SO we won the meet & greet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited, Russ just kind of looked at me. He loves her too, but he's afraid of the stigma that only gay guys can like her. I told him I don't care if he gets over it or not, I am going to the meet & greet and he can hang out in the hotel. I AM SO EXCITED!!!

Russ & I are going to see Kathy Griffin Sat. night in Atlanta... I entered to win a meet & greet with her, got an e-mail yesterday that we are a finalist.. so I had to fill out paperwork. Fingers crossed, it said they announce the winners in 24-48 hours from yesterday. How cool would that be, she is heeeeelarious!

Whew weird day, me and mom went to get mani-pedi from my sister and her gf, they're in the Paul Mitchell Hair school, but they have to learn other beauty stuff.. so we went to be guinea pigs. They gave them crappy nail polish to work with, super old and dried out.. but they did a good job at softening my hands/feet and nice massages! Then we went to lunch with Russ & Carson.. then we took C to my mom's, and Russ and I passed out. I just woke up... about to try to go back to sleep. Sad to say another weekend where I was too tired to get anything done with my night off, so tomorrow morning will be another scramble. YAY MICHELLE IS BOOKED!!!! That trip will be here before we know it.. and then 2 days later I find out if it's Isabella or Igore!! (No, not really Igore.)

I have my first, funny things Carson says... well, besides every other thing is 'bubba'.. He learned to wave bye bye and says it sometimes, but one day he started saying "bye bye bee-goo", and the 'goo' part was all low toned.. it was so funny sounding, and we couldn't figure out what he was saying. Then one day daycare said "bye bye be good!" So mystery solved, he's trying to say bye bye be good... but it's bye bye bee goo. Now a joke amongst our family, when we don't wanna deal with something we say... bye bye bee goo!! lol

Jane, our state doesn't meet that minimum wage either. I think we just recently went up to 6.25/h. I heard on the news Huntsville is the 8th geekiest city in America. Although after reading about it in the Examiner, they populated the list based off of education in the census, so that's something to be PROUD of!! #3 was a city where EVERYONE in the city had a college degree! Wow, that's impressive.

Hoorah for Cali, although my problem is if FEDERAL deems it unconstitutional, how can it say it's unconstitutional for ONE state?! Federal should say it's unconstitutional for ALL states. My bro-in-law's baby girl was born on Tuesday.. I got a text this morning, my BFF from ABQ had her baby girl last night. I keep getting these texts of adorable newborn girls and it's giving me baby fever. Good thing I'm pregnant hah!

Just got back from doc, baby's heart rate is 168... (The theory states that if your baby's heart rate was 140 beats per minute and above, you would be having a girl. If the heart rate was under 140 beats per minute, then you would be having a boy.) Hehe. Find out the sex on 9/28, right after I get back from Cali!!

I took a pic when I got out of the shower & dried it, and then somehow managed to pass out.. Pam reminded me at 10:30 (Central) last night, so I texted it to you all then! They have decided hair dye is safe during pregnancy, but recommend you not do it in an enclosed area where you inhale all the fumes. Yesterday I was SO TIRED I didn't get anything done that I normally do when Carson is at my parent's. Now I'm playing catch up, have to run to the grocery store and get stuff for the cookout, come home and cook it, and clean all within 2 hours. Wish me luck!

I bought my tix a month ago and e-mailed it to you...do I need to resend? Judy, it sounds like you're still in a bad place with therapy, how long do they anticipate you needing to be on pain meds to be able to tolerate all the pain?

Feel better Judy!!! Pam, I have a friend at work (old HS friend), who actually gained a lot of weight since high school, she use to be skinny. So she's goin to the gym all the time tryin to lose this weight.. and she keeps on me, she knows I bitch about how I do not wanna gain too much with this baby, so she's like bugging me every day. Today she said she was goin at 11, and I keep a gym bag at work for if I ever decide to go, so I decided screw it, I'm goin. I don't do nearly as much as she does (she was RUNNING on the treadmill for like 20m).. I was tired watching her. I walked quickly with weights for 15m, did elliptical for 3m, and various weight equipment for small reps. Better than nothing. I do want to not gain lots of weight, I am already in maternity pants, I don't remember if I told ya'll, probably did. Didn't need maternity pants till 6m with Carson, and at around 8 weeks my pants just hurt so I needed that stretchy give. My stomach isn't poking out too much really, it's just that I can't suck in like I use to.

