Time really does fly. Heather I meant to say WOW about your sister. I can't even imagine what a 2lb baby looks like.. Carson at 6lb something is sooo tiny, he's actually having to wear premie diapers & clothing. I agree with Judy, you guys look so pretty and I AM SO FREAKING JEALOUS that you guys can get together. I would be going to lunch with ya'll every week if we were remotely close Terry the eye surgery really looks awesome, I still am surprised-I didn't think you needed it, but I can now tell a difference!

I found 2 tricks that are working great--using the swaddle blanket. I wasn't swaddling him much because in the hospital the nurses swaddled him tightly and he wouldn't stop crying (they kept bringing him to my room at night saying they couldn't console him), so I thought he was one that didn't like to be swaddled. he does like swaddling but he wants 1 hand out. 2nd, he sleeps great in the car seat, so I was looking up to see if that's an option.. ends up I'm not alone, lot of people with babies that won't sleep flat use car seats, swings, bouncers, etc... so I am using the seat from the soothing center, big and round and so he is reclined instead of flat. The ped said that's ok, she use to prop her baby's bed up with phonebooks. So swaddled & in this seat=happy baby=happy mommy! He goes to sleep or sucks on his hand quietly till sleep everytime I put him back in there. Russ has been doing great, I guess it's true that women become moms at pregnancy, and men become dads at birth. He changes diapers, feeds, burps, etc.. and I don't even have to ask, he just jumped in there (I thought he'd be afraid at first). He lays in bed and holds him and talks to him..I'm very proud ) He has been going in to work everyday after my appointments or after the morning feeding. I had him go buy me an electric pump today (manual one doesn't cut it when you pump all day!!!), I'm going to just swap to pump & feed since he won't nurse anymore and I'm not comfortable just going to formula yet. LOL Jane.. you better be using that gift!!!!

I can't wait to get pics of Carson with all of his aunties!!!!!!!

Hope Macy feels better soon- Emetrol is amazing, I keep a bottle beside the toilet at all times! They took the miracle bed today :thumbup: At 7am the nurse picked it up, and Carson hasn't let me put him down since. We're trying to think of a way to similate the humming noise (it was really like a computer hum). Ill have to look into vibrators!! Hope you all have a good day!

Hey Vs thanks for all the kind words, today is a much better day. The nurse came by and ran labs this morning, Carson is gaining weight and his bili is back to 13.. so they are going to take the bed back tomorrow morning. So relieved... and then sad to see this miracle bed go. He scrunches up his face to cry when I lay him down from feeding, I strap him in and he's whining and I click on the light and he just goes limp. Even if he's not alseep he just looks around quietly. Haydee I thought I'd want my mom by my side for a few days, but I think the 3 days alone with him in the hospital got me comfortabe enough to be with him. Anytime I had questions or problems I just buzzed nurses. I had a lot of visitors in the hospital which kind of wore me out. I liked having the company, but I was so tired and I missed out on a lot of sleep I could have had. My mom comes by everyday so far, she brought me premie diapers yesterday since his newborn ones don't fit.. and this morning we had to be here for the nurse but I had a doc appt, so mom took me.. and we went to walmart and bought some more formula, then she stayed to feed him. Anyway just wanted to pop in and say thanks again and let you all know I'm feeling better and that Carson is getting better!! I am not responding to personals, but I am popping in and reading.. so I'm keeping up to speed!

