Pam- ACTUALLY there is a bit of a method to it :cool: Girl sperm are slower, but live longer.. boy sperm are quick but die quickly. Then there's the acidity/alkaline of the vajaja that determines the healthy environment for the sperms, and boy/girl like different things. Like Judy doin the vinegar bath, made it a better environment for girl sperms.. So this 'method' to get a girl, is that you have sex BEFORE you ovulate... so that by time you ovulate (ideally) the boy sperms have died off, and the girl sperms are making their way up there. Also, it says having the sperm 'deposit' at the entrance is a better environment for them, gives the girls equal time to get up there.. if it's all up at the cervix the boy sperms go nuts and win the race. Fun stuff huh?? It says if the woman orgasms, it turns (alkaline I think) which is good for boy sperm, so if you want a girl... sex before ovulation, non-deep penetration, and no orgasms for the lady. Also, it says caffeine stimulates and makes the boy sperm even more active, so no caffeine before sex. I'm doin' my research, I only want 1 more kid, and I would like a girl! That being said, I'd love whatever I have either way, but I don't want to be tempted to have 3 kids just to try for girl!!

I'm back!! My hip, oy vey. I was limping around on my muscle relaxors/pain killers, and my mom THOUGHT a shop we wanted to go to was right beside where we were seeing a show.. she was wrong, and we ended up having to walk 2 miles.. strike that, I limped, crawled, cried, and nearly passed out in 2 miles. Then we found out you can rent wheel chairs, I was so miserable, so we did. I learned a LOT about being handicapped. Very bizarre stuff. One thing, always looking at people's butts was weird, I was so tempted to slap butts all the time. Then, I got sad sympathy looks from so many people.. that was random. And then the lack of handicap ramps, the rudeness of some folks cutting us off and not letting us getting on a tram, things like that. Was a weird perspective. But I got relief for my hip and got to rest it for 2 days. Went to chiro yesterday, ends up my hips are twisted 2 inches, so my left leg is 2" longer than the right, and I'm all out of whack. I go to him every day for adjustments. No idea how it happened. We went to Vegas with $600 and came home with $800 and got to play all weekend, so it was a good trip. The hypnotist.. Russ, his friend, Leslie and her gf all went on stage. Leslie was pulled off cause it didn't work on her. The other 3 said they were faking.. maybe, but it was an entertaining show!! We got the dvd, when I borrow it from Leslie I will youtube some of it. Chris Angel is the other show we saw.. I think he's a good magician but way too cocky.. his show was not his cool magician stuff, and a LOT of his cockiness, so it was not worth going to. Would not recommend. Oh and if you didn't see my FB pics, we went to Margaritaville (our fav. place in Vegas haha), and had Margarita TOWERS!! Each tower held about 15 margaritas, and our table had 4 or 5. Then once you're good an drunk a sexy little thang in coconut bra and grass skirt comes up with a ton of EXPENSIVE bead necklaces.. and we were all so drunk and going 'YEAH!! BEADS!! BEADS FOR EVERYONE!!" lol.. we all ended up with a set, some with a couple. Even all the men got into wearing these painted beads. Margies do funny things. Haydee, I don't know if you guys are 'trying' for anything specific... our next baby we really want a girl, and of all my research I've found all these tidbits on how to time it. We leave at 6am. I have had a HORRIBLE day, everything went wrong. Woke up with all the hurt, then had to wait 2 hours at the clinic even though I was the 2nd person signed in when they opened.. For lunch my dad picked up Olive Garden, and they forgot to put the sauce on it, so I had noodles and chicken. Their noodles are surprisingly not good without sauce. Then I went to the allergist, and after 40m after my appt. time, and being behind 4 people, not a SINGLE person was called back in 40m, I finally left. And all I was there to do, was tell them the meds I'm on are working!! Then I get home, and I ordered a $60 swimsuit set from Avenue, as well as the dress for Haydee's wedding. She wrote me back saying, shorts are sold seperately here (sent me a link to their shorts, which CAN be sold seperately, they sell seperates). I wrote her back with a link to the item I purchased, which is even TITLED with tummy control (which is in the shorts), and it says SET, and it says it comes with the top and shorts. She wrote back saying "We have decided since you can buy the short seperately, they are not included". Really? So I called their manager and went off. He looked it up and said I was right, it should have had both pieces. Too little too late, I'm returning it for a refund with copies of this girl's emails as well as the listing. I don't like how I feel being on the pain meds & muscle relaxors, but I know it'll help if I can get all those muscles to calm down. Only taking 1/2 of each at a time, but still feeling way doped up. But I AM going to vegas, and dang tomorrow better be a better day overall.

Ok I had 2 possible conclusions, I have no idea if I'm right, but so far, if the meds he gave me don't kick in there's no way in heck I can go to Vegas. I can not put any weight on my left leg, and if I use any muscles to 'bend' my leg I get a severe charlie horse in my left thigh. Tuesday morning I woke up and it was a little sore, like I slept on it funny. Wednesday morning I woke up and it was a dull throb. 2am last night I woke up and I was in excruciating pain, charlie horse after charlie horse.. couldn't find a way to work out the kink. I thought MAYBE one of the shots I got for the pnemonia was thick and messed up muscles.. then I remember at our Sears pics, the girl told me to sit on my hip, knees pointing the other direction, it was extremely uncomfortable and I was tensing up muscles I don't normally use.. then I had to hold Carson and he was wiggling, so I kept 'pulling' weird muscles. So it's one of those 2 I believe. Doc gave me muscle relaxors and pain meds, fingers crossed I feel better or I can't go!!! :smile2:

