Morning V's! Happy Hump Day! This week is flying for me. I am proud to admit, yesterday I had my FIRST "Good" day in a couple weeks. Me and DH went to the grocery store. Since I had gone out of town and haven't cooked lately, it's a bunch of junk in the house. So we got duck, chicken, LAMB.. I'm back into the swing. I took my 'speedy' pills yesterday and wasn't hungry until about 6pm. So I reheated some mexican food from the night before.. I ate about 2tbsp of spanish rice, and 1/2 of 1 taquito. Stuffed! So then I went to bed and got my munchies (ho hum). I got 2 proscutto wrapped mozzarella pieces with balsamic vinegar (the new publix near my house sells proscutto, so this is now my favorite food to make at home), and 1 of those dove ice cream things. I found those last night, they're little mini-bars, 60c per piece, serving size is 3.. 1 is plenty for me! So all in all, I did not binge on anything, I didn't eat continuously. When I took the dove thing, I said "NO more. This is it". And I stuck to it! Tonight is bowling, get my exercise in! They changed the shot on the lanes (thank goodness), they had changed it a month or so ago so it was almost impossible to get my ball into the pocket. Due to the complaints, they changed it back. Time to kick butt again!!

Whether you ate it recently or not, food allergies can occur at any point in your life for no reason. They can go away just as quickly. Since MSG is something people are allergic to and you ate chinese, I would guess that's the problem? DH wasn't allergic to seafood until he was about 6.. and now every once in a while I sneak something seafood into his food to test it (I got an epipen, don't think I'm tryin to kill him).. and he's never reacted. So I think he's over it. You could get an allergy test, some insurances pay for it (mine pays 80%) just to get an idea of any new possible allergies. And my best friend who never had food allergies, has been bloated for over a year, they said she's retaining Water weight like crazy.. they did a test and she's allergic to almost EVERYTHING food wise now.. except Western Shrimp. But it's something new as of the past couple of years and she's 31.

YAYYYY Judy!! You guys are just flying down, I told DH it's about time to order new jeans for me.. and I'm DEBATING ordering 15's. OMGness!! It took a couple weeks to finally fit comfortably and muffin free into the 17's, and they run small, so they're more like 15-16's.. if I get the 15's they will likely be too tight, but in a few weeks I can wear them. That mean's I'll be in a 13-15.. gasp! I'm about to catch up to my ma!! My band is being more fickle lately than it ever has been. NY trip, I was able to put away SO much food, good food.. like mutton (steak type). It was like I had no band, I dunno how I did it. Anyway, I was thinking last week, I am due for a fill.. just .1cc really. A small one to get that tight feeling back. But now, I'm tight again! We went for mexican last night. At night, when I'm loose. And 2 bites of rice (which never gives me a problem BTW) and 2 bites of a chili releno.. and I was dying. Then I started hiccuping (doozy for me), so I spit it all up. Very bizarre... I decided I DON'T need another fill yet. NYC my band just was so excited to be there, it loosened up? LOL AND YAAAAAAAAAAAAY Kat, that's such awesome news. I wish my insurance loved me :thumbup: They want me to deal with being fat on my own dime!

Hah me too, when I found out they had soup, I hit every one in both cities I frequent (work/home). None of them offer soup. And the make-it-into-a-salad thing.. we don't have either. Sounded all good in theory though. I always looks up some stuff at restaurants (especially in the beginning when I was tracking food), to get an idea of their calorie portions. I've tapered off on that, simply because the little amount I can eat, I don't worry about the calories.

I have good days, bad days, and have not regretted it yet. I've lost over 90lbs as of writing this. YAYness. 60someodd to go. In a rough spot right now, eating all the bad stuff, but I'm confident I'll be back on the horse pretty soon.

I am not to goal, and have not decided for myself whether or not I'd want an unfill. Glad to see some responses :thumbup: But as for the reflux, Prilosec OTC (over the counter) is wonderful. Before banding, I had chronix heartburn 24/7.. it keeps it at bay, if I missed 1 day it was hell. Only recently have I noticed a change in my reflux, it's finally calmed down a little. I can go 3-7 days without a Prilosec now.

Judy I think I have seen this before, I just have horrible memory obviously LOL. Oh wait, now I see the glaciers, I have not seen this album it must have been one of your other billions of cruises! :thumbup: It sounds so wonderful, with the glaciers, so romantic. LE SIGH. I love these pics, I am going to start bugging DH. If I harass him now, maybe by our anniversary in 2010 I'll get a Juno cruise.