I was in labor for 15 hours and stopped progressing for a couple hours at 6.5cm, and his heart rate started plummeting with each contraction..so they had to do c-section. I was upset at the time, but I'm over it now! It ends up the cord was wrapped around his neck and that's why I stopped progressing. Oww Pam, UTI's are no fun. Did they tell you to drink cranberry juice? Carson is a serious crier :smile: If we put him down to sleep he wails like crazy, so we're very sleep deprived. I have fallen asleep holding him, it's the only way I've had any rest, so as you can imagine it's very minimal.. 10 min here or there. Russ takes him too, but I can't sleep when he's crying. He had jaundice when he was born and he lost weight in the hospital, so had to go to ped today to follow up. His jaundice went from 11.5 to 18, and he's still losing weight. :w00t: Hard to handle this kind of stuff as a new mommy, I want him to be all happy.. They told me he's not getting enough milk so I'm supplementing with formula starting today.. I am pumping too and realized I'm not making a whole lot yet, but pumping is increasing it..so hopefully in a couple days we can go back. They sent a nurse to our house and set up a bili-bed for him to sleep on (blue light) and he straps in..she said he needs to live there, only come out for food & changing. Made me sad and then I thought, this is going to be miserable because if we put him down he never stops crying... She said some babies like it--sure enough, he hasn't cried once since laying in it. He's been in there since 2pm today. She said in 2 days he should be back to normal levels, and luckily jaundice isn't reoccuring once it's 'fixed'. This has helped me get some sleep, I slept most of this afternoon except when I got up to feed him. The nurse comes back out every morning to check his levels. I don't remember anyone telling me they had to do this, when the ped called and told me we had to do it, I got all weepy. I feel bad since they said part of the cause is he's not eating enough, I'm feeding every 2 hours..

When I went for an unfill last week, I noticed my doctor had new table ad things (provided by the makers), it looks like he must go with Realize band now.. but they had information on statistics, comparing Band vs. RnY. On most statistics, RnY cured things like Diabetes, and heartburn, statistically better than the band.. but the ONE thing the band, statistically cured more than RnY was sleep Apnea. I don't have sleep apnea, so no personal concerns with this, but I was curious why that would be. Anyone have any ideas on that? I wondered if it had to do with the placement of a band down there, which doesn't make a lot of sense to me, but it's all I could come up with.. You lose weight with RnY & the band, so I figure most statistics are in RnY's favor, because it's the rapid weightloss thus resulting in less diabetes, heart burn, blah blah.. but what makes the band better with sleep apnea?

Hah hah, I have been popping in to read every day, just don't have time to post. Yes, breastfeeding... sleep.. what's that??? Russ being great though and is really helping out where he can. We go to pediatrician tomorrow to check his jaundice & weight.. and his weewee looks infected from the circumcision (UGH). I hope it's normal inflammation.. my poor little guy.

Its been hard sleeping, I just take cat naps. They have Carson in the room with me during the day so I fed him and burped him and held em.. then ped came to check him out, and I ate b'fast.. now he's laying in his little bin just watching me. So cute ahhh I can't stand it hehe. I had to pass the time last night since I couldn't sleep well and I knew a feeding wascoming up or passing.. luckily they have wireless in the rooms!

So exciting, ah I love it!! I am up to nurse him in about 10m. I get to have my next fix of him. Will post details & pics when I get home from the hospital next week. Everything was SO worth it!!!

He is beautiful and perfect, I can't express how in love I am (most of you know). Will post details and pics in a few days, everyone left me, I just fed him and they took him back to the nursery..so I am getting some MUCH NEEDED z's before they bring him back in 3 hours for more feeding. Wanted to pop in and say thank you all for the violet vibes support.. I definitely needed it!!! And you won't believe this but I gotta be the only person in the world never to feel a contraction.. will tell ya'll all about it later. <3

Thank you for the warm thoughts guys!! We are about to head out and I'm suddenly terrified.. well, more so than I thought I would be!!!!! Keep me in your prayers & thoughts and I will have Russell call the 3 of you on the chain gang when we have news! Congrats again Pam!!!! Yeah that's pretty much what we look like LOL. We are going to do it, she said I'm 4cm dilated and where as last week she didn't think I was favorable for the induction tomorrow (which is what she wanted a couple weeks ago), apparently he's now effaced 60% and dropped down.. woo. So it's scheduled! Russ & I just got back from the Tea Party & Lunch.. we took pics of us at the Tea Party--where we got the final call from doc saying they were able to get us booked at the hospital. What a fun story to tell Carson someday.. found out we were gonna have him the next day while at a political rally! Ok so I'm suppose to be wrapping things up at work so we can go home and get the house in order... GTG I'll write more tonight.
