Have a kind of sucky/funny story. We got home from work, and a fed-ex box is ripped open in our flower bed--so someone was going to steal our fed-ex delivery...really sucks, I hate that the trash of our neighborhood (which is really nice) lives around us. They left the product though.. because it was nipple shields for nursing.. LOL. Now I'm going to have to send all packages to me at work, since apparently some asshole goes through people's packages :scared2: I would have been really pissed if they stole them too, I paid $20 to have these delivered overnight..

I think it's dangerous to take any translation of the Bible literal, knowing it was man (and man makes mistakes) who wrote & edited. I doubt this is news to anyone, but King James Version..came about during a time of artsy fartsiness, and he wanted the Bible to be more poetic, so he had it translated to 'flow' better. I use to have a text book that had some great examples of how it ended up 'twisting' the meaning of passages-- but it sounded prettier (Psalm 23 I think is one of them).

Anyone give examples of food to eat?
Daisalana replied to MrsFlipFlops's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
I'm not a good example, I've gained too much weight.. But here's what I 'started' to follow, a good guideline for pregnancy eating. I try to just make sure to eat more veggies instead of carbs when I do meals.. and if I do a salad, make sure to eat dark leaves instead of Iceburg.. simple changes like that. Luckily I have not had any Iron deficiencies.. And I take my prenatal Vitamin everyday (Prenate DHA is what my doc has me on). Creating a Pregnancy Diet: Healthy Eating During Pregnancy -
It's actually NOT a maternity dress LOL. I was just going through dresses in my closet to see what would fit me right now. It's a sundress I bought on sale over the winter, from www.torrid.com. It has spaghetti noodle ties so I wore a sweater top over it that I got from Cato. Beer & Ice Cream Diet :scared2:

Heh! Yeah my weekly appt's are pretty boring (and painful) as she digs to China. I am 37 weeks, I will be 39 weeks when she said I can go for the induction. I have been measuring big for a while, I was measuring several CM bigger than the week I was in, so they did the ultrasound 2 weeks ago to check.. he was 6lb6oz.. This week, doc said she thinks he's 7lb now.. and when she measured him at 36w he was 41CM. I just take into consideration I am 6'0, my brother is almost 7'0 and my dad is 6'5... we just tall folks. I thought it would balance out since DH is 5'11 and his mom is even 5'0, but I guess my genes are stronger. I like the idea of inducing a little early just because I know he's a big baby!! He runs from the heart monitor everytime now. I do it at home and keep the volume down so he doesn't run, but at the doc's office they have it loud and next to my belly so as soon as they find it, he moves.. we have to chase him around quite a bit. It actually use to be easier to find his heartbeat, since now he's reacting to it. It's between 140-160 everytime. Aside from the allergies (which are being well controlled now thanks to kicking cats out of the bedroom, using mattress & pillow protectors, and nose steroids), and the 2 months (1 early one, 1 last month) I spent feeling like my hips were broken.. I've had a pretty non-eventful pregnancy. I am greatful that the hip pain didn't stay with me until birth, I wasn't sure how I'd be on a table with my legs up trying to push a baby out when my hips had no support. On the home stretch, my only complaint is a common one--discomfort sleeping, and getting up throughout the night to pee. I make the mistake of trying to roll over quickly and it pulls the round ligament, so I get that muscle pain. It's a big routine trying to roll around in bed and get comfortable and line the pillows up just right--just to accidentally drop the remote on the floor! Repeat. I bought a Boppy belly wedge a month or so ago, I really love it. I use it to prop my belly occasionally (the times when it is pulling from laying down), but my favorite use for it, is to prop it under my back when laying down. or under my butt if I'm sitting in bed.. it lines me up, since I'm all out of whack (so I don't know if anyone else would feel this?). -
So happy for those of you having to sip sip sip on some coffee. Very jealous  I just checked my BCBS claims online (once in a blue moon I do out of boredom), and now I found out how I met my yearly deductible (my chiro said I did, and I thought it was an error). The allergist, isn't just a covered doctor?! How can that be?? And of course they are ridiculously expensive, more so than any other doc I've been to in the past year. $500 for them. I haven't paid it yet, but now I know I'll be getting a bill for $350 any day now.. sure could use the state refund that is coming in 'due course'.

I know ya'll are doin early appointments, but my appt. this week the gyno said I'm progressing well and if I want to, she will induce me 2 weeks from today. Woo. Still debating it, reading stories about it-- my mom was induced for my older brother and has this horror story, but what I read online, it's changed quite a bit. Still up in the air though. Would be awesome if he decides to come on his own before then!! -
Hah not really, I think the plan is I'll still be in Guntersville then??? I haven't actually looked at our itenerary since it doesn't matter to me. But there's always a plan B, and I'll tell Russ tonight that this may happen, I know he won't mind.

If you can't figure something out so you don't have to leave us so early, you can spend Sunday night at my house (we kept the guest bed setup in our computer room) and Russ can take you to the airport on Monday morning.

Didn't look that fuzzy to me, I saw you just fine!! Very cute :smile2:) They didn't really answer your question though.

