One of the docs I was checking out, said they do a urine test to test for nicotine the day before surgery (I am self pay), and if you fail, the surgery is cancelled and all money is forfeited. According to them I had to be 'clean' for 8 weeks, and that was way too risky (on my bank account), so I passed on them.

Sure Haydee, PM me the information and I'll start it for you ) HAPPY BANDIVERSARY TERRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't?
Daisalana replied to Banded Bob's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Depends on if you can control yourself. Sweets pass through the band very easy, so it's not going to stop you from eating sweets. The RnY does cause dumping, which I guess is a reinforcer not to eat sweets.. but you do have to do the work with the band on things like cookies, candies, etc. -
Jeez, and I can't even get an A in my writing class.

Those rashes/boils/lesions,etc. I've had my whole life and no one documented it. Even Gyno & Derma that both said plastic surgery may be the only way to stop it, neither of them offered to document it. Dang it.. I go back to Derma this month, suppose to be for whacko drugs, but I'm going to ask them to start documenting it and giving me other treatments that won't possibly make me blind & deaf.

Well I just got back from the gym. My dad got a personal trainer to set us both up on a weekly plan. We were in there about 1.5 hours, started small, and now my arms are moosh. It was WORK to flick my lighter when we were finished. We planned to go for lunch on Mon,Tues, & Thurs. Now he's thrown in Saturday morning too. Waaaah. I didn't wanna commit to getting up early and coming in on my off day. I tried to get out of it, but they said that Thurs-Mon is too big of a gap. Damn exercise people.:bolt: Now I'm finishing my oven roasted turkey salad from Cracker Barrell

Wow you guys took this thread far in 1 day! For the record, I lost 30ish pounds the first week post-op. And I didn't cut my leg off!!! Sonic is yummy. Well, their Ocean Water. That's all I can even remember getting from there, the rest was like any other fast food place. And I figured Wendy's chili was some sort of reject burger meat, since it's pieces of the burgers in it. It's still yummy though!!

A co-worker said her sister is going to get liposuction.. for $9,000?!?!?!? Is lipo really that expensive? I'd rather do a TT if I was gonna spend that kind of money, yikes.

They're moving our offices around, putting sales in another part of the building.. They were moving me to a smaller office (but it has a small window) since I handle all walk-ins and it's near the lobby.. and then they have another BIGGER office than I have now (I currently have the biggest) that they decided I could pick either of those. I think I'm leaning toward the bigger office, but I have always wanted a window.. but the window is like teeny tiny and hardly worth mentioning. What to do!! And the company is re-locating in a year, I'm not sure why they decided to move us all around now.. they're actually having to renovate the other side of the building to move us there.. and for just a year. Weird!! HAPPY BANDIVERSARY PAM!!!)

I just had to share something that really tickled me yesterday. I was watching Cops, and there's a young girl who gets pulled over for erratic driving and unregistered car. They find crack & crystal meth inside. They talk about how they're going to have to impound the car.. and she breaks into tears saying it's her only transporation.. "What am I suppose to do????" and the cop, calmly says.. "What you're suppose to do is, not smoke crack." I had to pause the tivo while I fell over laughing. :crying: Crack is whack!

Yup, that's true. When I was in the middle of bouncing between diets, all I did was gain gain gain, maintain was not a word I understood!! I have been at 233lb for several days now, woot. I am GOING TO THE GYM today. Yeah! And I brought a salad for lunch.

Yes, do not ever ever ever EVER crush or break open a time release pill, it can kill you! The only time release I take sometimes is Prilosec, and I'm able to swallow them fine even on a tight day.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HwZsilS-R2Y]YouTube - T pain-Low(AppleBottom Jeans)[/ame] Go listen!! This song, I love it.. it's about my mom hahahaha. She use to wear sweatpants and the reeboks (high) with straps.. now she wears boots with fur and apple bottom jeans (not brand, we actually call them britney spears pants). The first time my sister played it, we were all in tears from laughing.

Destiny- Are they stretch at all? The website doesn't say, and how do you think their sizes run compared to other brands? I wear 14's at some places, 18's at others, etc.

Anyone else catch this show? My Tivo recorded it last week for the first time, so I don't know if it's new or what (on National Geographic Channel). First one I saw, they follow the story of how someone (tourists all I've seen so far), agree to do smuggling to make some extra $$ while on a vacation.. get caught, and go to jail. First one was a guy smuggling nearly $2m in gold to Napal, and got caught, and was sentenced to 8 years in Napal's jail. He had an uncle in the royal guard or something, and was able to get him pardoned on the king's birthday after 8 months of jail time. It's really surreal, so this is what I expected. I watched Mexico last night  So we follow the story, they are doing illegal stuff, so shame on them.. but it still makes me think of Broke Down Palace-- though these people brought it on themselves. So near the end, I expect to hear how they were released.. they've been interviewed the whole time, how they thought they were smuggling weed from Costa Rica to Amsterdam (weird concept imo), and the layover in Mexico they got caught.. and it was a crap load of Crack, not weed. So they got 10 years in prison. And they are currently serving it!! So near the end, they are showing us around their cells in prison in Mexico City. They won't be out until 2014. What a crazy thing to happen, it fascinates me. I couldn't imagine being on vacation somewhere, and getting dazzled by the idea of smuggling drugs or gold, etc. through foreign countries. Wow. Anyway, this is one of my new favorite shows, it's so scary!!

Well, pizza isn't the devil. I hate pizza and pre-op I only ate it maybe twice a year...and I was still fat! When DH gets it, I do like picking the toppings off though.. Mushroom, Onion & Ham. Love it.
