I got my hair trimmed today, and this lady I've been going to for years & years.. she's never tried to sell me on the products in their salon. But the past few times she's commented on how thin my hair has gotten. Today she told me I should use (some product she has) and it'll help it grow thicker. I'm not saying it'll work, but since she has never tried to get me to buy that crap before and she knows me, I decided to try it. $10 per bottle, shampoo & leave in conditioner. Who knows if it'll do anything, but giving it a shot.

lololol Tracy he is a cutie, what kind is it?? DH wants to get a beagle. I love older trained dogs, but I hate hate puppies. They're cute, but in our house I'm the one that had to train our dog BY MYSELF, and DH taught her bad habits that I'm still trying to break (jumping on people). I told him it's only cute as a puppy and when she gets big it's going to be bad... he didn't listen.. now 50lb dog jumps up on people. I'm trying to avoid us getting another dog, unless it's a rescued adult with good manners..

Just a fun tidbit.. Anyone remember those Choose Your Own Adventure books? When I was a kid, my aunt was a teacher in Canada.. she would mail them to me. They were so cool, and I loved to read, so I loved choosing my own adventure hehe. We didn't have them here, so I only got them through her. It ends up DH use to love those books too! So fast forward, that company apparently closed up years ago. 2 years ago, this new company bought the CYOA book rights, and are releasing new ones. They contacted me to make the book boxes for them. So, everytime they release new titles, I get a set of them to put in my samples. And its just ironic, that we're doing them. I'm glad they brought them back, I plan to give these to my kids.

Michelle- Shhh. My lunch was healthy.. it was dairy and.. dairy. Protein? I look skinnier today, not sure if it's the pants or what, but I don't bulge out as much today. Hooray. Glad Haydee is ok! Pam what's the secret? I wanna be essited too!!

Goin to bed while DH does some chores around here for a change. I am up 3lbs for this week. I am not changin my ticker, but I am upset. TOM maybe? Snacks? I normally don't let TOM happen but I have to do this med thing, so maybe HOPEFULLY that is why? :drool:

Wow Michelle!!! I don't know why (don't smack me for saying it) some reason you look smarter now too. I can't put my finger on why, it's not like the glasses are new. Maybe it's the hair style. You have a smart hair style!! I don't see a saggy neck, and I think you look great!!

NP Michelle!! You go girl, step away from the cookie dough!! I don't like the weight control oatmeal personally.. It's got a weird fake sugar taste. I keep those fruit & cream packs in my office, they're only 120c per pack.. it has more sugar I'm sure, but I'm not countin sugar.. exhibit A is on the last page hehe. Kat.. Well, DH isn't like that, he just likes talking about quantum physics and blah blah blah (things I can't repeat because I don't really listen!). He was in college to be an astrophysicist.. he is all into space and worm holes and alternate realities.. and I mentioned before, athiest, so God has no doing in all of these things, and thus all kinds of realities are out there for him. I tried to use this to talk to him about God, Stephen Hawkins (one of DH's idols), I heard was a die hard atheist, but when he got to see space he realized there had to be a God, there was no other way. But after I heard this, I couldn't find the literature on it, and DH found all kinds of stuff about how SH does NOT believe in God, so pffff. Which makes me think of Terry's regression. I read some books about regression when I was in my teens and I was so fascinated. I wanted to do the hypnotherapy where you try to remember past lives.. this wasn't the regress to childhood, it was regress to your past lives. I am christian, and so I don't think past lives exist, but I still think it's a fun idea and would be curious to know it. Kind of like my horoscope. I don't really believe in it, but it's still fun.

I have a funny story for you guys. My husband is a major geek, he's all into the sci-fi.. Last night for the Beatles tribute band we saw, we had to park about 1 mile from the concert hall (in a BAD side of town). Walking back to the car late at night, me, mom, dad (who is a big-tall and wide man), and DH. Not a lot of street lights. All of a sudden, a man who was standing on the side of the road, starts following us across the street. I was watching him out of the corner of my eye, and someone made the comment about him following us. We all acknowledged that we noticed! So then, we all had a 'game plan' in our brains.. dad was gonna beat him up, but I digress. As soon as we got to the car, the guy stopped and turned back. We just all had this feeling about him. Then sister calls when we're on our way to dinner and says "I had this eerie feeling that something was going to happen to you guys tonight". So mom says nope, we're fine! But then DH said.. "In a parallel universe, that guy attacked us". lol. So he explains how everything that could happen, happens in parallel universes.. blah blah blah geek geek blah blah. Then at dinner, mom was talking about how I was the worst kid in the world. I ended up being her best teenager, but the worst ("demon kid"-her words) because I was so independent. I wanted to know "Why?" for everything, I would have fits when I told her I learned there are 5 days in a week, and I told her she was stupid --when I was 5--for thinking there were 7 (these stories go on for hours, I was so stubborn). She thought child leashes were horrible till she had me, and I was the only kid she had to use the leash because I liked to go exploring on my own. Anywho, she was saying my kids will be horrible with the mix between me and DH. She said "I can see it now.. you'll yell at your kid for writing on the walls, and it will say 'Mom, I didn't do it.. someone in a parallel universe did it!' then I'd get more mad and they'd say 'Go ask dad!! He knows!'". Hah.. I can just imagine it, I thought that was hilarious.

