I've had the normal rolled up things with rice & seaweed. I chew it longer than I use to, but so far no problems.

I see a resume for Shawanda Washington in the background! :bounce: You can definitely tell

That's another story.. I do have to agree with that

For lack of wanting to start a new thread. I ordered 'sample sizes' of different stuff, and for 9 dollars worth of samples, it was $9 of shipping-that I wasn't told till AFTER payment. Anyway, strike 1. I just received them.. They're all in zip-lock bags with a little piece of tape labeling them. I've never had samples come like this, and I'm leary to even try them now. ?!

You asked for punk men's shirts that are buttoned up.. I delivered. Think about it, if you're buying anything from any of these stores, do you really believe it is... 'unique' ?
-
That's what I have been taking since surgery. Some people don't think it's good the 'good protein', so I'm trying to find something better..
-
Ok, I swear I never click on ads LOL. But the one up top of the forum caught my eye, the gelceuticals=liquid nutrition. I've been in a nutritional food kick for a week now.. trying to get samples of things to try. Anyway, so I go there.. it's some advertising for those gel nutrient things.. can't buy there tho. So, I go to google.. searched specifically for the protein one (20g of whey isolate protein!).. And all it pops up are advertising to be a seller of agel. So.. I go to 'agel'.. and it pulls up 'agel scam'.. you pay them, and you can sell agel, etc. But can't find anywhere to actually BUY this stuff..and of course, when I hear scam, I become leery. Anyone know 1. if this stuff is any good 2. if you can actually buy it anywhere.

Terri- Wow that is expensive.. We can keep you accountable!!! For starts, get a piece of paper and a big marker and write 'HOW BAD DO YOU WANT IT?!' Tape one to your mirror in the bathroom so you'll remember when you get up in the morning.. and one on your refrigerator.. and one on your pantry if you have one -

Michelle- Because I'm anxious about getting help! I have a problem with doctors, as you guys can see I always think they're judging me, and lord know psych's DO judge you. I don't like that. And when I was going through my crippling/suicidal back pains, no doctors would give me pain meds.. so I must look like a junkie or something, so I always think they think I'm trying to get high. It's a vicious circle for me. Anyway, Terri I always wanted to say I'm proud and in awe of you for stopping smoking too! I have begun to smoke MORE since banding, and I know I couldn't handle both right now. You go lady!! And Tracy- WOWEEE! You look great!!!! You look so happy too And lastly.. Kat.. And you're happy a year later! So that proves my point.. in a year, we'll be right there with you -
I know what you're talking about, and yes I think about it sometimes. I have a friend who wanted to get the laser eye surgery.. but he was afraid of what the long-term would be.. for example, are people who have it more likely to get eye cancer 40 years from now, etc? And I think about that with the band.. in 30 years, will they find that the lap-band increases your risk of esophogeal cancer, or..whatever really, that's just an example I came up with off the top of my head. But, I'm also young and impulsive, and I only care about 'right now'. Right now, I can finally walk again without feeling like a cripple! Right now, I'm going down in sizes, and am no longer having the panic-attack from knowing I am outgrowing size 28 which is the highest size all the clothing stores I shop at go to. Time will tell, if there's any additional 'long term' effects, I guess I just don't want to think too hard about it

Good for you Terri!!!!!!!! It's good to say it out loud sometimes, isn't it? I fell off the wagon quite a bit.. everytime a fill didn't restrict me enough, I'd get frustrated, and blah blah. I just keep going! That psychiatrist appt I made, where the doctor couldn't see me until the end of Oct? They called yesterday and said he's not going to be in the office, have to push the appt. FARTHER away. So I didn't call them back, I'm not going there. They're way too busy to handle me if I need help! So back to the drawing board. I keep feeling wishy-washy. Now that I have good restriction, do I really need to see someone? I needed to see someone about my anxiety too, but now I don't want to go just for that. Curves Chocolate Peanut Granola Bars.. Yum! 100 calories, 5g of fiber (which I desperately need), and is very indulgent. Suprisingly when eating it, you think you're biting into a granola piece, and it turns out to be a peanut. It's a little different than normal granola bars in that way. I really like it though. It's my on-the-go b'fast, with coffee, vitamins, and protein shot. It's also my after-dinner snack if I need one. Everyone keep motivated! A year from now, we'll be so happy -

Before I go to bed, just wanted to whine some more. From sitting at my desk, the weight of my boobs leaning forward and incision between them.. I started to ache a little.. and if I turn/bend it's a horrible burning pain.. feels like my muscles are ripping apart.. so I've been trying hard not to bend or turn!! I am SO IN THE MOOD tonight. It's been like a week or so :peep: I had sex not long after being banded, but the inside hurts much more with this one. I'm not use to having to hold out.. pfff. So, that's my whine. I want it tonight and can't have it! THANKS FOR THE BANANAS!!!!!!!!!!! I finally earned me booby bananas. I feel all warm and tingly now Today's calories: 1,100 (and that's with a Curves granola bar as an indulgent snack) YAYAYA. -
Me neither :peep: That's why I was curious, it said one bag is 20g of protein. I'm always up for trying something like that.. if it's something I can 'take' really quick, it makes me happy.. and Wasa always knocks the stuff I currently use, and this stuff said it's the 'good protein' :Banane20: Anyway, I'm really turned off by everything I've found on the net about the company.. So I won't be trying these unless they pop up in my grocery store.
-
Well I'm trying to find good protein sources for mornings. I bought samples of some protein shake mixes (dreaded things), and I'm going to try them.. but I'm always looking for things 'on the go' with lots of protein.

Think I Really Messed Up!!!!
Daisalana replied to PrettyBrownEyez's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Right.. strained clam chowder is liquid. But it's not a clear liquid. Depends on what your doctor told you you cold have. -
I had to take magnesium citrate before my banding.. it was a 6 or 8oz bottle.. and it really wasn't horrible.. the red flavor. Tasted like sour cherry sprite or something. And my husband had to take some via doctor's orders last week, and he actually chugged it all at once! What is the 'gallon' of nasty stuff?? And why wouldn't you use magnesium citrate?? Don't they do the same thing? Of course-- I'd still ask about pills.

Their mens size chart says they go to 4x. But, you might want to check measurements. Their sizes run big for plus.. in the women's I actually wear 1 size smaller than I do at most stores.
-
Hot Topic I know they have women's plus punk.. worth checking to see if they have mens

Just so it may ease your mind.. 3 months post-op I got food poisoning or the flu on my honeymoon, and I was vomiting very very badly for a full 24 hours. Dry heaves, sobbing between throwing up, the whole 9 yards! I was so scared I messed my band up, so my next fill a month later they x-rayed.. and he said it was in perfect position.
-
Taking Pepto-Bismol for my acid reflux (pre-band) caused me to vomit black stuff.. Then I googled it and read pepto can do that... Just some interesting information

I have heard Crystal Light 'counts' as your daily intake of Water. What about sugar-free koolaid? What about coffee? What about tea? If not, why not? Thanks!
-
Well, I thought coffee and tea may not be considered, due to caffein, just wanted to know if that was right. But SF kool-aid is essentially Crystal Light in my opinion.. Depending on the time of day, I hate the taste of my water.. so I've been drinking tea & SF kool-aid during those times.. Just wondered if I can mark it was water-in on my myplate!
