an honorary shrinkin' violet? WHAT A FUNNY QUESTION!!!! We have lots..
  19. That's really bizarre that a tea they sell as 'maternity tea' would be harmful..
  20. My chronic reflux went away when I lost about 80lbs from the band.. then it came back at about 16 weeks pregnant, and week 19 was horrible, the kind that made me wake up burping and burning every 30 minutes in my sleep. It's calmed down a little bit, I wish I could take Prilosec during pregnancy, it's the only med that ever worked for me.
  21. I find out the gender Thursday, very excited.. and hoping to see 2 arms, 2 legs, etc.. and maybe just lots of padding on my end that is keeping me from feeling him/her! I actually haven't told my obgyn I got the fetal monitor, just because some websites I read it says certain doctors discourage the use of them at home.. and I don't want the doc saying 'don't use it' and my hubby will be there this visit and if he heard 'don't use it' then he'll tell me not to use it, etc.. so.. I have heard swishing, and when I listen to the heart, I can definitely tell it's on the move.. does not like my heart doppler wand.. I'll find the beat loud and steady, then some shuffling and it's gone.. then it's faint, then shuffling and it's loud again. Time is flying for other people pregnant, can't believe Wheet had her daughter already and you're only 10 weeks away!! I on the other hand, have FOREVER TO GO.

It was 26 degrees this morning, the news as I was waking up was saying we had the black ice & some roads were closed.. by time I got up, they stopped talking about it so I guess that was pretty early. If we get ice/snow.. the city shuts down. We normally don't get it, so we don't have the trucks or any way to treat it.. and we certainly don't know how to drive in it! Just watched OJ's sentencing. 21 years, with elegibility of parol after 6.5.. and his request to be on bond till his appeal was denied, so he is going to prison. Hooray for the justice system. I scheduled a pro carpet cleaner to come out tomorrow, going to have them clean the foyer area where my cat had peed up a storm and stained our carpet. I've cleaned it with so much stuff, the residue has hardened it.. very happy to finally be done with all that. Wanting so bad to go to Chili's for their tilapia, but Russell hates Chili's argh! We have such different tastes, I hate that..and if I go to lunch with someone else he gets all mopey. I try to introduce him to people to make his own friends, but he says he doesn't need friends.. We have a date tonight, not sure what we're doing.. no movies out we both want to see (I want to see the boy in the striped pj's!!) but nothing else caught my attention. Guess I'll get back to work..

Burger King Taste-Test to Burger Virgins

Wendy's has this new burger my husband likes, I make a face everytime he gets it.. "The Baconater" it's several meat patties & Cheese & lots of bacon. Enough to make the heart scream! I make better choices since banding, but I'm not a health nut.. so whatever, if people want to eat it.. But introducing ADMITTEDLY bad food to hungry villages is just pathetic. When has anyone said, thank goodness we came out with burgers, it's really been a blessing. It causes health problems and it lacks nutrition. Very immoral of the companies.
  25. Diva, the paranoia isn't going away for me!! That's what I bought the heart doppler.. once I was into 2nd trimester, still scared, now I'm 2 days past 20 weeks and I should be feeling it but don't, so now I worry that it doesn't have legs or something (I know, I'm weird). The heart doppler says it's fine, but I have so many 'what ifs' in my brain. I went to lunch with my friend who has a 7 month old yesterday and we were talking about the paranoia. She says even though now he's a happy healthy baby, she's worried he might get autism.
