Why does this upset me
Daisalana replied to Cherry_Blue's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
Couple of things.. My belly didn't show till I was about 34 weeks pregnant! And in the past 2 weeks (I am now 38 weeks) I am unmistakably pregnant. But before 34 weeks it was questionable. I just looked like I was getting fat, the downside is obviously I just looked fat. BUT (this is a big but for me) people didn't try to touch my belly, which I considered a blessing. I really don't like people touching me, especially people I barely know. Now people at work think it's ok to touch me, but I have no problem backing up and pushing their hand away heh heh. Also, because I look SO pregnant now, everyone is always asking me how I am feeling, when I am due (same people, every day) and it is really annoying me, especially since I am anxious too!! I don't need a reminder everytime I walk down the hall that I am waiting minute to minute. The other thing.. 'cute maternity clothes' HAH.. hah. Click the blog in my link below, the latest post I made is how HORRIBLE maternity clothes are.. MAN I hate them. I can not wait to be back in normal clothes. Maternity clothes are not cute, they're a scam. -

Pam & crap & sucks isn't even the tip of the iceberg.. maybe one day she'll tell you what she did to poor Jane's phone!! And she got us kicked out of a couple bars!!! So proud of you Pam!!! I meant to say that egg game did sound cute Michelle (maybe I did say it), I have been reading & thinking of things to post but then I forget to post or get distracted. See I'm distracted again, I had things to say and they just kind of float away.....

Preggy progress/Updates/Tell us how you're doing!
Daisalana replied to eejaydiva's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
I believe so, I have not developed any stretch marks I haven't already had most of my life. I had a flabby deflated stomach when I got pregnant, and he's just filling it back up.. I also haven't had the skin pain or itching that the pregnancy books talk about.. and no desire to give myself lotion massages to ease anything, etc. -
Of course you can!! Yay Terry!

Funny you said that Heather, about a week ago I posted a rant about maternity clothes in my blog, sounds much like you're talking about heh heh. -
United States of Tara is over till 2010 (bah!!) Didn't have Easter candy at the cookout, but had a birthday cake for my sister's birthday.. I had 2 or so (ahem) pieces. Cake really is my nemesis!! It was sooo good, and mom told me to take some home, and I immediately said NO! My port has been drifting & hurting, I can feel it pull sometimes, like I cough in bed and it feels like something ripped so I have to put pressure to make the pain stop.. and then sometimes it burns. It's definitely moved.. Carson is pulling those muscles apart there, which makes me even more anxious for him to get out of there so hopefully he's not doing major damage that is going to require yet another surgery  We're suppose to get more tornadoes today, fun fun. The ones that hit in TN were about 2 miles down the road from my in-laws. They said the funnel formed over their farm and then touched down on the road where it destroyed all those houses. When I told mom my due date, she was saying April is a tornado month.. I guess I forgot.. it sure has been a tornado month!!

Happy Easter V's!!! I think Peeps are absolutely disgusting.. gooey nasty.. ick.. makes me ill thinking about eating them!! But if I had some of them mini-eggs.. mmmmmmmmmm. Going to my parents for cookout a little later, it's nice and 70's here. Hope you all have a great day, and yes Tracy those pics of Macy looked just like a mini-Tracy!!!

Michelle, I made the pepperoncini beef last night.. it is so delicious! Had a dream I was in a huge bathroom in wal-mart (miles long) with a zillion stalls and every one was full and I had to pee like you wouldn't believe.. so I'm pacing and there's so many people in lines.. I finally get in an open one and there's a parrot on the floor biting me so I have to wait for another one.. finally next in line and someone tries to cut in front of me and I get crazy cussing them out... then I go to pee and I wake up instantly about to pee myself LOL.

It's not a HUGE deal heather, but it is gross.. it grossed me out it was all in my pantry, I threw out a lot of food, even things he probably didn't touch just cause of the gross factor.. And what weird timing, never had mice before till I got pregnant.. HM.

Just poppin in to tell ya'll the funny... We are surrounded in tornadoes right now, so at work we're all lookin out the windows at the hail and listenin to the radio... And everyone is taking bets on me going into labor LOL. Because of the barometric change & it's a full moon. So they all keep going "Oh wow look at that!!" then they look back at me, like I'm gonna just spit out a baby suddenly. I'm crossing my fingers it'll send me into labor tonight when the tornadoes pass hehehe.

