Ours was $10.50 a pound for the lamb. Beef is about $3-4 a pound at my store. So Lamb was definitely upscale here.

I can't find the thread where losingjusme posted the king crab. But I went to Kroger last night and found what I *think* was the same thing. It's a carton no bigger than an 8oz sour cream carton of King crab meat. GAH!! It was $15.00. They also had crab claws, same size container for $7.00. Crab claws are the best, but looking at them through the carton it looked like icky meat.. not the yummy crab claws I'm use to.. so I got the $15.00 carton. Now I'm too afraid to eat it since it's so expensive hah hah. I also got a leg of lamb, never had leg before. They had the lamb rib, which I love.. but it was $20 for 2lbs. Or the leg of lamb (6lb) which was a lot more meat and no bones for I think $12.

I got a virus not long after banding (or food poisoning). It took more dry heaves till I actually threw up, you can feel vomit trying to get UP through the band.. apparently this is NO easy feat. And it's painful You need to take anti-nausea meds, because you don't want to vomit with the band. Emetrol is the best IMO, anytime I get nausea, I take a swig and the nausea goes away instantly. It's liquid, over the counter at any drug store.

Ok pardon my ignorance. I truly am, I don't know much about AA except what I have seen on movies. I read the 12 steps for OA. Now.. how does that help? I thought in AA, you make amends, because due to your alcoholism you've hurt people, etc. But doing this for OA seems like a joke. Seriously, I don't understand? You apologize to someone because you're fat, ???? I'm not trolling or trying to flame, I'm truly ignorant on the subject and would like educating. Because I think I am addicted to overeating, and I think I've made strides with the band, but the binge times still come, so I'm of course curious for other options. But the 12 steps seems very odd.

Does your DH or SO know how much you weigh?
Daisalana replied to cQQlgirl's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I tell whoever I have the surgery, but I mention the weight loss, not how much I weigh. And I don't throw in (and that's only halfway!) I don't like admitting I was 150lb overweight My family and DH knew how much I weighed going into it, and that's why I was able to scare everyone into jumping on board with me. 333 is a scary number! I tell my mom & DH now my updates on weights, neither of them seem to care. Like being in the 250's was a milestone for me, I've always fallen off the band wagon in the 260's. So every pound into the 250's I would report excitedly to them, and they don't seem to get it. Oh well. -
How soon can I have a glass of wine?

Daisalana replied to Done's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I know there's nothing to say to you, to make you happy and perky about the band right now, we are all there at some point. But know in 6 months at the most, you're going to be singing the praises of the band from the mountain tops -
Night time snacking problem...help!
Daisalana replied to jigglepuff's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I went to snackaisle.com and ordered some lightly salted Edamame by Seapoint farms, Pretzel crisps (saw this on Unwrapped), Pita chips (also saw this on Unwrapped), and caramel covered Pirate's Booty. Suppose to be organic and healthy stuff.. and everything had decent calorie count. I'll let you know if any of it's good! -
I know 100% what you're going through Haydee. I told DH straight up I was losing respect for him. Honestly, what Kat said gave me some perspective. He does have an ego that needs stroking, he needs to feel like the man. So hanging up that swing, was part of.. woe is me, lil ol girl doesn't know how to work these fang-dangled tools I kept asking him how he knew how to work the stud finder. I really was curious, but I was hoping it'd make him feel special to explain to my lil brain how it worked. I'm trying to go a week without telling him what to do. So far I have had to remind him to take the trash out, but.. I'm not nagging this week.

My doc said the band was so tight, he didn't think I'd need any fills. He was wrong, but the band must be tight, because a month ago (and in Sept when I got my first fill) 1.5cc was killing me.

Night time snacking problem...help!
Daisalana replied to jigglepuff's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I have horrible night snacking issues. I thought eating normal meals during the day would help, but it didn't, so I'm back to skipping my b'fast and lunch most the time and eating dinner, then having my late night snacking. I like 1oz of beef jerkey (70c) and/or (depending on what I've eaten for the day) 100c shortbread cookie pack. The jerkey lasts a while, and has protein, so it generally satisfies me.. unless I also have a sweet tooth, and the shortbread cookies have a lot in there, so by time I finish it, I'm done being in snack mode. -
I use sea-salt now, it's lower sodium than the 'normal' salt, and frankly I think it tastes a lot better!

Fake It is a good song.. have you heard The Gift by Seether? It's my fav. seether song.. and Enemy is close 2nd. I loved scrambled eggs, but they only go down if I eat it with grits. Omelets won't go down, even with grits. I don't know the difference.. when I've chewed it to nothing, it should be the same.. but it's not. I am going nuts without my wedding rings, I keep going to toy with them and nothing. My hands feel ugly now lol. They are suppose to ship them back to me to deliver tomorrow. I can't wait! They'll fit! Did I tell you guys I went from a size 11 to an 8.5? WOOT