I haven't been nauseated, but DH woke up this morning and asked me if I've been nauseated. Must be something else going around.. Stay away from me!! :thumbup: Terri I had a question, I'm going to send you my $$ from the left-over tax refund (how cool does that sound?) The price you sent me, is total? Includes the rooms in both places? I kind of fell out of the loop while you guys planned TX so I don't even know what we're doing lol. I'm along for the ride, but I thought I heard it's 2 different places? I just wanted to make sure, the cost you sent me is for both total? We bought a 42 or 46" LCD tv last night.. It was $600 more expensive than the 50 (something) inch Plasma.. I was trying to get him to get the bigger, less expensive one.. but him, my dad (who came with us), and the guy working there.. all were doing those manly grunts (from Home Improvement) and goin 'ar ar ar, LCD'.. MEN! And.. We got it from HH Gregg, about a month ago my dad bought a 72" LCD from them.. his remote didn't work, so a week later he went in, and they gave him a new remote immediately, then said "And your Amplifier is on sale, here is a $75 refund". Like jewelry places, they refund when your stuff goes on sale for the first month. So last night when we went, his TV was -$1,200 off.. due to P'day sale. It's 2 days since 30 days from his sale, but they refunded him anyway!!!! So he got another $1,200. I was like damn, it's like you get paid to walk in their store. So anyway, we got the tv.. a surround sound set (I'm nervous about the wires being all over)... then we went to the furniture store, I picked out a GORGEOUS.. BIG.. SOLID WOOD.. entertainment center. Has shelves, cabinets, lights in the shelves. It's so fancy, I've always wanted something like this. I can't wait to get it, it has to ship in from their warehouse, can be a couple weeks unfortunately. I'll take pics when I get it!

Happy Birthday Tracy!!! Congrats on the # Kat! CLAIM IT!! :biggrin2: I find small joys in claiming that 1# even if I have to lose it a few times. Judy, I swear you go on a cruise every other week! I keep getting those spam things in the mail (real mail) that are 'vouchers' for a cruise, blah blah. I always think.. Hmmm if we take this, I may run into Judy!! I want to go on a cruise in Alaska, have you ever done that? It's on my top 10 things in life I wanna do. Fingers crossed for a better day for everyone. Haydee hope you feel better, you must have whatever is going around (I claim the flu, I thought I was on death's bed!).

Tracy please don't feel that way. I left Chic a comment, hopefully she doesn't publish it.. but there's just the few who take things the wrong way. If you need to vent about your last 8lbs.. VENT! If you decide you need to lose 10lb more and want to lament about it.. DO IT! That's why we're here. I know I'm not secretly going "I can't believe she's complaining about 8 measley pounds". That's just silly, we all struggle for some reason or another, and no one's struggle is any more significant than the next. So you should always feel free to say how you feel, especially with the V's!! One day we're all going to be within 10lbs and complaining. Duh

DH made the mistake of calling me out on all the candy I've been eating Friday night in bed. I got real defensive, cause he emberassed me! I think I said something like "I like it, and I'm eatin' it. You got a problem with it??". Then I shoved another Junior Mint in my mouth out of principal. I don't like people tryin' to tell me what to do, and I always rebel if they try. I dunno, if I wanna eat candy I am going to. If I shouldn't be doing it, I have to make that decision.. someone telling me not to won't help. My sister always asked before I got a good fill-- "How can you eat that much? I thought your pouch was like the size of a golfball". I just told her, "Sometimes I can eat a lot, sometimes I can't. Why do you care?" She would shrug, and that was that. Darn nosey people

Kat I sympathize with your tooth. Everytime I see you post about it, I get ghost pains!! One of my teeth behind a canine, I am such a pansy with dentists. They had to do a root canal, then the temp. cap. I was too afraid to go back for the real cap (I know it's silly, the hard part was over!!).. so I never went back, temp eventually fell out, didn't go back, and the tooth finally broke to a nub. Ugh. They had to pull it out and they told me I can get an implant, but again I am too scared. I hate going to dentists, I go years without and then go in one fell swoop and have them dope me up and fix the problems. If I'd go regularly I wouldn't run into all this. Hope they get it fixed soon!!!!! Today is one of those days I don't like being in sales. A local customer thinks I am doing a bait & switch. She came in for a quote a couple weeks ago, told me the specs she wanted (normally I have to show swatches because people don't know paper). She gave me the exact weight paper, etc. So we did her proof today, and our prepress said they're mailers and it's too light to mail. So I call her and she is upset, it's not suppose to be paper. Well, the info she gave me was a paper!! So I showed her swatches today, and she is wanting.. cardboard, thicker than what we do all of our CD wallets on. A specialty paper, that sounds nothing like what she brought in here wanting a couple weeks ago. So the price is like 5x original quote. Not my fault, but they sure act like I'm lying to them about what stocks are. Makes me not like being in sales. Typically, they don't know what they want, and I help them figure it out. but when they come in with all the specs, I don't want to make them to think I'm treating them like a dummy by making sure the paper they say is right (99.9% of the time, if they have the specs they know what they're doing!!). I guess my new personal policy is to pull out the sample and confirm. Blah. Time to go get my new entertainment center.