I think that may be an oversight and you should definitely follow up. It is my understanding this is a routine test for ALL pregnant women--nothing to do with weight or banding, etc. http://www.webmd.com/baby/guide/pregnancy-diabetes Week before they just sent me home with a bottle of the sugar stuff, then gave me instructions. When I came back the next week, they pricked my finger (nurse did), so my doc didn't even have anything to do with it. -
Waah. I told doc I am leaning toward giving him an extra week to come on his own (up to my due date instead of April 16). She checked me and said I'm not favorable for induction at this point anyway :glare: I am still dilating more and more, but not effacing at all and he hasn't dropped down (engaged). Not what I was hoping to hear, since I am waiting every minute for something to happen!! I go next week, and see if there's anymore progress, and we go from there.. if he's not born by the due date I think I am going to induce (2 days before due date actually). My mom was 42 weeks when they finally induced her with my brother, and she had made NO progress, it was a 48 hour labor with induction. She said she thinks 'back in the day' she would have been one of those women who just never gave birth, the baby dies and eventually rots & kills the momma.

Yeah the rolling over part only gets worse!! You'll have to let us know how the US goes :glare:) I just got back from doc, we were talking about inducing next week, I told her I want to hold out at least another week if he doesn't come on his own by then.. She checked me and said that's good because although I am dilating well, he isn't engaged and I'm not effacing much NOT what I want to hear. I keep hoping I go into labor any minute. Days sure do drag on. -
I agree, I am a Christian, but I also think it's better to believe in something, even if it's not what I believe in. I believe there is only one "true" God for me-- but I don't think that's true for everyone. I know it's outside the norm, but frankly I don't care. I think there's other life somewhere out there. The universe is too big for us to be alone on this planet. So with that in mind, they don't have our Bible & our Jesus, etc.. there has to be some sort of religion out there for them. I also can't say Buddha is wrong, just because it's not what I believe in.. I don't think it's anyone's place to judge someone's faith. I think that should be the ultimate sin, if I was editing the Bible I may throw that in there.. Swap some wording around and put "There's only one true judge." as the 11th commandment. Teehee. And yes, even Jesus had doubts.. depending on the translation while on the cross; "Why have you abandoned me, why have you deserted me, why have you forsaken me?"

Gosh I miss Prilosec Tracy did you eat anything relatively close to bed? Don't do that if so.. also, the acid vomits I've had before were from taking Advil before bed.. don't ever do that, gah it is miserable. I go to the doc in about an hour to check my progress. No baby news, BUT I have an ironic story :glare:) For special occasions in our family we go to the hibachi restaurant (Shogun), and for my high school graduation we went.. and I have pics, and in those pics my bro's g/f was ready to pop with my niece..she gave birth 2 weeks later. We went last night for my sister's birthday and I should be giving birth within 2 weeks.. so some sushi to welcome them into the world hehehe. I weigh myself before I go to the doc, so I know what to expect in her reactions.. it only took 8 months, but for the past 3 weeks I have not gained weight, and this week I actually lost 1lb!

Yeah I wouldn't recommend staying on any of them for a long period of time, like I said I did mine off & on. Anytime I stalled or needed the boost, I would take the yellow jackets. I have a big bottle left over, I just google them (and make sure to say with ephedra). Then, make sure you read the listing, some of them pop up as with ephedra, but if you read the listing it does not have ephedra. Again, it may be what you're use to, but the non-ephedra ones were like a placebo, they did absolutely nothing for my appetite or energy. But someone out there has to like them, otherwise they wouldn't be in the stores would they? :/

