I love the suits the men wear, I wanted DH to wear one to our wedding, but we couldn't find a place to rent them :rolleyes2: I don't think they ever figured out where her money went-- but they figured out they were leaking money like crazy in the business. Their horses are worth somewhere from 200-500k depending on how many champions they win, and they don't own many, mostly they train, board & show other people's horses. Well they never raised the gas cost to the customers, and they travel all over the east coast. So that's one way they were losing money. Also, one horse is owned by a friend, but still owes something like 150k on the horse, and they never collected, so they decided they are giving him an ultimatum to pay his bills or they will sell the horse for the money. He made some changes, raised board & gas, and his mom is no longer in control of the money.. So far I haven't heard anything that it's not getting better, so I assume he helped them. I wondered if DH would find out where the money went also, but he never could pin point it.

DH's family just e-mailed us pics, they're so proud.. his dad made it on the cover of some magazine.. and he's really done this a lot, so I'm not sure why this one is different.. maybe they just gave them the digital copies to e-mail so now they sent. But this is DH's dad, this is what his parents do for a living, they train and show uhm.... crap, I forget what this is. Some sort of horse stuff, but not western- I know western lol. We go to their shows when they come local (there's only 1 a year), and I gotta say it's really a lot of fun. They are so intense, and being behind the scenes with it, we get to see all the 'problems' people are having with their horses which is the stuff I like. I also watch those tv shows where things go wrong. And he's won first place in every division for the show he comes to locally, which is neat. Cover & Inside Cover

I don't know about the armrest down thing, 90% of the flights I am on are pretty empty, so I get a whole row to myself and I keep the armrests up and normally lounge across all 3 seats. Never been told I couldn't do that, I just have to be seated & buckled for take off/landing. When flying with family and we're sitting together, we always put the armrest up too, again never been told we couldn't.

Morning V's!! Something my mom told me last time I was sick with sinus problems, I tested her theory and she was right. I had a cold I guess..or allergies. I took allergy medicine (benadryl or claritin) and she said, it keeps you from draining, it stops it all up, and it turns into a sinus infection. Sure enough, she was right. So now I use things that do not stop the drainage.. like Zicam nose swipes (I swear by these!!). Hope you feel better Tracy!!! I am not ready for Monday, I'm so tired! I NEEDED to take a shower this morning, but I woke up throughout the middle of the night (again) with diarhea, so by time morning came I did not want to get up, missed the time frame, so now my hair is gross. I have dentist appt. this afternoon, can't wait to get them cleaned up.

Uh oh Pam.. you cleaned up 150lb dog poop and found 'something small' for me? What'd he eat? I had 3 bites of a cheese quesadilla with some salsa for lunch, and STILL feel stuffed like I gorged on Thanksgiving day! I picked up some instant carnation b'fasts this weekend.. luckily.. I can't eat anything else, and it's already 8pm. May not be able to get any more solids down, and 3 bites of cheese, tortilla, and salsa is not exactly nutrition (but it IS scrumptious). Making egg salad for tomorrow's lunch. Tomorrow starts week 3 of me officially exercising. Wow! Longest I've ever gone in my life. I deserve to treat myself to something fun.. like Jamaica. Mwhaha. Actually, we're planning to go to Tunica next weekend, I just got my commission check this month and it was about 5x what I normally make. I landed some awesome jobs last month, yaaay. So I put aside money for Jamaica, Money for V trip, and have some left over for us to blow at the casino. Down another 1lb today. Life is good. I can't wait for our trip, I'm ready to meet ya'll!!!!

Yeah, I have always bought my tickets online, and I think the only saving grace I had was my height displaced the 150lbs overweight, I was never required to buy 2 tickets. But for a year (pre-op) whenever I flew, I could have the arm rests down, but my belly would spill over. Normally I could manage to hold my self uncomfortably so I wouldn't disturb anyone (against the window, into the aisle, etc.). But there was one flight, I'm not sure how this happened.. I was middle seat on a small plane. I was near tears, I had to apologize to both people on either side of me cause my fat gut didn't fit inside my seat. That was one of my breaking points for getting the surgery. That, and I made sure no one else picked my seats ever again. I no longer have this problem (THANK GOD!!), but I understood where it came from, and if I had been (rightfully) confronted to buy 2 seats, I would certainly be emberassed, but I don't think it's their fault.

Thank you Judy! I haven't changed much since last month's pics, but since it's my 1 year, I wanted to take them anyway. I think Panda may be preoccupied getting ready to be a mom. Where is Denise?!?!?!?!

Well from my experience, with good restriction I can't eat any kind of pizza.

...I did see a woman yesterday with a BRAND NEW BABY in one of those seats yesterday coming out of the gas station, with a 2 year old stumbling behind her. She banged the car seat into the gas station door, and then on the car 2x's. Brand new baby. Lots of jarring. I was gawking, I figured the baby won't make it to 1!! Then I reassured myself she had a 2 year old, so maybe I'm paranoid.