Were you talking about a tattoo for all the scars? You said scar, but.. I have 5 or 6 scars. I think it'd look kinda odd to tattoo them all. I'm too much of a sissy to tattoo my stomach, if I ever got small enough I want to be able to wear bikinis and people don't look at little scars as much as they do tats... and if you watch Survivor, there's a girl with some black tattoo above her bikini and it looks like her pubes are comin out of it.. eek! Anyone actually done this? I wanna see how it'd look, in my head it doesn't look good.

Eeek. please don't take that the wrong way. I don't have any thoughts personally on whether it's genetics or not, maybe me putting it in ' ' made it sound like I'm patronizing.. didn't mean to, maybe it is genes. I was just hoping to help you realize, before you get banded.. that if in fact you are low-cal and exercising, the band is not gonna do anything beyond that. It will help you eat low-cal. It's not going to fix a thyroid problem, or a genetic problem, etc. I didn't mean to make you feel defensive, I just am afraid if you get banded, you won't be doing anything different.. so it's not going to help you lose weight. Call your insurance and ask! That's the best solution. My insurance said (I gave them the scenerio that if it's going to kill me, shouldn't they do what they can to keep me alive?) that no matter what, they will not pay for anything to 'fix' something I did to myself that they don't cover. Meanwhile, get to a doctor that can do a fleuro and check if you're slipped or eroded. Since my insurance won't cover things band related, they have paid for my fluero and emergency ER visit depending on what the people write it up as. The ER visit was fear I had blood clots (as a result of surgery), but they paid for it since it didn't say the surgery. 2 fluero's have been covered for me, they didn't list that it was for the band. 2 were listed as band adjustments and insurance denied them.

I took the test pre-banding, they said they linked H-pylori with nausea post-op.. so if you have it, they said it's 'no big deal, people live with it a long time and some never know'. They treat it with antibiotics, not a biggie. Don't worry :huh2: I kinda hoped I had it, they said it can be a cause for heart burn. I was negative, so that wasn't my reason!

I think only doc's can control it. I doubt they send you home with the remote.

I think it's been said in a roundabout way, but the bottom line is, if you're not lying.. and you're eating within your BMR, active, etc.. and you believe it's 'genetics' causing you to be overweight, the band will not do anything for you. The band restricts what you eat, thus restricting caloric intake. What you're describing is an anomoly. That despite doing things that maintain a healthy weight, you have gained weight. The band will not fix whatever is wrong with your body that is causing it not to function right. You need to talk to other doctors before you think about the band, because based on what you said, the band will not do anything for you.

TOO FUNNY. I went to a Beatles tribute band last night, came home to watch my Tivo'd AI. I didn't realize it was Beatles night. Certainly got my fill. Jason.. oh Jason. I like him lots, I love the song "If I Fell".. and he bombed. It was so bad, I wanted to throw something at the tv and make him sing it better. Waaaaah. The girl (I say she looks like Amy Lee from Evanescence).. I don't remember her name, she sang Come Together. LOVED IT! WOO!! I was all into that. She is my runner for this week. And then ..Cook (forget his first name) after her. Very good! Now since I'm a huge huge beatles fan, I was disappointed I didn't hear Dear Prudence or Hey Jude.. or even Blackbird. There were several song choices that made no sense to me, Beatles had so many good songs, why pick a weird one. Like the country girl. THAT WAS A TRAINWRECK! I ffwd through it, I couldn't even stomach the country twang they did to the Beatles. I hope she goes home.

During my wedding trip in vegas, my sister & her gf went to the human body exhibit. She said it was awesome, I couldn't get DH to go with me, I really wanted to see it. WAAH!! Terry! I meant to tell you, work gave me a vacation check, for unused vacation hours last year (I dunno how that happened between surgery & wedding?!).. normally they direct deposit, but some reason they gave me a check.. I've been carrying it around for over a week, but today I am going to use my lunch break to go deposit it, then write you a check for the full amount. I will be PAID IN FULL! YAY! Then I can just take money out for the trip to shop shop shop...and drink margies?

Morning V's! We went to some Beatles tribute band last night, was out till 11pm and then we went to Waffle House and talked for a while, so we were home late! It's kicking my butt this morning, I'm sick as it is, my sinuses ache so bad.. my neck hurts. Hah hah I actually didn't get what Terry was saying.. woops. But I second Pam, the best way to get over a man is to get on top of a new one! I don't know that Chantix made me scatter brained, I'm pretty thorough at work and did not notice it slip. The only issue (besides weight gain) was the night terror things. I was waking up all throughout the night freaking out from nightmares. Too scared to get up and turn on the tv or light, I would sit there staring at DH and mad he didn't wake me up (it wasn't logical).