That's what I want to know!! It was 70's/80's this weekend, it was gorgeous out, Russ mowed the lawn and I daydreamed about fixing up my flower bed.. then yesterday it's 30's!! With chance of snow last night & tonight. I had to go back and pack a fuzzy blanket in with Carson's hospital bag lol. About to go sit-in on a conference call with a customer that we had to fire.. they were unreasonable and I handled it best I could to fire them, but that wasn't a good answer for them. Through other customers, I know they were bidding out the same project..and of course.. they couldn't get a better deal, so they've come back to us.. but we still don't want em! So I'm there while president reitterates that they're fired, since my word wasn't good enough. We're going to a hibachi style Japanese restaurant tonight for my sister's birthday.. YUM. Another place I never get to eat due to Russell's allergies. Going to get a crunchy shrimp roll.. can't wait, especially since I'm starvin' right now. I brought a flavored Cream of Wheat for b'fast.. yuck. I've tried 2 flavored ones now, they are nasty.. need to stick to what I like, unflavored w/sugar. Any of you see House last night?? I was shocked, but I found an article about it. Kutner is going into politics! http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/04/house-exclusive.html Tudors started back up too... aaaand Rescue Me starts tonight!! I like when good shows come back on..

Anyone Preggers over 40?
Daisalana replied to juliegeraci's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
I know of 2 experiences on each side of my family.. my g'mother had her youngest (my aunt) at 45; and she is mentally retarded. An aunt had her first (and only) at 44, perfectly healthy. ---- Echoing what Heather said, especially in the 40's their triple screen test would be helpful, although then you'd have to make a decision to continue or terminate the pregnancy (which is why I didn't do the test..). Just to throw it out there, ever thought about adoption? -
Oh that part. When we were originally looking into them (toward end of last year I think), we found a couple places that were slightly higher (I want to say Capital One was one).. but there was some live-feed charts that compared all the different CD's.. after maintenance fees (*at the time) ING was the best value. I know they are always changing, so who knows if that's true anymore.
-
Jane, we use ING for our CD's (and do it all online). Russell handles it, but what are you trying to do that you can't figure out? I'll ask him if he knows. I miss the weekend already!!! I did a lot of cleaning yesterday and packed the hospital bag. I dusted off my Ipod from a couple years ago (never used it). Going to try to figure out how to work it & load music when I get home tonight. Someone brought in sheet cake this morning.. I couldn't resist.. and the bread was stale..bleh. My mom & dad both call (so 2 calls a day at least) every day asking me if I'm going into labor yet. Really annoying the crap out of me. If I was, THEY WOULD KNOW!!!!!! My mom (without me saying it) finally acknowledged how annoying that is, so she said she told my dad to stop & said she would stop. Now if the girls at work would quit asking me how I am feeling every 5 minutes...

Suzie be careful with all your activities, don't wear yourself out with things like mowing the lawn (that's a mans job!!). I just made spaghetti squash the best I've ever made it, it was so good I wanted seconds (but didn't, packed it for lunch instead!). Altered a spaghetti casserole with a low-carb sauce, was also out of onions so left that out, but original recipe calls for onions. Got the squash in the oven with garlic salt and pepper till soft.. meanwhile brown ground beef w/minced garlic. Drain & mix in 1 can tomato sauce, oregeno, parsley, garlic salt, & basil. Simmer 30m. Get strands out of squash into a dish, press with paper towel to drain. Then mix the squash into the meat mixture. Layer 1/2 mixture on bottom of casserole dish, top with mozzerella & grated parmesian. Put rest of mixture and top with more mozzerella and grated parmesian. I also made low-carb garlic bread (thought I'd see how that works.. was good!!).. used one of his low-carb tortilla wraps, cut into 4.. put butter, garlic salt and parmesian on it. Cooked them both together in the oven 25m @ 350. It was AWESOME.

Well they are special nipple things, it's to help flat nipples so I can breast feed :scared2: They're silicone things. Not quite something I could find at the stores around here (not for lack of lookin!) or make myself. I thought that too--I was glad they opened it here.. but I looked for the tear strip in the yard, and couldn't find it..and they replaced the package in our flower bed, so I'm wondering if it was a neighbor (probably, bunch of crap heads around us) and they took it home, were like WTF and chunked it back in our yard. I thought about cracking our garage, but not sure how to tell fedex to leave stuff under that.. and Russ scouted around trying to figure out where he could put a camera (he's more bothered about this since he orders a lot of computer parts--people pay him to build computers, and at work he's in charge of building new systems). I just decided I'm sending 100% of packages to me at work, I normally send really personal things like this to our house, but not anymore.
