Well that sounds like good news for Manda!! Glad it's all took a turn for the better Ok here's my belly pic for today. See, I don't look preg, it just looks like I re-inflated the fat rolls--I just can't suck it in anymore. And the 'ladies' have gotten quite a bit bigger.

Aww, I can't wait to see pics Wheet!!! I don't know what is up with the sling, but it's one item I just never even though to get. I don't think I'd use it, like you said Wheet-- I assume you'd always have one hand on there to 'hold it in place' or just to reassure me that it's not going to fall--and then what's the point. I plan to use bouncers/jumpers/soothing station stuff when I'm around the house cleaning or working. pumpkin seat in public. -
How you told your Husband/Mom you were pregnant!!
Daisalana replied to Crystalclear224's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
That's funny Heather! I think I told you, one of our family friends.. he has a 21 year old (just graduated college) and they also have a 5 year old. So they did like you, except the 21 is girl and 5 year old is boy. But the stories I hear from them are hilarious. Since the 21 year old grew up single child, she's not use to having a 'sibling' to battle with. She just moved back from college since she graduated (like literally 2 weeks ago moved back) and she will get upset if they buy her little brother something (like a DVD) and didn't get her something. Like I said, the stories I hear are hilarious. The 5 year old adores the 21 year old though, he looks at her with stars in his eyes. Anyway, I'll have to remember the ice cream & pickles. When we go for kid #2, I won't be such a basket case like I was when I found out for this one.. and can take the time to plan something cute! -
Well we only went to 1/2 of the birthing class. I got some info out of it, the best info I got was just how the hospital I plan to go to runs things (where to go, their routines, what to expect, what the rooms are like, when the baby is born they do x-y-z, etc. etc.).The technical stuff-like stages of labor, and all that medical stuff--I already knew from reading my books. Which is why I don't think I missed out much from not going to day 2. We are also going to parenting classes, every Thursday night.. I have actually really enjoyed this one, it has taught me stuff OPPOSED to what my mom has told me. It's saying the things that have changed-- like that you don't give babies water anymore--where my mom told me I had to get bottles because you feed babies water. And not to use Talc powder, and how baby bath tubs are a waste of money, just get a bath sponge they lay on that you can prop up to dry.. and so on. Lot of neat little tricks.. Plus it has taught Russell how to change a diaper (still remains to be seen if he'll actually utilize this!!), how to swaddle, how to dress them.. We got a CPR baby dummy last week that we were sent home with.. they taught us how to do CPR on an infant. We have 3 more weeks of this class. We laugh during this class, so we're both getting something out of it and it's not a 'gross' class LOL. I also have a breast feeding class next week, it's just 1 day and 2 hours long.

Tracy, I don't use myspace much, but I don't have a friend request from you?? I made the dill salmon recipe again last night, the pieces of salmon I got weren't the best :/ [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNgeWDir404]YouTube - TONYA HARDING SLAMS OBAMA'S "DOING A HARDING / KNEE CAPPING" GREAT VID AND SOUND[/ame] That is hilarious, our radio show was playing this video clip and talking about it this morning. She thinks Obama had to use her name to get publicity for himself. Yah right. What a dumb bunny. I love how he says "You're a piece of work". Ah hahaha. Baby shower is Saturday, I'm excited.. I bet this week drags on!! I go to the allergist tomorrow, now I'm suddenly very glad the doc finally recommended this. It's getting worse it seems, and I am so tired of not being able to breathe through my nose without it itching.

Michelle- I would suggest a housekeeper thing.. That's how people end up on the news with the most disgusting houses, taking the child from the home, etc. It spirals out of control before they realize it!! The girl I work with that this happened to last year, that's how she said it started.. she was depressed and it just piled up 'somehow'.. she's actually in jail right now, and they took her 2 sons. We are NOT going back to the childbirth class today. It's from 12:30-5.. with a 1 hour lunch break in there somewhere. Well yesterday she kept plugging along and said, how about we skip lunch and get out of here an hour early. Room full of pregnant women ready to pop, and she says this. People agree, because going home early sounds good--the chairs are the hard plastic chairs, my butt hurt SO BAD. After all that, not only did we NOT get out an hour early, she ran OVER 30m. By time we got out, I was nauseated from hunger and walking with a limp from the pain in my back. I'm not doing that again. Luckily the breathing/relaxation techniques were taught yesterday, and we got the overview of what is going to happen when we go (she is L&D nurse at the hospital we're using). I was surprised to find out, our hospital induces at 38 weeks at 90% of the time. I didn't realize they were that common?!?! She said it's for the doctor's convenience. Well ain't that special. So I may not get to see what labor coming on naturally is like. On the other hand I do like the idea of 2 weeks early (smaller head) and getting to meet him 2 weeks early!! My mom kept talking about how first time moms almost always are later than their due date, so I was kind of anticipating that.. apparently they don't let that happen at all, so no one ever goes past their due date. They played the birthing video, Russ turned pale and pulled his hat down (as not to watch). He was in good company, 2 other guys were pretty much grossed out by everything we were hearing and were vocal about it. What were you doing in San Diego Pam?? I told work I would create a new brochure for a service we're offering, I have yet to feel the creative juices hit me.. I got on this morning hoping to feel inspired.. still nothing How many years does it take to get to 40th anniversary Judy??? My parents just celebrated 32 last year.. they got married a month out of high school.