No one know i have had lapbanding
Daisalana replied to slimmy120's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's true, I find people only pay attention to what I eat if they are jealous and wished they ordered it. That's not the case if I can only manage soup that day. Never had someone ask me why I'm not eating a lot. It's not like we were/are skinny people, that they're going to be shocked that you could possibly be dieting. Don't worry ) -
Why am I bloated?
Daisalana replied to miamipeaches467's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
They blew a bunch of air into you, so you're bloated. It should pass within a couple weeks. Same with soreness. Just take it easy & take your pain meds! -
No kids here, but I think the point of having the seat with you, from what I see of mothers, is that you can put the baby down easily to... sign forms, pick something up, pay for something, etc.

I'm not much of a solid b'fast eater, but I eat b'fast foods later in the day. Those premade sausage, egg, and cheese croissants/biscuits in the freezer aisle at grocery stores.. I take those off the bread and nuke em.. Me likey.
-
If it's that important, would you survive not having b'fast that day?
-
Yeah I asked a seller on e-bay about the sizing (the listing says asks all sizing questions BEFORE bidding).. and it's been over a week with no response. Boo.

I actually had this happen last week.. first time ever, out of no where. I woke up at 3am, and literally fainted twice from the intense pain in my lower abdomen, I broke out into sweats, went to the bathroom, then took a long bath. The next morning, it was still there, and it came in contractions. I don't have kids, but mom was with me most of the day and she thought maybe it was 'false contractions'. It was like a pain of 5 constantly, then every 2 minutes it flared up to an 8-9 for 30 seconds. Repeat. I ended up going to the ER. They did ultrasounds, catscan, blood & urine tests. They said my white blood cells were through the roof.. but couldn't find infection. The end result was, the doc said my colon had a thick lining, indicative of food poisoning. I don't know. The abdomen pain went away the next day, and then I had symptoms of a bladder infection. Drank a crap load of Water & cranberry juice for a week, went to a GP and he couldn't find anything (bladder or inside my lady parts) that were infected, despite my symptoms. I still have some of those symptoms, but I am guessing I knocked most of it out with water. I guess my point is, they couldn't figure out my pain, but you need to go to the doc, they thought mine was originally appendicitus. If that is what you have, it is fatal!

If I said this, it would be time for a fill!! If you can eat as much as pre-surgery, go get you a fill and get back on the horse! Forget the past, and move forward. If you think about the past, you'll give yourself a reason to continue to fail.. Just make it through one day at a time, then make it through the next.

lap bander wants gastric bypass ins. pay?
Daisalana replied to brandyII's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
The best answer to this question... call your insurance & ask ) You'd be surprised at how quickly they can answer those questions, they pull your policy up and tell you yes or no. -
Hm to go from size 26-4 in 6 months.. you gotta chase all yer meals with carbonation and purge. Course, coulda save you or your insurance some money and just picked up a tooth brush and commenced with bulemia.. Just sayin. My doc told me this week I'm one of his best lap-band patients, and I just thought.. tell your patients to come in for a fill, that's all I'm doing right!!!!!!

Before and After Lap Band Surgery - PICTURES ONLY
Daisalana replied to DeLarla's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Ya'll look great!!!! Here's my 1 year post-op pics. CRAP! I'm more critical looking at them, so much more to go :x Although, I have recently realized my 'roll' on my back (back boobs??) is officially 100% gone! My back is smooth! My belly rolls.. not so much. -
I went to make a payment on my Sears card today, and there was a foreign transaction from a sports store in Denmark last month for $140 + $5 foreign exchange fee. I called them, and luckily they do have the fraud coverage. Both of our cards have never left our possession, and we've never used the card online. Only time we have used our cards were IN THE STORE at our local Sears, last time was last August. Yet, somehow our numbers were leaked. I can only guess it was on their end, that somehow they let numbers get out. So, if you have a Sears credit card (mine is through Citi), make sure you check your transactions!!

How much weight can you really lose? How fast?
Daisalana replied to BATassbandita?'s topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am 4 days from my 1 year bandiversary, I have lost 102lbs/66% excess body weight. The past month I have been stalled due to restriction miraculously disappearing at the 100lb mark (how weird is that??). Just got a new fill and back to losing 2lbs a week!! ) Everyone is different, is key. You may not be typical of any one elses results, so I think it's setting you up for failure to compare yourself to someone before you even begin. Enjoy the ride!! Remember '2lbs a week' loss, does not mean literally 2lb a week necessarily. For the first 6 months, I had 1 month of gain, and 1 month of not moving 1lb, but on 'average' I was exactly at 2lb a week.