How much weight lost before deciding to get preggers?
Daisalana replied to spudgirl's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
I'd wait as long as you can to goal, I lost 120lbs and was 30lb from goal, and now I've gained back 60lb!! I'd hate to have gained the 60lbs when I hadn't lost much yet.. -
Video isn't loading for me! Just sits on the 'loading' screen forever. Kat, thanks for the info!! That's what *I* tried to tell her, from what I read it's changed quite a bit, and I really think hers was given all at once from what she described and the stories I read-which they don't do anymore. But mom knows best, so she just rolls her eyes and says "I can't wait to tell you I told you so". Not very helpful. I'm going to be in pain either way, so I don't know why she's trying to make me worry about now she's going to be annoying in the delivery room as well. My dad made the comment last night that he thinks I should do it, for practical reasons.. can plan it, can make sure everyone is there that wants to be there, I can have my shower and eat, etc. etc (things I think are positive to this too).. and my mom asked him if he's ever been induced. Wish she'd just support me either way, and on top of that she goes around telling everyone her horror story and then says "And Laura thinks its a good idea, she'll have to learn the hard way!".

Oh kind of a crappy pic (cell phone), but I took pics of the belly this morning. Decided to wear a dress since I can't keep any pants up anymore.. Looks normal from the front.. then BAM, big belly on the side lol. Mom has been going on and on about induction and how painful it is and how she'd never wish it on anyone (she was induced with my brother 1 week late) but from what I gather they gave her all the pitocin at once and then she was in labor for 2 days.. from the stories I read online (trying to get an idea of what to expect if I do it), it's a gradual build up-which my doc did mention, and it seems quicker than when my mom did it. Since my doc said she'd break the water, she wouldn't let it last 2 days, she'd do a c-section before then. Anyway, mom is being a bit bitchy about it, she's like 'I'm just going to laugh when you're in pain and tell you how I told you so'... and I said, so when you were in labor, do you think it would have been helpful to have someone snarky there trying to tell you crap like "I told you so"???? Throughout this whole thing, anytime I hear something new from the doc, or learned something new in classes.. it became a big joke to her, because that's not how SHE did it, or SHE knows better, etc. etc. My best answer is, I'll find out for myself, but she likes to tell everyone how I'm naive and falling for all this crap.. I'm just telling her what I hear.. jeebus. This is the wonderful character flaw she inherited from my granny, and I'm sure I've got it too. Nothing can just be "good for you", it has to come with snarky comments and criticism.

LOL yeah I saw the piranhas and Meredith looked DRUNK. Kept hitting her co-host and trying to get him to repeat something he was doing off camera, then hitting on Seth Rogan. I had to give up and go to work, but I recorded it. I was wondering if the segment got cut, then they said they'd be doing something about memory loss in the 9'o'clock hour, so I thought it'd be 9:45 (and that I was wrong converting time). Oh well, I'll watch it when I get home anyway!! (That's what I was waiting for..I've been watching Today show since 7am)

As for AI, only 2 people stand out to me this far.. Lil Rounds & Adam Lambert.. everyone else (take into consideration I missed last week) SUCK. I can't stand the blonde, the timberlake looking kid did horrible this week.. and most of them keep picking songs I really don't like.. the first and last guy from this week were so bad I FFWD. Well, I FFWD through the blonde girl too.. she sounds so weird!

It's "Today" right??? I was looking for Today Show but that's not on my tivo, Today was.. world autism awareness day, fashion, recession proof toys, and stevie nicks? Comes on at 7am (yikes) glad I got Tivo!!

Barely!! Ok whoever watches American Idol..what did Adam Lambert sing last week? I am really fond of him, and I missed last week since they messed up the schedule.. watched this week and they said his last week was really good, so I wanna see it.. I looked on youtube, can't figure it out. Ring of Fire was the week before, and Play That Funky Music was this week..

The ultrasound last week said 6lb6oz, and today from her feeling all over me said she thinks he is 7lb now, and he measured 41cm (which is 4 weeks ahead again!!). I think the induction sounds better just because it sounds like I got a giant growing in there. I didn't gain any weight this week (thank goodness) but he did, so that means I lost weight.. right?!

Seriously, I wanna meet with you guys for lunch!!!! I just ordered Jason's deli... cup of broccoli & cheese soup, and half of a beefeater (roast beef au jus dip sammich). Yeah!! If he makes his way down and all that fun stuff, he could be born on April 16!!! MY BANDIVERSARY! How funny.

Hey V's.. I am 1.5cm dialated, but my cervix moved down some.. wee?? I asked her if I should be doing anything to help it out, she said.. have sex, and walk. She said if the baby is down in the pelvis, I am at least 5cm dialated and effaced by the 39th week she will induce (If I want her to). I probably will, despite my doubts of pitocin! She said she'd also break the water that day, so it would be all or nothing. She said I can go natural if I want, but they won't let me go past 41 weeks. I'd rather have him in 39th week, of course.. I wanna hold him!!! So I told her I'd think about it, but right now that's where I'm leaning--although my mom is against all that, so that'll be a fun argument if I decide to do it. My breakfast is a quaker minidelights. Our phones at work are broken right now, all the extensions are messed up..my phone keeps ringing once then stopping. Hope ya'll have a good April 1!

Sorry, I am not posting from personal experience.. but if it's in any way encouraging, I know I have followed a lot of stories on this forum of women who were diagnosed with PCOS, infertility, drug treatments, etc.. and after significant weight loss with the band they went off their meds for PCOS, and became fertile, etc. So hopefully you guys will be able to say the same thing a year from now )