Good news for me! Forgive me, I had a chocolate milkshake for lunch A coworker went by the furniture store today, PRESIDENT'S DAY SALE!!! How exciting, me and DH were getting this entertainment center I picked out ($1,600) and his LCD TV ($2,000) with our tax refund.. which comes Friday. I forgot about the sales goin on today. Anyway the center I wanted is on sale for $999!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the TV's are on sale at HH Gregg, so afterwork we're going to for sure get the center, and maybe the TV. We got $1k back this week from our escrow account (we overpaid apparently). If we find a TV with a great deal I am getting a loan from my dad until Friday. He decided to go with us to the furniture store too, cause he's looking for new furniture for his media room. I am savin 600 bucks at least! YAY!

Hum.. I tried Spanx, I am tall (only reason I can think they don't work on me) and my problem is that the ones that go up to the bra, gradually slide down during the day,or they flat out flip down and slowly start rolling down.. and then sliding off..from my body pushing on them. I haven't tried Avenue's, but I've tired a million through the years and never found any that stay in place. The full body ones, are horribly uncomfortable, the bras never actually work, and I don't notice them holding that much in.. I still have muffin tops with them. So, I'm curious.. you guys don't have these problems with the suckerinners that I have?? I was looking at the Not Your Daughter's Jeans.. they were way out of my price range especially when I'm buying new clothes almost every month.. and I didn't see any with big bell bottoms and that's all I wear :*(

Well, I have never whipped out my card for a discount or to eat off the children's menu. The only time I felt compelled to was at buffets, I can't believe I paid $20-$25 at some buffets and all I eat is a couple bites. But I guess it is payback for the $10 buffets where I ate my $50 worth in the past :wub: I avoid buffets, I rarely find things I want to eat. I don't understand why they don't allow you to eat children's menus at normal places though. You're given the amount of food from the children's menu-which is priced for that. So who cares how old you are?? I would fight it with them to explain why you have to be 12 years old or under to eat that small amount. It's different if you asked for the children's buffet price, because you may in fact eat the adult amount. But if 2 chicken fingers= 1 children meal for $5.00... and you order it, you're getting 2 chicken fingers=$5.00. Age means what? Some places do allow you to get half-orders for a discounted price. I haven't done that since banding either, I just get a soup & pick at husband's food.. or if I want my own meal, I eat some and take the rest home. I have a black & bleu salad in my fridge I picked at for 3 days from O'Charleys hah..

Well, if you really think he won't like you because you won't be plus size anymore.. time to get rid of him anyway. Never settle for someone who would leave you if you changed in XXX appearance :wub: Ever see the talkshow of the model that was seriously burned on most of her body.. and while in the hospital her husband served her with divorce papers? Gotta be with someone who likes you for you. Even if it's your smile, or your plus sizeness that got his attention in the first place, he should have grown to like you for who you are, and not only sticking around because of those things. My husband thought I didn't need the surgery, that I could do it myself, but I also was doing it with or without him, so he had to be on board :tt2:

I keep wondering if the sabotage comes from the body not adjusting to the attitude. I've been overweight my whole life, I'm getting rid of that, and my body doesn't understand! So the need to stuff my piehole to get that weight back or something. I think it also is hurting me that despite my bad behavior lately, I'm not gaining. It's hard to say "OK lets get back on track" when I don't see me hurting myself. I'm back to losing really slow, but again that goes back to being complacent. My mom told me today that my dad was hanging up pics in the house this weekend, he has one collage from a family reunion we did a couple years ago. Mom said I was HUGE and my DH had long hair (sigh, I miss it). So she told my dad not to hang it up- I probably wouldn't want that. But she pointed out how they all 'forget' how big I really was, since they see me all the time. I remember when I look thru pics in my computer. I'll have to show you guys the family reunion pics. My belly is so big, arms so big they wouldn't lay against the side of my body- they stuck out. And back to my dysmorphia, I felt sexy and was wearin a shirt far too small. Oy.

Reminds me Michelle, I saw your WDW pics when I was in NY I think, wasn't able to comment. Believe you me, never getting on this website on webtv again. That was a headache!!!! But you looked like you had a great time and I am extremely jealous!! :wub:
