I don't get a lazy Sunday! Tomorrow I'm suppose to be moving offices.. I was told "Monday we are moving offices". They set my new desk and stuff up in my new office. I got a call this morning, they hired new people, who are moving IN to our offices tomorrow. Meaning, I have to be out of my office BEFORE tomorrow.. NEW people are moving into offices tomorrow. Bah. So me and DH are going in today to move my crap. And it's a lot o' crap. If they had told me this, I would have started Friday. I got stuff all over the walls, my computer stuff, every single drawer I have is full of junk. Then I got boxes of junk behind my desk!! I told them, my new office doesn't have shelves, and I want to keep the shelves I have.. so they told me to just move it to the new office. That's a far way to haul all this crap. Sunday is normally clean house day, I guess it's a good thing I did it yesterday!

doctor said my port is too deep to reach to have a fill
Daisalana replied to mommalois59's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
But keep in mind, we had the band for a reason! -
I drink a crap load of water, just plain water. 60oz+ most days. 40oz on a bad day. I think out of lack of anything else I can do immediately I'll just try upping my protein and see where it goes. I am just praying this is TOM issues I'm having, I'll be really pissed if I'm eatin low cal, and working out and not gonna budge! I still have 50lbsish to go!!!!

Can I lose without all the water?
Daisalana replied to Friendshelp40's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Have you tried Water at room temp? That's how I prefer it personally. I have done diets in the past, and was never a water drinker, and the weight fell off, so I don't know that water=weight loss. It's just healthier, blah blah stuff you know. -
Yeah me too Lauren!

Oh.. wow! This new place called Jason's Deli opened down the road from work, a group of us went last week. It was fantastic! Everything everyone got was wonderful. It's like a gourmet deli. Well, it said they DELIVER!! So I took a menu home, there's so much to choose from. They have slimwhiches (low-cal sandwhiches), but I can't eat bread. I have had salads, fruit plates, and Soups. Today I couldn't get away from work, so I decided to order. They have a crap load of locations nationwide according to this menu, and I went to their website-- you can order online! And I picked a salad, it lists everything on the salad, then you pick that you don't want tomatoes, or don't want whatever, etc. I got the broccoli cheese Soup & a side salad.. YUM!!! They do not skimp on veggies in the salads. I am so impressed with this place. If you have one locally (you can check here), I would so suggest this place. It's my new favorite restaurant. https://orders5.jasonsdeli.com/jasonsdeli/web/

Thanks for telling me hah hah!! I've been pretty adament from straying from the soup/salads/fruits. I knew they had potatos the size of my heads, but I did not see the one with broc & cheese. I may have to get that next time.

I am 150% tubing!!! And I am wearing a tankini. Ho hum. Yeah, even when I was 333lbs I wore a tankini, so I'm not gonna stop now. Although, I have more self esteem issues now than I did before! My flabby arms drive me nuts, I hate them. I went to walmart last night to get some stuff for the gym.. been wearing size 4-5x pajamas that I wear around the house for lack of anything else to wear, and everyone likes to comment on how horrible it looks. So I found some extremely cute short-shorts, knee-length drawstring pants, and t-shirts, all for $5 each! Dick's sporting goods was $40 for ONE PAIR OF SHORTS, I had to bail on that place. And I got size 15/17 Junior XL and everything fits. So excited. You'll get to see me lounging in clothes that fit now, most people see me in the 4-5x stuff hehe.

Hey V's, I need some opinions!! Today just building up all this funk and I'm torn on what to do. After the last fill, was super tight for the first 2 says, I blamed on swelling because I was back to being able to eat normal but very small amounts. Down to 229lb. Then I got super duper tight, and everything is a struggle, and the scale is back to 231lb?! I started tracking my intake on myplate just to make sure I'm not eating more than I think I am (I eat more snack things when I feel this tight). I am still 1,200 calories or less, AND WORKING OUT. And at 231!!! Well, I did start TOM 4 days ago.. so I am wondering, think TOM is responsible for the 231 and the tightness? I stopped taking protein supplements months ago and was losing fine, but I also wonder if I need to start taking them again because I pass on meat unless it's already chopped up nice. Just need some advice or encouragement. Trying to decide what I need to do, or if TOM is just kicking my butt. Since I'm not use to having TOM due to me taking my pills back to back, this is month 2 of having a TOM and last month I wasn't much restricted so I didn't notice much. I am trying to make an effort to get more protein in today.. Had 4 pieces of instant bacon (70 cal, 5g protein) for b'fast.. and I'm making egg salad for lunch, and trying to find a flake tuna recipe for dinner.

Banded on the 16th and feeling blue
Daisalana replied to Rebecca1203's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Must be the date.. I was banded 4/16 of last year, and I thought the surgery was a million times more painful than I imagined. then I pulled a muscle and ended up in the ER thinking I had a blood clot from the pain. But, here I am a year later and lovin' my band. Don't worry, everything you're going through right now will soon be a distant memory ) -
Doh! Just popped in to see if we were there yet. Due to me trying to squeeze a lot out of my paychecks, I'm suddenly super glad I already bought the plane ticket & paid terry!!

