If I close my eyes and picture ice skaters and certain kinds of music.. sometimes it puts me to sleep... I choreograph it in my head.

Wow what a transition. -100lbs make you go crazy? hehe

I had never seen the commercial pre-band (april 07).. but I have noticed a lot of commercials lately. Mine aren't advertising local doctors, they're just lap-band commercials in general.

What a useless thread...

Please have a look at these Dollar Tree pg test
Daisalana replied to saravalintine's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
The C & T.. C=control T=test.. right? I don't see a 2nd line, so I would guess that says negative. You should see TWO lines for a positive (if you read the pamphlet inside, it explains what to look for.. all tests have different ways of saying pregnant or not.) I've actually used the dollar store pregnancy tests.. they were always negative (and right!). One of you preggy girls need to go get one and let us know if the positive works  -

Ok, I did some serious squeezing! I went to the bathroom and my butt was bruised!! So that's gotta be burning calories.. pain is good!

I've had taffy a few times since banding. I actually really like it, but even pre-band I hate the time it takes to chew, so I rarely have it. I was scared the first time, and just did little bitty bites. It doesn't really 'break up', so I'd avoid big chunks, and eating a whole lot at once (I ate those $.10 pieces at the gas station) in case it builds up into an evil wad.
-
Exactly, I've seen and heard all the crazy stuff, I would tell anyone with kids these days not to let their kids have things like myspace without having the password. Too many evil people in the world and the internet gives them a place to prey.

Wanting..to...eat...arm...off...so...hungry. Squeezing! Squeezing! Squeezing!! Update on sister's gf.. my sister took her to the ER.. they said her temperature is 94 degrees, which is hypothermia and causes mumbling & stumbling. Now they are going to figure out why.

Myspace can be scary.. my sister's girlfriend just told me what her 13-year old sister did on it this weekend. Apparently her & her 13-year old friend posted nude pictures of themselves on myspace. They were going to the movies this weekend, and luckily her friend's mom was snooping.. they were going to meet 30-year old men at the movie theatre!!!!!! Criminal charges are being pressed, but jeez. What is a 13 year old thinking?! And it's sad, this isn't that uncommon. I have my profile private, so only 'friends' can view it. I'm afraid of all the creepy folks out there. I had one invite, from some 'couple' that lives in my city, they said they both thought I was hot and wanted to see if I was interested in a 3-some.. Uh.. denied.

Woohoo!! I keep debating it because I can eat quite a bit sometimes, but then the next day I can barely get liquids down.

Ew those cheesey PB crackers.. if they're the square ones, those things are horrible. And some reason, my band doc gives those out to test your fill when you come in for an adjustments. The calories & fat are disgustingly high in them, and IMO tastes like lard. I got customers being jackasses today. I just don't understand this business. They know a rush job is coming up. We say, it'll take us 10 days.. if you need it by X date, get it to us accordingly. They get it to us 5 days before their due date, when we told them we need 10.. and they think it's now OUR PROBLEM that they are going to miss their date. We don't mislead them, if they need it by X date, get the artwork in sooner! BAH! Got 3 customers doing that today. They think complaining is going to make us miraculously be able to do it quicker than it actually takes us to do. I'm super hungry, I had a Kudos bar.. and coffee. But we're goin to OG in 3.5 hours, so no need to eat now.. coworker keeps green tea in her office, and I heard that helps curb hunger.. so I just made a cup. Wonder if it works?

I try to keep that in mind, on one of the interventions it was some anorexic girl.. talked about how she always fidgets, dances, etc.. just to burn calories. I am more fidgety now anyway, but when I'm at my desk or watching a movie, I bounce my legs a LOT to the point where it annoys people.. just to get moving.. and I dance in the shower.. shh don't tell anyone.

Hah!! Well the drama with my sister & her gf never ends. I don't know if I told ya'll about last week how they're now engaged them my sister left for a trip to Florida for spring break with her ex.. that she cheated on her girlfriend for. Drama drama drama. Well today, her girlfriend (who works here), talked to her this morning, everything is hunky dorey.. then I walk pass and her head is on the table.. so I was like are you ok? And she talks but I can't understand a single word, her eyes rolling back in her head. She's on something. So I said are you sick? And she just says more stuff I can't understand. Friggin kids, I don't get them.

This reminds me of my lazy sister hah hah. She is 18, in college, and not working at all. She is taking ONE class. When Spring Break came, my parents wanted her to work for those 2 weeks. She said "I need the break". I just wanted to smack her.. I work full time, full time classes and my college doesn't have spring break (what the hell is that about!!!). I think it's important NOT to be in school full time and work full time when you start. You really have to learn to adjust to college work. Do one part-time and one full time.. do only one full time if your parents can foot the bill. Then it gets easier. Now, I hate the time college takes but it's all mind-numbing same ol' crap. Lots of reading, quiz.. lots more reading, quiz...

By all means, I appreciate the ideas!! I just wanted to clarify  Like myplate says laundry burns calories.. I don't buy it! I mean, sure maybe what 10 calories? But I can't call it exercising. Wonder if Kegels actually burns calories?!

Well, I am on the fence with this. I think before they are taken away, instead of giving her a 3 month trial period to make some progress, they should educate her. However, she makes the comment in the article that it's puppy weight that will go away.. which at those numbers, it clearly is NOT just 'puppy weight'. So she's in denial, which makes it extremely dangerous. But again, in my situation all 3 of us kids were obese, and I'm sure it didn't help that we were fed fast food all the time.. but instead of being threatened to be taken away, someone could have offered counseling or nutrition classes. It would still be up to me to follow through, we had snack machines at school and ice creams in the lunch line.. ---- Also dangerous, the one you posted wheet. 254lb 7 year old is outrageous... and she says she doesn't think she's doing something wrong. Something, obviously. At least this mom is open to the idea of getting help, not blaming it on puppy weight.

Well, they say exercising, but most of these just sound like stretches... if I do these, can I brag that I exercised??? --- Burn those buns with a gluteal squeeze: While sitting or standing, squeeze the muscles of your rear end. Hold, then relax. I do this!!
-
Woohoo! I just crossed that line recently. Very exciting stuff )

I think LBT takes more time from my work than my classes. I procrastinate my classes for any reason... Mwhaha.. That being said, I still get everything done in time.. the band didn't do anything to my work habits...well except give me more energy to run around.

I was self-pay and I was banded about 45 days from my first seminar.
-
Yeah I like that link you sent Judy. I'm going to try some of these!!
-
Yeah, I think about this in my family.. my mom was a bean pole, my dad was a BIG man. All 3 of us kids were obese. I was the biggest. I know we ate fast food all the time. I still did before banding. I always thought it was normal. However, my parents raised us well.. I couldn't imagine them having taken us from them. It would have seriously messed us up.. I am glad though, I don't eat fast food anymore unless I have to (1-2x a month).. so when I have kids, I won't be taking them to fast food. But what a horrible thing to worry about.. your kids weight, no longer a vanity but just to KEEP your kids.
