I don't think so, if the storms were bad I was oblivious. It was storming, oh and now that you mention it around 4am there was a loud thunder that woke me up.. but that was all (weird, I forgot about it till you said something!!). Due April 23 Jen, and no new pics :cursing: This ultrasound wasn't for me, they were checking size & location of my kidney so.. no fun looks.. she checked his head size (so we got to see his face) and his belly (and he had hiccups), but no full baby pictures and I didn't get to keep anything.

What are you tryin to say??? They sell space crap in the GS at the airport. So nyah nyah. Huntsville isn't redneck, it's space & engineering! (Re: Geeks) This is how I've been, I am finally getting the 'hot all the time' crap, I wake up throughout the night sweating and throwing all the blankets on the floor.. then going and putting water on my face and leaving it there. Sorry to hear that, what bad timing for all of that :tt2: Hope you enjoy the trip and get so wrapped up you don't have to worry about things at home!!

Pam that made me think of Bad Girls Club.. Do any of you watch it?? Judy? Seems up your alley since you watch I <3 NY and all that. Last nights finale, Amber showed a pic of her jack@$$ boyfriend, and he was SCARY ugly with his muscles and steroid looking self...

Morning V's! Well, afternoon I guess... Coworker who just had baby, emailed pics this morning. Oh my goodness, so sweet!! And Carson is already 1lb bigger than this boy!!! More crazy customers, doing a conference call after lunch today. My hip is feeling SO much better after the vacation, I don't know if it was the spa or the beds(they were so comfortable), or all the walking I did (hurt at the time, but it felt like it may be working kinks out). I still hurt, but it's completely bearable. I am going to try bowling tonight, if it hurts at all I'm going to stop. Need to round up all the V's.. Tracy W. and Haydee!!

Fun Poll: How do you like these baby names?
Daisalana replied to Anyalee's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I like Graham as a first name! Ohhh and Ezra. Graham Elliot or Graham Ezra.. hehe. Elijah is a nice name, but I associate it with a bad event. -
OMG I think I'm pregnant!!

Congratulations!! And wow, you don't look 40, you look 20! I was scared & panicked (was not ttc), and then 20 weeks when they did the ultrasound where he's fully formed and moving, kicking, sucking, etc. , and found out his sex, it really hit me. Then I did the nursery, started shopping and thinking about being a mom. Then I watched Marley & Me this weekend (I am 36w tomorrow) and I had a panic attack again after seeing how their lives fell apart from kids!!! And I've been stressing about the birthing part, but I try to stop thinking about it when it gets to me. I'm a big sissy. -

I went to doc yesterday, I've already started dilating, and he's 6lb6oz according to ultrasound. Doc kept saying he still feels bigger than that. He had hiccups during the ultrasound so he was bouncing, but they didn't let us look at him much (they were just checking his size and looking for my pelvic kidney). Someone from work, his wife was due same week as me and she had her son on Monday. So I'm jealous. Other than that, I"m good :tt1: -
I had Dr. Pepper for a little bit, I have gained SO MUCH weight since pregnancy :huh2: I stopped with the liquid calories unless it's a sweet tea which I only have a couple times a week. I am gaining almost 10lb a week the past 2 weeks, and I guarantee you I am not eating that much. I don't know what my deal is. I went from 212lb to 273lb, at almost 36 weeks.. (Sorry I don't know the kilo conversion). However, I can still fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes (pants) on my hips and most of my shirts would still fit if I didn't have the baby there.

Due April 23! I am working until he is born hopefully... Oh and I will have a phone tree established, I just haven't gotten around to it yet.. along with installing the car seat base, and packing a bag, and having a 'plan' lol.

