Anytime I'm given paperwork at doc's office, I spend that long wait-time to go over it. Anything left over (re: inamed handbook) makes good toilet literature!

Yeah it reminds me of pogo.com .. if you use the chat room, it assumed you're saying words based off of some generic filter that looks for 'bad words'. If you type something like baseball hat, it would go @#$ hat. It just saw ball. And ball can be bad. And it makes for some weird stuff.

There's a thread about this in Rants & Raves I believe. I have never been attracted to an obese man, and never dated one.. despite what I was! I didn't take my own weight as a factor, and had I actually dated someone who was obese, I wouldn't have thought anything of it.. it just never happened. I don't think you should date any 'type' of person just because you feel an obligation to?

Wow, I'd look somewhere else. I ended up having to go in for a 2nd surgery (self-pay).. they thought either my port detached, or the tube had a hole, etc. It was $2,000. The doctor absorbed his cost, so I had to pay $2,000 to the hospital & anisthesia.

Yeah, this is why I think the filter to automatically spell out words is weird.

You know, I actually like this question.. and frequently abuse it. If I don't want to eat something, I can blame the band now. I am a picky eater (amazingly). A good example--I was reminded of it recently--.. My g'parents in florida, we visited for x-mas.. g'ma made lo mein or chow mein or something with crispy noodles and dog food meat. It's my dad's favorite dish- his mom.. and he's a big baby, so he told me 'You WILL eat it, you WILL NOT complain to her'.. one of those kind of situations. Well, I'm banded! So I brought a can of campbell's soup, which in the past I could never have pulled off, I would have had to eat a couple bites of the nasty stuff to appease everyone (yeah, I am a grown woman..). So I brought my soup, and told her.. due to the band, I can't eat uhm.. lo mein. No feelings were hurt, and I didn't have to torture myself. She was visiting a couple weeks ago and asked me "Can you eat normal food yet?". Hehe! I didn't know what she was talking about, then she reminded me of xmas. Ho hum.

I admire (envy?) people whose insurance company paid for it :thumbup:

I guess my suggestion, would not to have them written out. :thumbup:) Or an option for us to turn said filter on/off for ourselves?

Epcot center is lots of fun for adults! Actually, last time I went I was a kid, but I liked the different countries too (and the swedish food.. ahm nom nom). So jealous, DH won't go to DW unless we have kids and an excuse to go. he doesn't get excited like I do over things like that! So, Jamaica instead.. won't complain too much.

Yeah I came back to get the update..

The one time I ever had to go to court, to sue some bum who messed up my new car in a drunken rage (don't know him). He didn't show up.. and it was the big room full of other cases, so they held me to last 'just in case' the other guy showed up.. he never did of course. So I was there all day.. and I won by default.. 4k + 8% yearly interest. I guarantee I'll never see a penny of it.

Hah sounds just like us, except 4400 and Eureka are part of 'his' shows.. and Trauma in the ER, Mystery Diagnosis, etc.. are 'my' shows. We never use our dinner table, it's always tv time. We have very few we like together, it's all comedies.. Till Death, Rules of Engagement, Everybody Hates Chris (which is borderline for me, but I deal with it).. and House. House gives us a date night, it needs to come back on!

Very sad, although no different from holistic(sp) doctors, and witch doctors, etc.

Our Tivo records them as suggestions and when DH & I eat dinner together, we put it on something we both like. Lately, there's been no 'us' shows, so we watch Cops. It kills the time! There was another guy on the same episode, who was drunk and wouldn't leave a fast food place.. cops came and told him to leave and he's just going "NO! NO!" and then they say they'll detain him and he still goes "NO!" then they come to push him down and he goes "Here we go.." and then he's upside down on the seat in the squad car and the girl is trying to talk to him and get 'his side' and he just keeps giggling and saying "I'm sorry!" and she goes "Tell me what happened" and he goes "Ok.. what happened is.. I'm sorry!" and he giggles more. Some people just don't need to get drunk.. As a law abiding citizen, I get a lot of laughs out of shows like this.

Aw, well.. it was too funny for me to get upset about. This is a person pre-band.. band.. meaning, they too are obese (at the least).. trying to be the bully in school making fun of fat people. And just for shits & giggles, I looked at her other posts.. it's amazing, the whole thing she 'complained' about in her original post, her other posts are "I'm worried about my pre-op diet" "What do I do about xxx". Derrr.. that's what this forum is here for, there was no reason for her to post the post I linked you guys too.. except to be a troll. So it's just funny!

Hoohoo, I am almost in tears from the comedy. Travel.. yes, yes.. she would fit right in at OH!! I carry the weight well too, I got the band to reduce the size of my fingernails. There's no betting, I can guarantee that girl has self-esteem issues. What a tool. :crying: And since we've all had the band, some for a long time, I can "bet" that we're all thinner than she is, no matter how well she carries obesity. Guess donuts are her comfort thang.
