EJM you probably just don't feel baby due to where placenta is. Cherry, use Zantac & Tums!! -
Any update Heather???? Here's Carson hard at work (I made a onesie with the company logo on it heheh)

Pam, instead of your bookmark go to the top of your browser and type in www.facebook.com Maybe your bookmark is expired and they changed the website you originally bookmarked. Carson has been in such a good mood this morning, makes me all happy. Got up at 7am smiling and giggling (this is unusual), and i played with him.. then he went to sleep and before we came into work he was up smiling and giggling at his flying bear thing on his soothing chair lol.
-
Oh yes I got lots of sleep, just got home from cook out. Russ is about to feed Carson, I just finished mixing all the bottles for the night and I'm going to fold and put away laundry.. and strap in for my long night. We originally had him sleeping in the sleep center chair in the bassinet, then I was afraid he'd get too spoiled with it and never sleep in his crib so we took it out. I think I'm putting it back tonight, maybe help with his spitting up and to get through the next week.

I NEED that trip too hah hah. I don't know about the V trip being there, but I definitely want to come out Pam sometime when you're going to some fabulous party where you can bring your not-so-fabulous Alabama friend. Seriously. Sometime next year, I wanna do it.. so let me know  I'm sure you'll get takers on other V's too. A BONUS V trip.

Terry, I know I'm the age of your kids so I feel silly even saying it, but if you ever want to talk I'm here. Oddly enough I know what you're going through (although I don't know why he's in the program; and it's not my kid), I was there visiting and talking to both siblings when they go into programs.. Leslie went into one just last year (and really, she's headed back soon at this rate.. seems every July she ends up back in there). I got great sleep, I'm wired for the day.. couldn't sleep in, doesn't work out that way anymore! Going to family cookout soon...

I will!! Having a late night snack before I go. I found this new stuff, best new thing since sliced bread! Dunno how long it's been around, I had never seen it before. I love love guacamole, but I can't justify buying it because as we all know, after you open it-it goes bad quick..and I'm the only one who eats it and I don't use much when I want it (I know you CAN eat it brown, but I won't). Wholly Guacamole! 100 calorie snack packs, come in a pack of 6.. sweeeet. Tastes like fresh guacamole, just enough for whatever I want it on (chips, or mexican dinner, etc.).

Oh Suzie I really like both those colors!! My school was boring, we were the patriots (same mascot as the NFL one). Red White & Blue. ZZZ. I was in the marching band too, so all our jersey stuff was so ugly. I'd have loved some purple and gold uniforms. Watching this show, intervention but an indepth look at it. Some sets of kids who got into oxycotin, and then heroin..and 2 things made my jaw drop. I thought they're all older, looking back. This one guy has been an addict since 13, and he still is, has been to rehab over 33 times.. I figured he's about 30... he said "I could die.. I'm too young to die.. I'm only 16" holy cow. And oxycotin is $80 a pill on the street. WTF!!!!

He had 2 poo's this evening, so whew.. thanks for the tips though, definitely needed something to do like today with doc closed I had only read to do water. The colic websites all say pretty much the same thing, unfortunately Carson is stubborn- hates being swaddled, doesn't like pacifier, and we tried putting him in the swing yesterday and he just cried till we took him out. "Shhh"ing is our best thing since we brought him home, but now 'Shh"ing seems to signal to him that we're not gonna do anything, so it makes him cry louder. Oy. I just took him to my mom's. They're going to watch him tonight.. they've watched him every Sat. night since he was 2 weeks old. One thing I did read on that website Judy that gave me hope.. it said normally 3w-3m. He's 6w and it started a week ago, so I got 2 weeks without it (heh!) and as frustrating and tiring as it is.. knowing it should be gone by a month and a half from now does actually make me feel better. I know everyone says they grow up too quick, but I really want to FFWD to 6 months.. I want to be able to make him smile, hear him coo, not have feeding problems, etc. Also read something about breastfeeding last night that may have been a problem of mine. The doc on call gave me rx for birth control that you can take while BF. It doesn't have one of the hormones. She said I could start taking it right away; a week later at my follow up MY doc said "You can take it now". Didn't think anything of it, but read last night that taking any BC pill-even that one- can prevent the milk from coming in full, so it says to wait at least one week. SIGH. I just hope on the next baby we can figure it out, I hate this formula crap.

