I know some people in my month's group that is doing charm bracelets. Every X amount of pounds they buy a new charm for it. I was going to do this, but I really don't wear jewelry. I collect it, and like to look at it, so the charm bracelet would be fairly rewarding to see me pile on charms.. but I wanted something more practical. My reward seems to be new styles. As I go into lower sizes, I am getting new styles, complete with new shoes, undies & purses! I even went make up shopping (egads.. I don't ever wear make up). I actually have matching panties & bras, shoes & purses that match, and it gives me a confidence boost throughout the day and reminds me where I'm going and not to shove the brownie in my pie hole. If you're low on funds (I am recently due to unexpected bills all over the place), I do a lot of discount shopping. I go to the websites of my favorite places and check out the clearance/sales area only. I find great deals, then go to google and find a discount code for their website. A lot of stuff is a steal.

Shrinking Violets -- April 07 Bandsters

I most definitely notice my restriction slowly going away. It makes me panic that I stretched or slipped, etc. I'm trying not to be a worry wart. I've lost a lot of weight since my fill, so I'll assume that's it. I was able to eat 1/2 of a piece of french toast.. and later, 1/2 of a biscuit with ham (bottom bun, no top). I have not been able to eat ANY bread for like a month.. one teeny bite would kill me.. and now I can eat this much, scares me. I did spit up some of the biscuit with ham, but I ate one bite more than I should have.. I felt the stuffed feeling, but it was so nummy. -

Oh yeah Tracy, honestly... I read it somewhere on the forums, and I try it, and it works.. I eat more calories than normal 2 days a week, to keep my body guessing. I average 800-1,200.. and 2 days a week I eat around 1,800 (normally an 'indulge' day and that's how I get it so high). It's working for me, if my weight loss is any indication. I'm trying to avoid plateaus. The news said my city "close 2nd" for top tornado-prone cities. 2nd to Oklahoma City. I'm really surprised, we've been in a drought and when I use to live here, we had tornadoes all the time (love it).. since we moved back here, I missed the storms.. and low and behold NO MORE STORMS. Anyway, so when I heard that this morning, I was definitely surprised.. must not be any tornadoes anywhere lately. I was looking online to see where this study is, and I found old ones, where our city was actually #1 for a while. So where are they?! I just cleaned my office, and first time in a long time- took one of my speedy diet pills. The ephedrine is good for opening up bronchial passages, so I hoped it'd help me breathe better. My office looks great now, it's been so cluttered with crap. Still cluttered with crap, but now it's off to the side hehe. Wish we could all go for lunch, would be nice -

Wow his spelling does suck! I think we all have one of those kinda guys.. me and my co-worker were talking about this last year. We're both happily married, but we both have a first love, that still contacts us about once a year via e-mail or calls us.. And they still give us butterflies. Even though we'd never ever be with them again, and we're happy.. something about that first.. and the fact they always make a point to contact you once a year to remind you. Men. -
Yeah, I don't think anything should be released till all states are in either, I think it sways people 'Well so and so isn't doing so well, I may as well vote for so and so'. But it's one state! Politics confuse me on a daily basis.

Just thinking about finances.. We're saving up to get Chantix right now, and it's about $200 per person per month, at 6 months.. and then our vacuum cleaner broke, and we were talking about getting the Dyson Animal (awesomeness) but it's $600.. and that was going to be x-mas, but then we got glasses, then the vacuum broke.. blah blah blah. I'll have to see what finances are looking like -
I am always curious why it matters what one state says? Everyone acts like it's a big deal, but.. it's one state.. So I is confused.

I'm getting cold feet. -
Prenatals are good for bandsters anyway, I forget what now, but there was something in them (maybe the folic acid??) that my doc recommended I do prenatals. I got some chewable ones that were so horrid, I went back to Flinstones. If you can swallow them, kudos! My doc said 18 months for RNY patients to get pregnant, he said many get pregnant in the first year because they didn't think they were fertile, but lose weight, get pregnant.. and he said many of them resulted in miscarriages due to malnutrition.

It didn't work on my work computer. At home, it only loaded the first 2 minutes. I had to refresh to get it going.. and let it completely load before pressing play. The site wasn't very stable -
Completely unrelated.. sue me. But the uvula comment made me laugh. I had a uvula-ectomy.. when I was about 10. And I was going around saying I had my vulva taken out :rolleyes And anytime I said I had my uvula taken out, people do pause.

I was told shakes are alright, so I dunno. You're still on liquids? They said mix powders with your 'meal', what is your meal? If it's still liquids, ignore this.. But if you're on solids, the canned chunk ham/turkey/chicken are super high protein and low calorie.

Any prebander decided not to....and...

Mine wasn't the band.. RNY.. I decided I wanted it when I was 17 (6 years ago). I was begging my parents to be on board, but they wouldn't budge. So I did Atkins.. I lost 60ish pounds, then gained it all back + 30-40lb more. By time I was 22 I was basically crippled! So I decided to do RNY with or without support.. then I found the lap-band, everyone was happy with the idea of it, so a month after finding out about it, found me a doctor, and a month or so after that had the surgery. Not looking back! -

I watched that Homer thing last night, the lap-band part is like the last 10 minutes. I got a kick out of "Plastic Surgery: Fixing God's Mistakes". heh. I am getting MORE sick.. can you believe it? Now I have constant coughing fits, and it's producing nothing, so it's just annoying. And my ears hurt. My plans for the weekend.. we're going to Tenn. tomorrow to get my rings re-sized. Woot. I am going to ask them to make it just a little tight so in the event I lose more ring size, it'll still fit for a while. And since they're welding them together, I'm going to be a happy camper! TGIF!!!!! -
I think my discards would swallow you whole.

At 6 months I hit a plateau, no matter what I did. Then I did the Atkins for a week, and pow.. and then since then, no diet, just eat whatever in my small quantities.. and weight loss picked back up. I'm losing average of 5lbs a week right now! WHOOT. I was afraid to point that out for fear of jinxing myself.. but I did hit that plateau for a while and it magically disappeared. -
I was thinkin that's really odd, and I would personally flip out if that happened... but I've never had kids or heard of that.. must be another world out there :x

Many. :guess

I was just looking up nutritional info on the tuna.. they don't have it listed seperately so I could see.. but on a mini-sub it's 320 calories, which I think was the highest calorie mini-sub they have. It says it's made of tuna, mayo, and cheese. Might be the cheese, I didn't realize it had cheese in it!

I'm at a great restriction, and sticky thick oatmeal doesn't bother me at all. BUT.. I don't put huge spoonfulls in my mouth at once. I take small bites and I moosh it around in my mouth a bit...and chew the peach pieces.
-
Woops I misread, your doc isn't that slow.. 2cc at a time I would think is about right for a 14cc!
-
From what I hear, it takes like 'at least' 5cc for people with 10cc to get anywhere.. I would imagine with 14cc, you would end up with at least 7cc to feel anything. Just a guess, but I would not be concerned about 2.5cc in a 14cc and not feeling it yet. It's a bummer your doc is slow on the fills, mine was trying to be the same way, .5cc at a time (they thought, it wasn't going in and I was getting frustrated at not feeling anything), but after 6 months of no restriction he finally put in 1.5cc when they were able to get in my port.
