TGIF V's!!! Tip o' the day... Are you living? Is there a dance in your life? Are you moving, growing, risking, taking the challenges of dangerous paths? In the acceptance of the danger, in the acceptance that anything can happen any moment, life comes to its best, to its fullest. My flights for NY are booked for the business trip. They now offer non-stop flights to NYC, I'm amazed (and much happy), but they don't offer direct flights BACK to here. Now, I'm thinking about the weather. I don't have any BIG COATS or.. snow.. stuff. Jennifer is it snowing up there?? We're going to be going around Plainview, NYC, Armonk, and some other nearby cities I don't remember. I come home on Valentine's day around 2:30, I thought it'd be later so told DH it gives him extra time to do something romantic lol. Now I just told him plans back on, he has to take me somewhere nice!

YAH! Not *the* Project Runway, but a new televised series they're doing in SecondLife. I am a semi-prominent clothing designer in this game.. SecondLife is holding their VERY FIRST TELEVISED COMPETITION. SecondLife Project Runway. I entered and didn't think I'd make it, there are thousands of designers, I sent them some samples of my clothing and an application, and forgot about it. I got a letter this morning, I have been selected with ONLY 11 others to be in it! I am just so excited I can't contain myself. So every week, it's like the real show.. we get a theme, have a time limit to make it, go before judges, etc. Till the last designer is left standing. This is so exciting for me, such an accomplishment, I have to share this with everyone hah hah!! When I find out when/where it's televised I'll pass it on. Maybe they'll have a voting round and I can get all of LBT to vote! It starts tomorrow for round 1, everyone cross your fingers that I can make it through the first round!!!!!!!!

Just wanted to say about the 2nd house. Even if you're looking to sell it, it wouldn't be a bad idea to sign a 1 or 2 year lease on it. Right now is NOT the time to sell. It isn't going to change overnight. May as well get GOOD renters, for 1-2 years, paying enough to at least cover some of your current mortgage on your house, and re-visit selling it when the economy is back up. Especially since you could get more for your house once the recession is over.

I got a coca-cola chocolate fudge cake slice from cracker barrell last night. I ate 1/2 last night and plan to eat the other 1/2 tonight. No guilt. I'm allowed to have indulgences in moderation! Don't feel like chit Terri, you didn't eat the whole cake did you?

I *love* those things, and live NO WHERE NEAR ONE. I haven't been since Charleston, and it made me very happy.. I love ghost stuff. Anyway.. As long as I get Tubin, Alamo, V's, some dranks, and POSSIBLY a ghost tour, I'm good to go. I just found out I have to go to NY in February to meet with some customers. LE SIGH. Gonna have to get some more valium. But at least I'm going with another sales person, so I won't be havin to hold onto a stranger.. hah

I was doin good, and now I'm bad lol. I got lobster ravioli for lunch, ate 2 bites of it.. Got it to-go and they put a breadstick in there. Sittin in my office and I decided to dip the breadstick in the sauce, so I'm eatin it. Get stuck. Customer calls.. he asks if I'm ok, said I sounded sick.. told him I'm choking on a piece of food. So while he's rambling, I'm spitting up slime lol. Got off the phone with him, spit up some bread chunks. Then I drank 2 sips of Water.. and spit up all the water. Stupid me, why did I eat the breadstick. I have not been able to eat bread without spitting it up in months.. and some reason I keep trying. DOH DOH DOH!

I had to do it 5 months post-op. They couldn't get into my port, but they thought it was leaking.. so they went to repair the leak (day surgery) and it ended up being that my port flipped completely backward. So they moved it from my belly, to in between my breasts (on that hard spot). It was not as painful as normal surgery, I was back at work the next day, just very sore.. felt like they drug the port from my belly all the way up, ripping the muscles as they went. I don't know how they actually did it, but thats the soreness I felt.

Oh oh let me tell you. I went to lunch with co-workers and someone brought up plastic surgery for losing weight. I was sayin how our insurance won't cover it. So one of them said a friend of hers in town, went to the B'ham burn center (hour from here) and FOR FREE they did an upper body lift, if she donated the skin to the burn center. Holy crap, what?! They take the upper arm flaps, and the pannis flap. OMG. I can't believe it. So I'm anxiously waiting to hear more details.. she's callin her friend to get more info for me.

One doctor required 8 weeks clean of cigs before surgery, the day before surgery they do a nicotine test, if you fail, you forfeit all your payment (I am self-pay). I said screw that, no way I can guarantee.. So anyway, the doc (ended up being the better choice) I ended up going with just said smoking is bad, but didn't require I quit. Now I smoke twice what I did pre-band, and I have a box of Chantix, waiting for DH to get his box so we can get on it. I am wishy washy though. I hate how $$$ smoking is, and of course that it's bad for health.. but I love smoking.

Im running out of pants!! I bought the 17's (which fit like 15/16) and I'm in 19's (fit like 17/18). But I only have 2 pair of the 19's and 3 pair of 17's.. so I have 2 pairs of pants that fit. The rest are way too big, I've been wearing them this week since the other 2 aren't clean, and my pants look so frumpy. Just had a fume moment with a customer. They picked out they wanted xxx, they laid out their artwork on our template for xxx. They received it, and don't like the dimensions. Uh. So I didn't know what the story is, but he's asking if his CSR is competent, she picked it out for him. Then he said, they did NOT use our template, so it's our prepress' fault for not catching it. Ultimately, he wants $$ back or whatever. So I go pull everything.. the CSR did *not* pick anything out, she sent him to the website to pick out what he wanted. HE picked xxx. Then, the artwork WAS sent on our template. Give me a flippin break. This company has tried to rip us off before, so I was rude in my e-mail back. I said YOU picked out xxx, YOU sent artwork for xxx, and we are suppose to read your mind that this isn't what you wanted? I should have counted to 10 and taken the last line off, but seriously that is how I feel. Today's not a good sales person day, I'm PMSy :x

Speaking of cute things for kids, I'm going to do it... And keeping in mind, with today's technology like mypublisher.com where you can make your own hard-copy professional books for pennies.. I plan to do what my mom did before they had fancy technology lol.. She found when we were cleaning out the attic, a kids book she made for my brother when he was a baby. It's made out of paperboard, with colored tape on the edges to make it soft-edged and then she double sided it to stick pictures in it.. and then wrote in markers, a story. It's very simple and cute.. Starts out with a newborn pic of him and it says things like "There was a sweet little boy named Jason" and then it had pictures of him with the pets "Jason liked playing with his dog D-Day", etc. Him with family "Jason has a granny, and 3 uncles name name name".. you get the picture. It was a simple book, she said she made it for him to remember names and people, things like that. The last pic is him sleeping and it says something about how he likes to go to sleep at night. It was so adorable! I plan to make one for my kids too.

Bandsters have the right to indulge once in a while without getting the third degree from DH. Is it just me?

They Just Don't Understand
Daisalana replied to Xfballplayer72's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yeah I can see that, and I understand what you're saying. But as a whole, I know there's a lot of young people like me, who was doomed to have a miserable fat life, and no matter how much we helped ourselves, we need this surgery. I thank god daily for modern medicine. I can pretty much guarantee I would have ended up bed-ridden in a couple years and dead by 35.