Well the ultrasound weight measurement is generally way off. Coworkers wife they said he was like 5lb and he was 8..and they said Carson was nearly 9lb and he was 7.5lb. I did get the shirt suzie, remind me.. what is the significance of the school? Pretty colors though!! Carson has been up and crying all morning.. Russ just left to get me waffle house. Carson hasn't pooped since we were at work yesterday, so I have him 2oz of water. Still nothin yet. I am so tired.
-
So jealous, great pics!!!! Carson is fussy, I read online it takes a week to know if formula change was a good thing. BLAH. He has stopped eating so much, he was eating 4oz by 2 weeks old, doc said he won't overeat, so let him eat. Now he eats 2oz at a time.. losingjusme said her 4 month old just started eating 4oz!!!! Carson was eating 6oz before I swapped formulas.. Sheesh.. my lil piggy.

I agree, I didn't like it persay, but I thought his rendition of Ring of Fire was HIGHLY creative and I really liked it. It made me like him; and wish he'd sing a song I liked (he never did, so I didn't care about who won Idol). Just found out some good news, Insurance actually covers the formula we have to use now. I saw a forum mention it's covered by some insurances, so I called. It's covered 80% if doctor writes an Rx (he will). How friggin awesome is that. Went from double the cost of what we were using to.. like nothin. Heh.

Attached is a cell phone pic of him today in the outfit Haydee got him (it is so cute!!). Too bad the quality is low on the phone or you could see the elephants. Someone at work, her daughter's son stopped breathing last night (he was born premature) for the SECOND time, so ambulance came out, did CPR and he is in the hospital right now. I couldn't imagine, I would never sleep. She said he was laying next to her while she was watching tv.. but if he was in his crib or something, he'd be dead.

I made it through the night! Seems to become a pattern around 4am he won't let me put him back down so he falls asleep on my chest and I get to sleep. I think it's just going to be a couple rough days (hoping anyway). At the feeding an hour ago, he ate the whole bottle (slowly) but without any fights, spitting up, crying, etc. So I think he's coming around. This morning he sounded like my cats heaving though which worried me.. he had 3 dry heaves from deep down and then spit up (this was like an hour after eating). But he's been fine ever since. Did you guys see the Clay Aiken, Adam Lambert thing? Oh man it cracks me up. Clay Aiken blogged (about Adam's performance of Ring of Fire): Aiken wrote, "I thought my ears would bleed. Contrived, awful and slightly frightening. I wasn't really a fan and found myself surprised whenever folks told me they liked him." Aiken quickly removed the post and later apologized. This was Adam's response: "I don't know Clay," he told Access Hollywood. "I'm glad he's getting headlines now because he wasn't before. If he wants to ride my coattails about it, good for him." Hah hah. Oh and I keep meaning to say then forgetting, YOU GIRLS HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!! I am jealous, if Carson wasn't here I'd totally be there

I've probably had tons of spit, I don't want money back...give me my food right!! Plus I feel stupid when they offer money back, like they will think I complained just to get my money back (when I worked at Cracker Barrel, we had to assess every complaint to see if they were just tryin to get money.) So swapping formulas has officially crossed us over into colic. He cries alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll the time. When Russ got home from work he took him while I slept-he was crying everytime I woke up. I'm on duty now, I let him fall asleep on my chest and just bundled him up.. will give me a few minutes. Doctor said don't feed him old formula, when he's hungry enough he'll eat the new stuff. He's right.. but Carson isn't giving up without a fight. He spits it up, cries, spits it up, cries.. and eventually will eat an ounce or two. He was up to about 6oz of the other stuff. This new stuff is expensive too, double cost of other stuff. Hopefully he likes it in a day or two. Mom keeps saying call her if I need her to come over and help, but unfortunately I don't ask for help well. I keep telling her I will, but I don't.. even when I could use the help  I wish I could just say yeah come over in the middle of the night and give me a break! I was crying with him last night. Can't wait till this is all in the past.