It's no biggie, only takes me a sec! Just e-mail me the pic (larger than the avatar size hopefully  ) I have the template at work, so I'll make it Monday.

Sweet, I'd go nuts too. I go to BB&B just for the "Beyond" hah. I go crazy in those stores, so I try to avoid them. My cousin works at dillard's and the employee discount only applies if they use a dillard's credit card. How messed up is that??

No and no. And no results from it thus far, unless the whole muscle weighs more than fat is noticable. But trying not to dwell.. just perservering  This is my problem, I HATE exercising, I hear about how you get into a routine and blah blah can't live without it.. waiting for the blah blah to happen. Thanks for asking though!

Oh yeah TGIF. Just got home, finished 1/4 of homework so far (throughout the day). DH is making me play Everquest with him. SIGH. I am trying so hard to get into his crap with him, but man it's hard. Judy - Yup I do like it!! But since I've been doing gym the past 3 weeks--whew-- I have only used it a handful of times when I am in the bedroom watching tv. I do have to hold onto the wall to balance though, but I don't mind since it's nice and compact!

Yeah grades are semi-important to get into college, depending on where you want to go.. but extra activities look good too. Once you get into college, grades really matter! For job interviews, I've only ever been asked to supply transcripts from college, not HS.

Hi, Everyone....I think I'll be the contrarian voice here...

You insinuated that there lawsuits popping up everywhere for people to sue for having had the band. Not because a doctor was incompetent but because the band was dangerous. That's an extremely misleading statement with all the data given. You were essentially trying to cause a mass hysteria about the evil band and how it will ruin everyone's lives-- they just don't realize it yet! I'm not proud or unproud, I still think you have a hidden agenda. -
I have never done this, and the companies around here are few & far between. No one answers phones, so just waiting for anyone to call me back. I have 1 quote so far, and nothing to compare it to, so wondered if any of you have any idea if I'm getting hosed or not. We are sodding our backyard with bermuda. It is currently overflowing with weeds & red clay.. and rocks. They said it's 200 yards, $2.25 per yard + (Originally he said $350 prep work) but I got it down to $250 for prep work. Total to sod the 200 yards is $700. That seem high or right, anyone?

They have 'light" evoo?? What is light, calories? And does it taste any different? Guess it doesn't matter too much on that question, I don't like the taste of evoo, I just cook with it and it doesn't leave any taste..

We were trying to save a couple bucks when we built the house. They sod (cost included) to the back of your house line. For some amount of money, they sod the whole thing. One of those live & learn things, we thought we'd save money. It's all red clay, which is a major bitch if you know what I'm talking about. Bright red, staining dirt, that never 'dries', so if the dog (or your shoes) touch it, the white carpets are ruined (has happened plenty of times already). So we don't use our backyard AT ALL, it's fenced and I'd love for the dog to be out there sometime. We thought we could seed it and blah blah.. well actually, they seed/hayed it when we moved in. Didn't grow. 2 months later, we bought tons of seed and a seed layer thing, and nothing happened. So we realized we have to sod it, and here we are.
-
I guess that price is good then, it's for Bermuda grass which is a higher end. I finally got another quote, for $1,200. The other option is doing it ourself, and despite how my mom says we should and it'd be 'easy', when I talk to DH about it.. who is anal rentetive, and insists we till the yard, dispose of every rock, etc.. it sounds like a nightmare and I don't feel like debating that we CAN do it half-ass. Bermuda supposedly grows like wildfire, my granny piece by piece sodded her backyard with it, said she never prepped the ground, just threw it on top of her current yard and watered it. But like I said, DH won't let me do it the easy way and I don't feel like fighting. I think we're just going to go with $700.

Where did/do you go for maternity clothes?
Daisalana replied to Wheetsin's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
I'm going to learn this from your experience, hope you get some good pointers on tall length maternity plus sizes.. heh. -
That's a crap load of milk. I'd be worrying your body was craving (needing) something else? I was never a milk drinker before banding, I thought my little 6oz carton a day was a lot!!

That's not too terrible!! When I was at college, since my address changed a lot, I had my credit card bill go to my parents' house. I paid it online, but the physical copies went to them. They opened it every month, and now I'm not sure what for, it never helped anything. I guess they looked for any fraudulent activity.. and I never bought anything out of the ordinary so it didn't matter. Well I order sex toys ONCE.. ONCE (well many times now, but at the time.. ONCE), and the place said discreet billing, shipping, etc. I get a call from my mom a month later about some "Sex Shop Purchase". Sigh. I called the sex place and threw a fit, they made an 'error' and offered me a 15% discount on my next purchase and swore it wouldn't happen again. I refused to purchase from them again for that error.. But that still looms over my head. At least you didn't know the people!

Probably the part that you pulled out of your ass about how Lap Band doctors will be sued, and Lap Band will be pulled from the market.