Yeah we taught him "WEEE" on our trip to TN last weekend, all the windy roads when we'd hit the turns we'd go WEEEE, and he'd start doing it. So the WEEE in his crib, I don't know what that is!! I caught a mouse!!! I had set 2 traps, one in my office and one in the secretary office (the nursery when C is here).. and I never check the one in the 2nd office.. went in to change into gym clothes (BTW I AM GOING TO THE GYM), and saw it wasn't set. I swear, I thought these had a snap trap inside that kills them then boxes them in so you don't have to see it.. So I pick it up and shake it, feels too light to have anything in it. I ponder, and call Russ in. He picks it up and goes, if I open it, he's gonna run at me.. I said nah uh, he's dead, it snaps them killed! He said it's doesn't. Ugh, that's why I picked these traps over the glue traps which make me sad. So he slowly opens it, and a tail flops out, moving slowly. He's in there dying, who knows how long he's been in there. I hate slow dying traps like that :scared2: He put it in the trash can in the break room. I moved my other trap to that room, I can't stomach having the snap traps in here that I can see.

The nursery sounds pretty, make sure you take before/during/after pics--and share!!

We did... we took a parenting class, a birthing class, and a breastfeeding class. The parenting class was good, esp. for Russ who has never been around a baby in his life (except little bros, but he doesn't remember that). Taught us both how to dress, bathe, diaper, things to not do, developmental info, when not to worry, how to cope with people trying to visit you when you first get home, etc. I thought that was a good class to have. The birthing class.. I have mixed emotions on it, I would not do it again, or recommend it... BUT if I had a 'normal' birth, maybe it would have been helpful??? They made us watch a real birth video, which freaked us the flip out. That was a bad thing to see whilst pregnant :bolt: Plus it was a completely natural birth, no pain meds, the woman was like in her living room or something.. it was BAD. They taught us the lamaze breathing, which I never used... and then taught the husbands how to rub you during labor, which we also never used. So those 2 things MIGHT have been helpful, had I ended up delivering him? Maybe? I think it would be just as helpful to just watch some videos online (not of people giving birth) but teaching the breathing/massages. Oh our birthing class also tours you through the L&D ward on the 2nd day, which you may care to do (we didn't go back for day 2).

You're silly! I like the name even better now! If we stick with the name, it's going to be Isabella now. We've gone back and forth between Isabelle and Isabella, and the -a sounds better with the rest of the name. Middle name Marie since it's my family's name (me, aunt, granny, her mom, etc. etc.)

The 'average' I believe for first time moms to feel the movements is 15w (early side) to 18w (late side).. And lucky me, I didn't feel him till week 23. After that it was unmistakable. I watched that show "I didn't know I was pregnant" and I still don't understand how.. When Carson would flip around in there, it was a tidal wave, you couldn't mistake it for GAS! Or when he'd push his leg out and hold it, it's clear something was in there stretching. Unless you just have the craziest gas in the world. It said if your placenta is on the front of the uterus it can make it harder to feel, so that's the only thing I can think of. Jane you were close, I am 11w today My ticker! At home it's all pink, wishful thinking :bolt:

Ohh Haydee I love that name!! It's one I liked, but it's his parent's best dog ever's name, so I couldn't re-use it lol!! Sophia Lara, so pretty... what's the middle name? And I would ignore the lady.. If your MIL likes her. We had our family cookout yesterday and the water in the pool is already gross. Normally by Mid-August the water is so warm it's like a bath and not refreshing. It's already there, we've been in 100's for weeks now. BLECH. We pulled the table & umbrella by the pool to give it shade.. helped a little in one small area.

Help! I don't know how to handle this, I don't DO drama!!!! So Leslie's old gf, the one who was around for years, I befriended her on FB like months ago.. she doesn't get in the net apparently so never accepted. They broke up and like lets say 3 weeks ago, she accepted the friendship. Doh. So Leslie actually wrote some crap on my FB about you befriended that skank blah blah... I deleted her post, no thank you on the drama. I later explained to Les that I befriended her a while back when they were still together, its not a big deal. I've been waiting a little bit to unfriend her where she won't notice so it won't be like a confrontation thing.. and this week she's been posting all over my stuff (to piss Les off I am sure of it), and it's working. So I don't know how to just.. unfriend her without her goin nuts (she's a bit crazy), but meanwhile it's getting Les worked up to see her posting on my FB. I told Les yesterday let it go, and I told her I just didn't know how to unfriend her yet, and her answer of course is "F-- HER!". Yeah but I don't do drama. Should I just unfriend her and act oblivious??

Aww Michelle! That's exciting!! Your lil' girl is now a WOMAN!!!!! I'll tell ya now, I need a bed! I don't fit on couches. Just had someone I don't talk to, knew them from church over a decade ago... but they're a friend on FB... pm me and ask if I have leftover pain meds, her husband is in pain blah blah. How random is that.. Just dropped Carson off at my parent's, back to cleaning, and then we're doing grocery shopping tonight.

Hah that's why we're not discussing anything or picking anything out. Mums the word until we find out if it's a girl or boy! We have a girl name picked out, but frankly if it is a girl we're going to have to go back and re-evaulate. I want to think about it, but not till I know!
