That sounds fun Terry, nice to have the kids grown and out of the house huh?? I probably will wake up, even when Russ does feeding/changing at night, I get up with one eye open to make sure everything is done to my satisfaction lol. But I hope I get some sleep, I really need it.. I feel like a zombie, and my c-section is actually hurting now.. I guess since I stopped pain meds!! It hurts inside, not outside though... it feels swollen, I have a doc appt. this coming week so I guess I'll ask if it's normal. I assume it is. We're refinancing the house since rates are down..will save us about $150 a month. Haydee, no shenanigans--I got 3 more weeks, not that I'm counting!! We are going to a fancy restaurant, my dad is treating... and I may take a sleeping pill to ensure I don't wake up panicky about Carson. He's been having belly pains lately, constipated or gassy from the formula.. I have been doing the calming & sleepy bath & calming & sleepylotion every other night.. hah.. he shrieks like we're skinning him alive, then afterward he is stoned looking, but doesn't go to sleep.. just stares at us. Probably traumatized from the bathing.

Early Pregnancy Symtoms
Daisalana replied to Crystalclear224's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
It wouldn't be unusual I would think for the breast veins to be more prominent since they are preparing for milk production.. I had tenderness, didn't notice if veins were more prominent though. Good luck, not long before you can find out for sure ) -
CO is not taking place of Bama.. Looks nice Terry, CO is on my list of places I'd like to visit.. but I want to go when there's snow and go skiing!! Saturday night my parents are going to take Carson for the night, so Russ and I are going to dinner and then I'm going to sleep from 10pm (or even earlier) till Mother's Day cookout on Sunday (around noon). I can't wait. Mom said first time my granny did that for her she woke my dad up in the middle of the night to go pick my brother up, she couldn't leave him all night. I plan on being dead to the world...

Here's pics from our road.. http://www.whnt.com/news/whnt-storm-photos-5609-013,0,3772199.photo http://www.whnt.com/news/whnt-storm-photos-5609-014,0,3837736.photo http://www.whnt.com/news/whnt-storm-photos-5609-029,0,4296494.photo I dunno, I've never been scared, I guess from growing up with it and no matter how close it gets it has never affected my house..knock on wood!! I was up feeding Carson and looking out the window and the wheat field behind us went absolutely flat for about 2 seconds and then it was done. Apparently a lot of houses lost windows and roofs were torn off, I didn't realize it was that bad when it happened.

Tornado came across the road by our house, knocking down billboards and power lines...so my power has been out since 9am.. aaaargh. I am at my parents house, their power isn't down.. but it's a pain in the butt packing evreything up to come here, and Carson doesn't like the bed here as much so I keep having to hold him while I work.

Is that an online class Pam? Haydee, about the flu.. the media is really hyping it, if you look at statistics, millions die every year from the 'normal' flu, and we are NO WHERE NEAR those numbers with this flu. It's not any worse. I think the media just found a way to get attention off the economy. That being said, if you're elderly, baby, or have immune deficiency problems (sickly in general) you have reason to worry-you have reason to worry with ANY flu. I am scared because it's here in our town; I got the flu shot to protect me & Carson, but it does not protect against this flu, which is why I worry. If I didn't have Carson, I wouldn't even be thinking about the flu.. and none of you guys should either, IF you get it-- you'll be fine, you'll just have the flu for a few days.

LOL Yes Michelle, my home is fine. In fact with all my spare time, I wrote a letter to the home owner's association about the few incidents we've been having and how disappointed I am blah blah..they said they have cops patrol the area and will have them increase it, a cop lives in the neighborhood, blah blah.. I honestly wonder if the flag being broken off our mailbox was the angry crazy lady from Craigslist with the coffee tables (I told ya'll about). Our flag is the only one broken off, and she's the only person I've pissed off (we're pretty reclusive). Watching tornadoes again today, it's been like this for days, the sirens are going off all the time so it's hard to tell when to be concerned. Luckily, nothing has come this way except bad storms...a river has formed behind our back fence between our fence and the crop field back there. Fed and changed Carson at 7 and he has been awake and looking around (happily) since (it's almost 9 now). Housecleaning company is coming by at 10:30 to give us a quote.. Hope ya'll have a good day, I'm down to 252lb.. 40lb to go to get back to pre-preg weight!!

