So I looked up Incubus (melt melt melt, ooze, melt)'s cover of Hello. Wowse. Brandon Boyde is just orgasm in leather pants. Anyway, Incubus' cover of Hello was how David Cook did it. Still impressed with his singing ability, but not as impressed with the unique take on the song. The 17 year old kid, forget his name now.. I almost cried when he sang Imagine, and no doubt he's good.. but last night he didn't get my attention, I thought it was pretty boring. Oh, and I like all of the judges. I don't think Simon would be doing the artists any justice if he didn't say it 'how it is'. They need the feedback to get better. Sometimes people take it the wrong way, but it shouldn't be personal for them.. it's like having a job, and being told the best way to do the job. Paula is nice and sweet, but has her feedback ever told them something to help them improve themselves?

Mmm demirol. I won't even get into my complaints for today. I don't know what's going on at work, but suddenly every LITTLE customer has become a jackass. I have been really anxious and running around here pulling my hair out. I could use the demirol mwhaha.

Sometimes I get port aches, or what I can only figure is the tubing touching some nerves on my insides. Tylenol! Gas-X! Walk it off, etc.

If you're looking for info, or a community to talk about being banded, you're more than welcome. The more the merrier! But when your first posts are info about Vitamins, to e-mail you for info, it sounds like every other spam mail everyone gets trying to rip you off. If you really found some special vitamins that work, why not just say I found Vitamin Flintstone that worked great, you guys should try it. Instead of every one of your very first posts some self-agenda post to make you some money off of the vulnerability of people looking for help on issues like hair loss?

I think the difference is, in the drugs I'm aware of that make you lose weight... They also cause you to pick at your skin and mark up your face/hands.. dark/red circles under the eyes.. jitteriness.. jaw clenching.. etc. They do NOT look healthy. I can spot someone on those kind of drugs.. and they don't resemble someone who is losing weight quick from WLS hehe.

I know nothing we say will make you feel better now, so I'm at a loss. I wish I could show you that it's going to get better. :thumbdown: But just hang in there, both of you, and anyone else in bandster hell. This is going to end up being a small portion of your band journey.. think of it like your pre-op diet. It sucked, but you finally get over it, and you move onto the next thing.. do you worry about the pre-op diet anymore? But it was hell wasn't it?

While my port was flipped, it took them 8-10 sticks to be satisfied (hrmph). And sometimes more then that, with different people working there, while they all had a contest.. who can get in her port? I was never numbed. It wasn't bad at all, the worst of it, is that he made me clench my stomach muscles and tighten up.. and holding it that long, was brutal. About 5 minutes later, I had a bruise and tenderness, but while they did it, I didn't feel much. Now they can get me in 1 shot YAY.. and still doesn't hurt.. I was worried, since it's now between my boobs in a sensitive spot, but it didn't.

Green boxes are Healthy Choice I think. If it's the same as my grocery store. I've found the Healthy Choice to have way too much food for me now. Pre-band, I loved em, they did taste darn good!! --- More importantly. YOU ARE NOT GOING TO FAIL. Be patient right now, I know (I do!!) it's hard. But keep thinking about how "This will pass". It's all I could hold onto. I had to hold onto it for 5 months!

If you were banded in May, at best you would barely be 10 months out. Nobody likes a hidden agenda. :thumbdown:

Danny is gay.....last night is the first night that I thought he sounded good, I thought last night he did AWESOME. I was surprised simon said he 'hated' it. Jason is a hottie! I loved him singing Hallelujah last night. And the guy before him, I don't remember his name.. the judges said he could make a single of it.. and I 100% agree, I rewound it on tivo a few times to listen to it.

That's true, depending on your income and time.. the grocery stores have some good pre-made dinners (and some bad ones of course). But the whole roasted chickens are there, blah blah. I love cooking, I never got into it till banding like I am now, but I cook almost 7 days a week. Is there a way to make it fun for you? If not, have someone you know make you stuff you can freeze portions of(chili, Soups, meatloaf,etc.) and just reheat in the oven or even microwave. I told you before, don't be discouraged, it's a normal cycle, and in a few months you'll forget all about this bandster hell :thumbdown:

No no, their very first post was a thing about how they know special vitamins and to e-mail them about it. This was their 2nd post.

I haven't been to a derma about it yet (tomorrow will be my first time). I guess I was discouraged my normal docs never had a solution that worked, so I never thought about goin to derma. Mom told me a week ago I should try a derma, so I am. We'll see what they say!

Tracy- I feel yer pain, I have 10-20 of those at any given time under my boobs, thighs, groin, and armpits. Been that way since I can remember. I'm goin to the derma tomorrow to see if they have any suggestions. My Ob recommended things, nothin ever worked, she said my thighs need plastic surgery blah blah. So I'm hoping maybe this means they'll cover it. I couldn't tell ya what causes it (besides being fat? mom says diabetes?) but losing 100lbs and I am not 1 boil less, I am getting really discouraged about it. DH is a sci-fi nut and didn't have an answer. I bought the book I Am Legend. Good book, but in the back it has a series of short-stories. VERY MORBID short stories. Also good, I liked it a lot. But there was one story about the "Loopy Dance" which was the Dance of the Dead. Now, I know it's a fictional writer and fictional short story but it makes references to the gas after WWII they realized the gas used to kill people, animated them, and thus the Loopy Dance. Just wondering, was this true? When I google it, I don't get any good information. Was the Loopy Dance a real term? Kat- Yeah that's why I talked to her, I explained WHY they do it (HIV, Hepatitis, etc.. poor kids gettin blood transfusion gets AIDS, yadda yadda).. she said she tells them and they told her it was ok. So maybe they haven't changed it, but I dunno why she'd be risky like that. Why bother donating blood if you're risky. But anyway..

I know you're commercial bashing, but there's some weightloss drug diet pill thing.. that has a funny commercial. I use TiVo so RARELY see commercials anymore, but this one caught my attention once. Big cartoon woman with her big husband.. she says "I'm unhappy, he's not.. so we go on xx diet." It shows him shrink, and her boobs disappear. She says something like "Now we're both unhappy". It cracks me up. Head-On commercials pretty much drive me insane.. they're always on in doc's offices on local channels, and without my tivo I have to listen to it.. head-on head-on head-on..ARGH

Hmmm.. No, you didn't need to resize it, Tracy tried to just 'add picture' on her signature, and it told her the file was too big.. so I was saying, don't do that method, since it says the file was too big. I don't know why it resized, but looking at the properties, your picture is now a .gif... did you convert it to .gif? I sent you a .jpg.. So, somehow it was converted into a different file type. Maybe that is why it resized.. If you can go back, make sure it stays a .jpg.. if it still gives you trouble, I'll keep it on my photobucket and give you the code :biggrin:

Tracy I am totally with you on that.. if you DH is that much against it, I would definitely forgo it. Get a henna tattoo that will wash off! Tattoos aren't that important, DH doesn't want me having anything trashy & visible (neither do I), but if he had a problem with tattoos in general I would not get anymore. It has nothing to do with control, but darn.. if DH isn't going to dig it, and they are the only ones seeing it!! But throwing out 'but but the preacher's wife is doing it' is a nice touch :biggrin:

Hah no problem Terry, I don't think anyone can hold it against anyone else for not wanting to get a tattoo. They're permanent!!