Hey girls!! We got back last night, but I'm so swamped at work I finally was able to take a breath and pop in here. Went to the doctor this morning, did my first cervical exam (the start of weekly).. uhm.. not quite what I expected. I thought it would be like a pelvic exam, but I swear she stuck her whole hand up there?! I kept looking for the 'tool' she used, trying to figure out what just hurt like a sonofagun, but then realized no tool as around.. so really, I think her whole hand was up there! She said I've already started dialating, but no effacement and cervix is still pushed back. They did an ultrasound to find my pelvic kidney, it was pushed to the side, so if they have to do c-section, it shouldn't get in the way. Also, they checked his size since the doc thought he was big.. he's 6lb6oz right now, and that's the 57% percentile. She measured me again after the ultrasound (with tape measure and feeling around) and she goes "I just think he's bigger than that, very weird!". Weird indeed!! Carson had hiccups during the entire ultrasound, so we got to watch him bouncing from them. A guy we work with, his wife is due same week as me.. they induced her yesterday because of a sudden blood pressure problem or toxesis or.. I dunno, I keep hearing different stories!! He was born healthy last night 5lb15oz. Hope you all had fun while I was gone, I enjoyed the relaxing time away. I watched a lot of movies; Marley & Me--everyone kept saying it's a tear-jerker, but what I found more disturbing than a dog dying of natural causes at a ripe old age (which did not bother me..).. is that once they started having kids, their relationship was going to hell in a handbasket! He didn't want to come home at night, she was pissed at him all the time, etc. I was a little anxious about all that!!

Just wanted to share.. My once thick and gorgeous hair has been falling out since I was younger, so it's not band related.. But for years I've debated getting the expensive extensions, but I've seen 'bad' jobs, so I've been too afraid to pay for it and then not like it. So a co-worker was telling me she has a friend who bought the Jessica Simpson hair extensions and that they looked great.. they are priced well and clip in. I just got mine yesterday and I love em! I wore them to work today and everyone has complimented on em! They sell different styles (this is just where I got mine, I know other places sell em): hairdo? by Ken Paves Beauty products and beauty supplies at HSN.com

Hah hah, I know what that is.. no that's not what it was :tongue_smilie:

Oh and you have convinced me, when I get back in town I am buying the ingredients to make the chicken recipe!!

Wow Judy, I didn't know withholding from your partner could happen! That would make me nuts wanting to find out even more LOL. I am packing for the trip.. The excruciating back pain is definitely better, there's still a kink..best way to describe it, if you slept on your neck or whatever wrong and you get a crick that lasts for a day, and you can't turn that way, etc. I have that in my hips.. except it keeps me from being able to lift my legs.. if I try they instantly jerk back. So I walk straight legged, which makes me hobble of course, but today I feel the effects on my muscles. OOOF. Man I want Advil sooo bad. I feel like I have charlie horses from my thighs down to my ankles. Even if I touch my leg, it hurts.. they're bruised so bad. I sat on the bed and trying to turn to get up made my legs jerk down (like the crick). I took a pain pill about 30 minutes ago, it's taking the edge off the muscle cramping. I made lunch for Russ tomorrow for work (his low-carb routine.. low carb wrap sandwhich, pepperoni & cheese bites, and a sugar free jello). I also made him berries & cream for dessert tonight. I have a funny/gross/sad story to tell, those of you who have been pregnant can laugh at it.. those who aren't will probably just find it gross.. actually you may all find it gross, but there's no one IRL I can tell *Russ included* and I had to tell someone. Last night I was in bed, and we were doing some fun stuff.. anyway, he goes to get a snack, and I realize.. I peed myself!! Not just a little, oh no.. it's like a frickin river opened up. I didn't even FEEL it. I was worried my water broke honestly. I was googling how to tell if your water breaks. I concluded it was just pee. But it made a 15" diameter circle, I had to put towels down since I didn't want to explain why I needed to change the sheets.. so I got to do that today even though I just put these on 2 nights ago.. ahem. So between my pannus smacks and inexplicable bed wetting.. I'm just sexy as they come. :tongue_smilie: I may log in tomorrow morning before I go, but if I don't.. I'll miss my V's this weekend, hope you all have fun & get some relaxing in!
-
I'll have to try the recipe then NOT using canned artichokes. Heather, the pannus gets worse! Seriously, when I have to hobble to the bathroom at night (I sleep nekkie) it's going *SMACK* *SMACK* the whole way there & back. Just jiggling at the bottom. Hah hah. Yes, I can't wait to meet Carson and get back in the game. I keep thinking about my diet pills that gave me energy and kept me from being hungry.. I miss em. I miss being tight and not being able to eat much.. wah.

