  1. I thought she was either 1. comparing her breast size to an apple - hey the band doesn't reduce breast size 2. saying you can't eat an apple with the band, and thus you lose inches I dunno.
  2. I have had this happen before, and it ended up they put my wrong insurance card # in after the fact. Don't panic yet, I ended up calling the hospital's billing and they fixed it.

Don't quite understand why the new magazine thing is the focus of the website.

    Is it just a coincidence?

I started out the opposite. The year pre-op, I got sick EVERY TIME someone at work was sick, I was sick at least 2x a month. Post-op, I did not get sick for 8 months straight, I figured it had to do with taking vitamins. Then this year started, and since January I've gotten sick quite a bit.
  7. I had to take a bottle of Magnesium Citrate the day before, to clean everything out. I got the cherry, and I have to say it was not that bad. It was like a tart shirley temple. I actually took this stuff again not too long ago when I was having stomach pains (1/2 bottle this time).

Why can't pretty clothes be cheap?

yeah if you have a fashion bug or cato in town, those are great places to find a lot of clearance items on their rack. Cato doesn't have online shopping, but FB does. And a lot of their non-clearance items aren't bad either. I went to FB 2 weeks ago and got 14 shirts for under $200, and only 1 was on sale.

    So, I'll never be 125?

Statistics are just that. It takes into consideration of people who lost 100% or even 105% of their 'excess weight' as well as those who lose 0% or -10% of their excess weight. If you look around this forum, many have made it to goal + some. There are also others who the band did not work and they went on to have another surgery. Statistics (in all aspects) are really hard to make decisions by. I hit 66% weight gone in 1 year, and I'm not stopping!

  12. Thank you so much for your kind words!!! Sorry it took so long to respond, I did not realize you had left a message.

  13. Argh do not like the new formatting, hopefully that's not permanent :rolleyes2:
  14. Hah hah Michelle, I think the band gods will forgive you, you didn't know! I think most of us were snarky about the other girl, cause we didn't know her.

Why can't pretty clothes be cheap?

Yup, I have no problem with Target & Wal-mart clothes. Also, I look online at my fav stores, and ONLY shop their clearance (otherwise I get in trouble), then google a discount code for free shipping or 10-15% additional off. alight.com alloy.com oldnavy.com torrid.com fashionbug.com (I got some super cute dresses for work for under $10 bucks here a month ago) etc.
  16. Yup, I am doing a lot of arm work in the gym, and I know it's only 3 weeks but I want my arms to be pretty darn it. If I flex, muscle on top, and then a huge flab dangling underneath. Such a bummer. Try clearing your cache/cookies to get the pic to show up :rolleyes2: If you look at page 90 of B&A, it's just her 2nd after pic.

Don't mother's hold their babies anymore?

I think I'm lucky.. I'm in sales, and though I work in the office Mon-Fri 9-5.. I talked to the owner (a woman!) and asked about flexibility when I have kids. There is no paid maternity leave, but she said if I set up a home office, I can work from home till the kids start kindergarten. I'm the only sales that works full time in the office, all the rest have kids and work from home, but come in a couple times a week. I plan to do that, I think I'd go nuts staying at home all the time, so I plan to come in a couple times a week for a little while.

    How Much?

I am kind of torn on this. I've become a spectacle since I lost so much weight, and generally I don't mind answering, although a bit emberassing because as I proudly say 102lbs, I know they're thinking "And she's still fat?". Heh. But there's people who work in our plant, I don't think I've met before, I have no idea what their name is.. and they come up and say they don't recognize me, and ask how much I've lost. I tell them, but it does throw me off guard someone I don't even know asks me such things.
  19. Michelle, go to B&A thread, boo boo just posted her latest B&A in the last 1-2 pages. She really came a long way!! She was a size 30, 320lb. I wanna know how she got her arms not flabby!! My arms are the only thing on my body that is the exact same size it was when I was 333lbs, except they are just deflated now.

    Champix without putting on weight

Chantix works, I plan to do it again when I hit goal. The 2nd week on it I gained 5lb after a steady -2lb loss per week for 2 months. It spooked me, so I stopped taking it.

    What does it feel like?

I have really really good restriction (gulp). I can feel it anytime I swallow something. If I eat and the food is still there hours later, I can tell. If I haven't eaten, I don't notice the band is there.

    Shrinking Violets- Who are they?

Yep Penny's right. There's monthly support groups, and I think most of us named our groups. April 07 banders is Shrinking Violets. It doesn't really mean anything, it's just our.. mascot :rolleyes2:

  24. It's BooBoo Kitty on the top lol. She's a LBT member!
  25. I love horses too, we use to own them growing up (Western Style), and one of them had a foal I named Simba (around Lion King time). He ended up getting opossum's disease and we donated him to Auburn University for finding a cure. Wow this seems like forever ago. I am afraid of running on a horse, I've never done it. I have trotted, and walked, but anytime I tried to do running, I immediately lost all my balance (which I have little of to begin with) and panicked and stopped the horse. I love being around horses, I don't think I've ever been scared of them. They seem so intelligent and aware!
