There was a shooting at our middle school today, boy got shot in the head. What the hell is wrong with kids these days?!?!? Looking back at middle school, guns NEVER crossed our minds. My plans for the weekend.. catch up on sleep tomorrow night. Might go to Sam's tonight with some friends (par-tay lol... yes Sam's Club).

Margies at a baby shower? THAT'S NOT NICE!!! I specifically told them no drinking, that's not fair lol. I have had a migraine since I woke up this morning. I think it may be from the weight of my hair pulled up. Those migraines take forever to go away, and my hair is pulled up at work now..HMMM. About to go to Red Lobster with my mom. She got me a bunch of baby sign stuff and measure cups/spoons. TGIF!! Thanks for the well wishes )

LOL funny how kids are ready to swim in snow. I actually remember swimming in a creek we lived by in January when I was a kid. Me and my friend turned bright purple, didn't phase us. Mom flipped out!

Polenta is like grits.. in fact, I'm making a cheesy polenta recipe, but I'm using grits.

Yea the youngest gets it easy

I remember I wasn't allowed to shave till...whenever, not sure.. but when I was 11 I shaved my legs, and got in SOOOOO much trouble. And she made me think I was going go turn into Chubaka. Haydee is right Michelle, my mom is my best friend, look at all you have to look forward to!!

So as not to get in V'day chaos like last year, we're goin to our fav. fancy restaurant this weekend for my b'day/v'day combo, and staying home on v'day. I'm going to cook a fancy dinner for his gift. Filet mignon, cheesy polenta, and asparagus with brie. YUM! I hate moving laundry from the washer to dryer, and dryer to bedroom, but I don't mind putting it in the washer or folding and putting away. So we split that up! As for dishes, I hate dishes. When I get to cooking I use so many dishes!! I hate vacuuming the most I think. Is it weird I don't mind cleanin toilets?

I was googling and finding the info for Haydee whilst eating corn pudding for lunch. Mmm.

For anyone (Judy/Heather) that may have Baby Einstein videos.. I bought 2 and they are so ridiculously horrible IMO. They're crappy made, no better than a homemade YouTube video... anyway, apparently enough people complained, so they are doing refunds. I am sending mine both back, if this applies to you... The Baby Einstein

Well now I googled, I guess our culture does do it.. eh... There are many reasons listed for eating the placenta, including it helping stem postpartum depression and it supposedly helps to contract the uterus after the birth. We know that many animals eat their own placenta, including as a means to hide the scent from predators. In our modern world this may seem barbaric and some have even said that this could spread HIV/AIDS or Hepatitis. While this is very true if people other than the mother consume the placenta, normally it is only the mother partaking of the placenta. In Chinese Medicine, the placenta is known as a great life force and is highly respected in terms of its medicinal value. However, in this field it is not cook, but rather usually dried. To dry a placenta you would simply dehydrate it in the oven, then using a mortar and pestle grind it up. From there you can mix it with food or ingest it within capsules. I have actually known one mother who did this drying technique. It is my only personal experience with placentophagia. No matter what you choose to do with your placenta, remember to value the life it has helped you nurture and bring forth. It is, after all, the Tree of Life. Here is the link, but I warn you, it has a pic of a placenta... YUCK. The Amazing Placenta

I've heard of eating it, not in our culture though. Cannibalism is still practiced in some tribes, and the point of eating it is to either honor something or continue fertility (without looking it up, that's what I remember). I have heard about burying it in our culture though. I didn't want to even SEE mine. Yuck. Monday night out with my friends is fun, we DO NOT bring kids, it's our chillaxin time.

OMG did you guys see this, it is so precious..

NO FAKESIES!!!! We also do Dodge's Chicken Boxes.. I guess they're like a KFC? I've never actually seen one, but that's what the boxes are like. We had snow & ice this weekend too, which is so unusual, we don't ever get snow & ice. Had it several times this winter now.. and a week before that we had the tornados due to 60+ degree weather. HUH. Russ' parents (about 1.5h north of here) actually had 6" of snow! They took a pic of their ranch, it was crazy looking. Our roads are tearing up SO BAD, our roads aren't freeze proof, so when it does freeze like that they crack and split and big chunks come out. Tore up a lot of new roads around here. I hate Mondays.

Michelle, that article you posted is amazing, how come they never advertise that???? I never thought about that. And Russ said 'well they've been out a lot longer", but that article was posting BOX OFFICE.. that's great, I'm going to copy that and send it around work. Do you have the original link? I want to see the rest of the list. I'd love to see your new place Pam, and fill up that big ol hot tub. I'm sure you remember, flying between here and Cali is a PITA!!!!!! I wouldn't mind next year's gathering being at Dr. PAMela.. although keeping up with special occasions (Baby Shower, Wedding,..) maybe you and Susanne want to tie the knot in 2011? HE-HE!

I had no desire to see his movie, I've never liked watching music DVD's.. but I've heard so much about it, I know my mom is going to buy it, she really wants to see it, so I will watch it just to see what all the hype is about. Meanwhile did you hear Avatar grossed 1.8 BEEELION already? My my...beat Titanic and it hasn't been out so long yet.

YES, and I was totally the blubbering one.