I meant to say Haydee, you're in good company. I've thrown Russell's food away before when he was making me feel underappreciated. I don't remember what happened at the time, but 4 or 5 Christmases ago I got him a portable DVD player. Still wrapped and all I chucked it against the wall and broke it. Told him I wasn't going to get him a Christmas gift. (I let him see what he missed out on by pissing me off lol). A couple weeks ago we went to Sonic-they ALWAYS 100% of the time get our order wrong. I was in a bad mood and Russ hates when I make him make them fix my order. So I said, they messed it up and it's not gonna be good, and had him call them out to fix it (they made my burger plain). He gets real pissy having to do that stuff, so when we left I told him don't get mad at ME *I* didn't mess the order up..and he said something about how I'm always such a bitch when we have to go thru drive-thrus. I got so mad, I wanted to throw the whole order out the window. I was just so livid he would call me a bitch because I want my food right! HRMPH. I didn't want to litter, so when we got home and he went to the bathroom, I opened his order up and messed it up and smashed his chili fries, made it seem like they did it. Sometimes ya just gotta vent hehehe.. men are stupid.

Noon flight all the way.

I stayed home today.. Had a big LOL about how much space Lycra takes up hahah.
-
He doesn't like the new formula.. it's 4am and he won't stop crying and spitting it out (been goin on since 2am)...resorted back to old formula, now he won't eat that either. I'm goin crazy :crying:

Nick Nolte!! Was tryin to think of his name, and I got lazy. He's always in & out. Our parenting class said there's been babies that died from the concentrate (parents didn't know to mix it with water) and it shut down their kidneys.. and babies die of malnutrition from parents mixing water in the ready to feed (from not realizing you're not suppose to). Carson's gotta get a job and pay for his own auto-insurance. We'll get him a car, but he's responsible for the insurance!

Yeah mine was only 2 weeks before I was induced. They do it close to time, because it can 'come and go'. So they don't care if you have it early on, it could be gone by time you're about to go into labor. Not sure why your friend's doc did it at 17 weeks.. like the brochure had said, it comes and goes, so she should have to do it again closer to time and that's kind of a waste of a test. -

LOL Michelle, I was thinking the same thing.. I was going to play the guessing game based on the news I've heard lately, Lindsay Lohan came to mind.. I know Amy Winehouse just went back.. hm.. you could e-mail us Terry, ya know I send ya'll music releases that aren't suppose to be released to the public  I am thinking of swapping to soy, waiting till my doc appt. on June 16 to find out their thoughts on the cereal and soy (it's a husband/wife team, both peds and both see him). The bad part is, and I'll just have to suck it up.. I bought a $200 several cases of the ready to feed, we're almost through that and I just ordered $200 cases of the powdered..was going to swap, figured he'd be ok for powdered by now.. I think I'm wrong, and if we swap to soy that's a crap load of powder that may be wasted.. like I said, may just have to suck it up. Feeding babies is SO EXPENSIVE. I wish the breastfeeding worked out, I think he'd not be having these problems. Russ' parents came down this past weekend to see him (first time they've seen him since he was born).. and his mom brought his baby book! Russ always lied to me and said his mom has no pics of him as a baby.. she sure did, and a baby book  I learned some interesting things. Russ has BIG brown puppy dog eyes.. Carson has my small eyes and they are blue.. well Russ' newborn pic looks just like Carson, small eyes and they were blue. Also in his baby book it says he was allergic to normal formula and had to swap to soy-- I asked his mom how she knew, she said he broke out in a bad rash all over his face. Carson has this too, but I *think* it's baby acne. Google image search of baby acne looks like what he has, but again I'll let the docs confirm. Maybe he is just allergic to the milk products.

Don't worry Cherry! Technology is so good these days; that's why they test. I was tested, but before results came in my doc said it's no big deal (and gave me a flyer, maybe you got it too?) it says if you do test positive they give you the IV when you're in labor and it's like HIGHLY effective.. somewhere in 90% I believe. So that's why they test, so baby won't have to worry about it, so you don't need to worry either