No, because some reason customers are irrational the past 2 weeks-ish. I don't know what is going on. They want an order--rushed--for free--and when it's rushed (say 3 day turn instead of normally 7) and we get all of it out except 1 job, which is turned in 4 days (still 3 days early) they expect us to pay $500 to overnight a $200 job. For being late. Even though we're not. Then they go on and on about how, even though we're 99% able to get rushes out in the timeline they need, and we don't charge for it.. this one time one piece of an order is 1 day latER (but not late!!!) they think we should pay all kinds of stuff. Meanwhile--while we are rushing these jobs-- our collections is trying to get payment from them for jobs 120 days ago, when they are on Net 30 terms!!!!!!!!!!! It's a famous trend right now. I think it's because everyone is trying to rush jobs through before we cut them off (with credit, which we have had to do a lot lately). I get to hear that end too.. "We're a good customer, how could you cut us off".. well, you have 100k on the books and no effort to pay and you're 90 days past your terms.. what do you think???
-
Another one of them days. I can't wait till the economy straightens up and people are more pleasant. They are so crappy to me, and I want to shoot back "You don't pay your bills, and when you don't pay, I don't get paid.. and I got a kid on the way, so how bout you worry about rushing your payment!!!" Heh!!!!! Can't wait for my lil' mini vacation tomorrow. Going to find out if the spa is able to do pregnancy massages and get me one! Russ is staying home and having his brother come visit. Eating my lunch, grilled chicken salad from Cracker Barrell. That chicken recipe ya'll are talking about, haven't cared to make it because I've had artichoke hearts out of a can and thought they were gross. Are these artichokes better in a recipe or something?

I saw this on the news when I was at the doc yesterday.. YouTube - Dancing Granny Hits Fox News Can't decide what's more funny.. the video, or the fact she made it on Fox News and when she sobers up she'll probably be so emberassed!!

Aren't you special Pam!!! It's 70's here, and my hair is having a crap day. It looked super cute last night, but it never holds up for the next day :sneaky: We met the pediatrician we're looking into last night. I thought he was really weird--had a weird creepy smile, talked really slow, and wasn't very social..I kept having to stir up the conversation to avoid the akward silences in the interview, but he comes recommended and I don't really care! He doesn't over-prescribe antibiotics and his take on immunizations sounds right. They have a 24-hour answering (it's him & his wife;both peds) service, and have unscheduled appointments reserved every morning in case your kid gets sick..they also have a well side & a sick side when you come in, so the 2 don't mix. My arms are super fat again.. I saw them in the mirror driving to work today and realized how big they've gotten..all cottage-cheesy looking. Yuck!! 2 months till fill.. counting down.

Thoughts are with you ((Suzie!!)) Woohoo Michelle, you deserve to toot your own horn. It only gets easier the more you tough it out! (supposedly) I was stupid to think this week would be any better with customers. Argh.

LOL! From what I hear, if they say it's a boy-it's a boy..if they say it's a girl--it could be a boy. My baby was active and proudly displaying his stuff on both ultrasounds. My insurance only pays for 2 ultrasounds, so I had to pay for the 28 week 4-d one;which of course is the only one where he didn't want to cooperate. They had me tilting, turning, jumbling my belly, turning me upside down, etc.. he would not get his head out of my uterus.. he was buried down in it (like a pillow). Oh well. But, today was an appt. for me and I am measuring 38cm and I am 34weeks (you're suppose to measure the week you're at +/- 2cm). So she is having me do an ultrasound (at insurance's pay!!) next week to check his size. Woohoo. I am very excited, he is so active and I'm so close to the finish line, I'll get to see him one more time. I pointed out today when she was talking about his height, my brother is nearly 7' and my dad is 6'5.. so the men in my family are BIG.. I'm even 6'0. Me & siblings were all born 21" which is bigger than the 'normal' baby height. So I think that's all it is, but I'm not going to say no to a free US!