Somewhere between now & wanting a new car Haydee Oh my flip is an HD.. does that tell you anything about it? It doesn't have any model info on it. It records up to 2 hours of HD video.. and it's SO EASY. It pops out a USB hook up and goes right into the computer, and then it has its own software to save the videos, email them, make them into e-mailable cards, etc. I got that flip video from Judy but didn't realize what it is. I literally never heard of it till 2 days ago when he gave it to me. When I opened it, I was like eh...thought it was a new phone lol.
-
I got a customized flip, I'm not sure where he got it, they spray painted the front. I assume it's whatever one just came out since he just got it (if there's different versions) I didn't know anything about them till I got one. I LOVE IT! It really takes great quality videos for such a small little thing, and it comes in a clipped carrying case that snaps to your purse. CRYING BABIES ARE *SO* A PART OF IT LOL. Glad to hear Grady is sleeping through the night. Carson normally goes to bed at 6, and is up at 6.. He's been staying up till 8, waking up at 10, midnight, and 5. At 10 and midnight he'll cry a solid hour if I don't go in there with a bottle. At 5 he is up for the day.. and with him not letting me go to bed early, I feel like the beginning again where I'm zonked all the time. And Caffein doesn't do nothin to me My dad is talking about getting a Kindle. I don't know why I try to resist technology, I guess out of 'principal' it makes me mad to pay $300+ for a 'device' that holds books I have to Pay for.. and then have nothing to show for. And I hate reading on the screen. I had to do a digital copy of Tori Spelling's first book because it was sold out everywhere and I had to read it.. I hated reading it on a computer screen. I like pages! I'm sure one day if the Kindle gets real cheap I'll give in.

the last book I read was a Thousand Splendid Suns.. loved it!! I'm reading Judge Judy's book "Don't Pee on my leg and tell me it's raining" right now (too long to capitalize each word!!) Carson hit his 9 month sleep regression. If he has an excuse not to sleep well, he finds it. We did Farber/Ferber? and it worked well after only a week, we were doing good for a couple weeks and now in the past week he's up every couple hours, and he will cry for an entire hour before I finally give in.. he won't give in!! Kills me, it's HORRIBLE cries, he's learned to pull my strings.

I know I'm horrible about posting lately, I'm sorry!!! I say RENT IT Pam, I wish we could do that, if I was a rich woman I'd own lots of houses and rent em out. Pay for themselves, or in your case, make profit, then you can flip them one day and never had to pay on it! Hope you feel better. Booked my flight & hotel for the TX trip. We can't both afford to go, so it's just me. I'm sure you guys won't mind!! ) Now to go find my violet dress....... just kidding Haydee!! How is Ayla doing Heather??? Still haven't gained or lost a SINGLE POUND since my revision surgery. Bleh. I won't get into that. Good news is, Allergan is entertaining reimbursement, that's a step in the right direction heh. Work is busy, Carson is getting ever more needy now that he wants things and doesn't know how to tell me!! Wanted to do daycare 2x a week, but can't afford it... Russell got me the Flip camera for my birthday, I LOVE IT. Great little invention. I'm uploading videos on Facebook now instead of just pics. As for the i stuff, I don't like apple or any apple products. I HATE Macs, and Russ has an iPhone which gives me a headache whenever I need to use it. I got an iPod for Christmas years ago, used it maybe once. And I HATE iTunes, but it's the only place to buy music online anymore really. I'll keep trying to get over to post more :/ OH and Carson lost 1lb, he went from 95 percentile in weight at his 6m appt, to 75 percentile in weight at his 9m.. that's good!
-
Not yet! Crawling and pulling up on stuff.. he goes nuts in his walker though.. boy.
-
Congrats on the loss Judy!! Looks like you guys had a lot of fun. I went to Tunica (for work actually!!) Sunday-Monday. Russ & Carson stayed home, and he can't work with Carson at work, so they were at home Monday. My mom was trying to get me to go away (on the phone with someone), was bein snotty all of a sudden... figured it had to do with my sis... So a few minutes later, dad calls her and she goes 'oh thank god' and hugs me.. and I'm like what??? So she goes "your husband and son are ok!!". Heh what?! So it ends up a plane crashed in a neighborhood on County Line (the road mine and parent's neighborhood is on). She didn't know which one, and Russ wasn't answering his phone. Ends up it crashed in between our neighborhood and the one next to us, about 3 blocks from my house. UGH!!! I am always terrified of the planes flying overhead, I think I've told ya'll that before.. they're SO LOUD. They all tell me I'm crazy, but there ya go, plane crashed right by us. Time to move!!!!!!!!!!

Tuesday night we dripped the faucets, insulated the pipes under the cabinet, and left cabinets open to get the heat... froze up. 2nd night we RAN the faucets, nice steady stream, still froze up. Nothing you can do, just cross your fingers they don't bust. In places that get this cold, the pipes in the walls are insulated well... here, well, they don't insulate them. The pipes are in the wall, an outside wall, and I can't get to them to do anything. Snowing still today.. we came into work, everything that was closed said re-opened at 10am today, so we decided it's ok to drive.. it was for the most part. Parents on their way back from Bahamas, they said they had to pay $10 each to get into the smoking area in the airport.. and they segregate men from women. How funny. She has been sad that Carson is going to forget who she is.. and so tonight she is coming to get her keys from me around 7, and she said KEEP CARSON AWAKE. Don't see that happening!!
-
They did win!! I actually fell asleep the last 20m, they played SO LATE. I am an Auburn fan, but for something like this I supported Alabama. Remember, they're the big rivals I told ya about? All 3 of us are sick.. and NO we don't get this cold, no matter what I do my pipes kee pfreezing, we're not prepared for this.