Everyone who sees his pic then comes to visit, say he is much smaller than they thought. He's a lil' stinker!! He is just now filling out the premie diapers.. he has no butt, he gets that from me too!! He is about 8lb now and 20 inches.

Pregnant and Banded...come join me!
Daisalana replied to raynie's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
I did. I had to stop smoking when I found out I was pregnant, plus had a slight unfill. I gained 10lb in a week 2 times throughout the pregnancy and I don't think I had swelling/fluid retention till I went into the hospital to have him. I gained 72lbs (+3lb in the hospital) total by the end of it, and he will be 3 weeks Thursday and I have lost 33lbs so far. So don't worry too much, I was hungry allll the time too and it did go away as soon as he got here (whew). I gave up worrying about my weight, in hopes that when he got here I'd get back on the band wagon.. and I did. -
Haydee, meant to tell you.... In the hospital they had framed portraits of really nice newborn photos, so my parents said they wanted to do those fancy newborn pictures (think like Anne Geddes stuff). So, we have it scheduled for this Thursday, they said for newborns most pics are naked, but can bring fav. outfits.. last night I had my mom go thru my outfits since they are doing this for them (I'm sure I'll get copies, but I'm not payin for it and it was their idea). Anyway, I had him in the t-shirt that you got him earlier this week and my mom loved it, although he is in premie clothes and the set you got is 0-3 months; so they are HUGE on him right now.. Mom wants to do the pants & shirt, she likes it so much. I kept telling her it's way too big, the pants wouldn't even stay on him unless I Hold it. She doesn't care lol. So, his first fancy pics are gonna be in the elephant outfit you bought. They also do 6m and 12m photos in this package, I think at 6m I may have to put the fuzzy elephant coat I bought on him hehehe. He's so gonna be emberassed when he's older.

4 sticks of butter and a dash of flour?

My mom insists on her g'parent name being "Grambee".. so I resigned. She was looking for onesies that say like "I love granny", etc.. cause Grambee would not exist. So I did some art and made a onesie on Cafepress for her.. I also ordered a bib with the image on it.

Oh no Jane, hah they get paid well. The purse for Kentucky Derby this year was 2.1 million. I'm not sure how the breakdown goes, the owner pays a certain portion to the trainer and the jockey.. But he definitely made money on his 10k investment!! I was thinking of watching it with you last year Kat, and my mom was going "Is she answering, has it started?" Hehehe.. I figured you either didn't have your phone or you were busy so I didn't want to call. I'm so glad they did cut back though, I was going to be so upset if we missed it!

100's of thousands.. They are typically bred from previous winners, so they had huge stud fees. Last year's winner (and potential triple crown)-

Anyone Preggers over 40?
Daisalana replied to juliegeraci's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
That's why I opted out of all the tests, but also due to my age I figured I am not high risk for anything, and I don't want to run into the apparently common false-positives and worry and have to go out of town for further testing, etc.. and ultimately, I would not have aborted, so it didn't matter. I think if I was in any kind of 'risk' like older age, I would have considered it, but again ultimately I wouldn't abort, so not sure why I would care.. unless to prepare i guess. -
Kat do you not have texting? Ok so at 3 I go to my moms with Carson, we're placing bets on the derby online and watching the preshow, blah blah.. and about 10 minutes before the actual derby (we're so excited) our tornado sirens go off.. ARGH.. and all channels with the derby go to weather. So we're freaking out, trying to find someone not in the area that can watch.. I was texting you Kat to ask if you were watching and could give us an update.. Anyway, 1 minute before the derby they cut back to it (thank goodness, my mom was seriously about to cry). Couldn't believe the upset, and that he was bought for 9.5k.. wowser.. the jockey was so excited, it made me emotional.. I can't imagine the excitement he had to be feeling, he knew he wouldn't win and low and behold.. Anyway, funny me I always bet a little amount on the underdogs, I ended up winning $336 on a $4 bet for him to win.. woohoo. I did about $30 in bets total, so $306 profit! Unfortunately though, there's really no chance for a triple crown this year.. so.. no Belmont for me this year.

Woohoo Michelle, I want to go back to Disney, I haven't been since I was 13 and it's not that far away!! Yeah Carson is going to work with me, I have a secretary's office, going to set up a playpen/bassinet for a while.

My goal is 180 because I think I will be in a size 10 by then, and for my height that seems like a good size. My docs never picked a weight for me, so I came up with it on my own.