Congratulations :tt2: -
Just popping in.. we have childbirth class today & tomorrow from noon-6, so my day is pretty much full!! Kat, I watch Grey's Anatomy, I watched 40m of it last night--plan to finish it today before our class so I'll fill you in. Not sure what the Izzy question is, remember she did the test last week and it said she was anemic and other lady had cancer.. lady came in this week and said they swapped the bloodwork--she was anemic (which means Izzy has cancer).

Some reason slings don't appeal to me, so I have no input :sneaky: -
Oh, no.. no peeling off.. I know what you mean though, on solid ones I have to roll them off (ick). This one doesn't go to the 'under' part of the breast, so it doesn't get sticky and gross.. the ladies probably are (like I said, never thought to check), but the bra doesn't.. and with the eyelets, that bad boy pops right open when you open them.
-
I had my smartlipo today!!!
Daisalana replied to Jaymie72's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Woohoo! I do have a question, did you take B&A pics? SmartLipo is something I wanted to look into, but I don't like going by the ad pics for it, I want to see real pics.. -
Uhm.. not sure about sticky and gross.. I think all of me is sticky and gross after working out, never paid special attention to the ladies to check out their gross factor. But I also shower after working out???? The fabric of mine is double ply satin.. and it does have a million eyelets going up the front, so it is easy to take off.

Fake nails harbor a LOT of bacteria, so that's probably why they're not good for babies in NICU. If she touches them, she has a lot more bacteria than the average person would. Oh, and I also can NOT relate to her.

That was beautiful, I've never heard of (him?). I sent out my generic maternity leave e-mail to customers today to prepare them for April.. lot of warm wishes coming back, and ironically one of my customers is taking her maternity leave around then too. Heh! We have our annual sales meeting today, I'm nervous because they are changing how we get paid..

I am too tall for that (long torso), I was trying to stretch it to fit under my bra and then it doesn't hit my pants. I bought the Belly Band early on too and it was a flop.. I've tried to use it occasionally since, and it rolls up or rolls down. I don't have hips/butt.. I was all upper body/belly weight problem. The rubberband in the pants never work for me either, it doesn't keep my pants tight enough to stay up (they fall right off if I have them undone). I also have a hard time finding any maternity pants that are long enough, I've kind of stopped caring in the past month or so with as uncomfortable as clothes in general are. I prefer to wear my non-maternity pants very low, but by the end of a work day they cut into my hips and bother me.. but if I wear (even long size) maternity pants I am 'flooding'--which I normally HATE HATE.. now I just say oh well. I even bought some pants from Burlington Coat Factory yesterday, wearing a pair today.. definitely too short, but I don't care anymore. I'll be back in my good pants in less than 6 months! Oh & Heather, I did start a registry at Target & Babies-R-Us. Item for item, they are same price, but they both have some items that the other didn't. My favorite place to shop though has been http://www.babymallonline.com/ Ridiculously cheap stuff, shoes for $1, washcloths, onesies, etc.. great pricing. I have stocked up on all kinds of things that are cute and cheap.. and the quality is not lacking in them (I've already washed everything I bought from them). I will send you my last name Heather (via e-mail) so you can search for my registries and see what I put on them just for ideas. I didn't have to put any big items (besides a play gym, and high chair) because for Christmas my mom bought us the stroller/carseat/pumpkin seat set (Travel System), a soothing center--it's got noises like the bear thing, but it's the Sweetpeace newborn center and has a bunch of different noises, diaper bag, and some cute outfits. I bought myself a pack-n-go playard w/ bassinet, and a bassinet (only $40 at WalMart and it's going to get the job done!). The playard is pretty neat, I planned to use it at work for when I bring him in when I go back to work-- but I have been debating buying another to have at home. I am going to see if the soothing center is enough for him to sleep in, etc. otherwise I will be buying another. -
Well, Enell does give me the uniboob. That's what works for me and sports bras! I wouldn't wear it in public, I just use it for working out.

I used the Whey protein bullets, they are 42g of protein in 3oz. I shot 1/2 a day, 2x a day.. like alcohol shots, I shot 1.5oz--chased it with water. I didn't like shakes either.. The only other way I did extra protein was freezing expresso in ice cubes, then blending 2x expresso cubes with a little skim milk, splenda, and vanilla protein powder. Tasted like a vamped frozen frappucino. -
Console is approx. $250, and the WiiFit is approx. $90. Only one person can play at a time, so that divided by 2, unless you both want one at your own house, then that x2.

Yeah, my husband calls it my uniboob bra. Sports bras have the exact opposite of sex appeal :tt2:

That is hilarious!!! My husband and I enjoy the Onion, our Tivo downloads little mini-sodes of it.

Hah hah ok Pam, and I really am not looking to debate or anyone to disagree with each other. Just curious what someone who supports him thinks. If you think it's great--that's what I want to know. I don't care if you do, just an inquisitive mind. It's so much the talk around here, but it's 100% one sided.. needed more input. And, not posting in R&R because I DON'T want to hear flaming and fussing, just wanting to hear opinions.