I just realized I haven't told anyone, I'm going to Vegas on Friday!!!! It's been planned a while, I've just been so busy, haven't thought about it. And then I just realized it's 3 days away.. oops!! For Leslie's 21st birthday, my parents, Russ & I and Leslie and her gf are going. Leslie said something about having a girls night and drinking, and I said as long as the girls night involves sitting at slot machines. I'm not goin to Vegas to barhop lol. We're going to Chris Angel at Luxor, 5th row center one night, and then a hypnotist show the next night that Leslie said she's going to go on stage for. We saw it on our honeymoon, so if she is hypnotizable(sp) it will be a riot. Carson's 2nd godmother is watching him this weekend. And Pam I think you asked before and I never got around to answering. I use these terms non-catholicly. Just don't have a better name for it. If something happened to us, he would go to my parents, if they were gone too, they would go to my friend Brandy, who is the '2nd godmother'. They are all staying till Monday, but I didn't want to be gone from Carson that many nights, so we come home Sunday. Quick trip!

Sometimes when it's like hung up once the important part of the page loads, it means the ads all over the place are getting hung up. If you click the stop button on your browser, it stops loading all the ads and you can post as normal. I am feeling better. I can breathe most of the time, and my night time cough wasn't AS bad. If I am walking around the shop I start having breathing problems and the coughing fits. Last night the "good stuff" cough syrup worked well, although I woke up at 3am when Carson got up crying and after rocking him, I ended up being wide awake till 5am.

You can't scare me away from PS 2011!!!! Haydee those pics are gorgeous! I am going to try to upload our Easter pics sometime today, we took a LOT. But we have a full schedule, I just got back from a clinic, Carson goes to doc at 1 to follow-up, and at 3 we have Sears pics (doing fam pic of Me,Russ,Carson). I AM sick!! I've been sick with whatever Carson has had for a month now (rotating germs). But I had a normal cold kind of cough for a while, then last week the cough stopped for 2 days, then came back with avengance. I can't breathe well.. Saturday night I was coughing and choking and puking from choking all night long, didn't get good sleep. So I figured I probably had pnemonia, since pnemococcyl (sp) caused his ear infections. Sure enough! I have pnemonia in both lungs. She gave me 2 butt shots, and of course I'm dressed nice because of Sears portraits, I had a skirt and spanx on, had to modestly try to roll them down for shots.. and then antibiotic pills, they did a breathing treatment, gave me a new inhaler, and some good cough meds for night time.

YAY michelle!! You're going to have a blast, and make some great memories :thumbup:) I'm on count-down till Carson can enjoy Disney World. This week flew by, surprising since I haven't slept in a few nights. We're back to letting him cry it out, he hasn't slept past 2am in days. I think we figured it out, he's been sick for weeks and in that time he's been sleeping in our arms or in our bed with us. Now he's adjusted to that, and so around 2am every night he wakes up and won't go back to sleep unless we hold him. It's slowly but surely getting better. And the sickness flared back up in Russ & I.. He has been feelign stomach-bugish.. and my cough came back with avengence yesterday morning, that deep loud cough.. ugh. My snot is back to green too, and I'm all congesty (yum right).

Well on the other side of news Michelle, I think Judy has the name of a florist in your area NOT to use :frown:

Heather, I know you mentioned Augmentin so I wanted to find out what you ended up doing to get her to take it?? Carson is on Augmentin ES, and he's been on it 9 days now (tomorrow is last thank goodness), but it'd be nice to know for future reference. Everything I find online is for 'kids' that you can trick them with treats and chocolate... In the evening we mix it into his fruit, and he doesn't notice, but in the mornings... He doesn't finish a bottle, so can't mix it into that (plus it's like gold as you know, they run out!!) I'd hate to even try a smaller bottle, him taste it, and refuse it then trying to force an ounce of milk into him. And he doesn't care for more than a bite or two of solids in the morning, so we can't mix it in his food. One trick I read online, is you can ask for a higher concentrated dose so that you have to give less liquid. Do you remember what Ayla's dose was? I'm curious if that's something you can do with Augmentin. We have to give him 3.5ml, 2x a day. 3.5ml is a LOT to force... for our mornings I am able to get .5ml before he freaks out, then its a fight, and most of the time he gags and spits up more than I'd like to see (as I scramble with my fingers to push it back in, as well as I can!!!).

I go to the same stylist forever, she owns the salon across the street from work. She always asked if I was pregnant (for 3 years now). Nice huh? She knows what she's doing, she's the only one who does my eyebrows right and she trims my hair in like 2 minutes flat.

When I need a trim, I always say.. if you have something fun in mind, do it. I can't pick anything out because I've never picked anything out that looked good. But then no one takes the creative liberty I try to give them and I end up with just a trim.

Oh yes, Easter Bunny is ready. I bought Veggietale egg huggies (he loves Veggietales), and a plush easter basket with easter-style toys (like Little People in a carrot wagon with bunny costumes on, etc.). He will have no idea what's goin on, but mommy wants to do it!!

I don't know if girls are the same way, but I figure they are to an extent.. but teenage boys will eat you out of house and home. I was taught this when Russell's brothers would come to visit throughout the years. It was like an army came if they were in my house for a DAY!

Just wanted to try to add my pip about the sleeve for you Pam. I did a lot of quick research there when I was trying to figure it out. I actually called and talked to a few LBT members who converted (and I hold stock in their opinion, especially since they've done both). And one of them is not a big hero around here, but she actually lost more than enough with the band but still converted. The biggest thing I loved to hear; the restriction is constant, and the restriction is consistent. No being able to only eat a twig in the morning, but by night time you can have a feast. Hormones won't change it either (me too Heather, since having Carson my hormones really screw with my band). They said the hardest part was 'chugging' water, you absolutely can't and they actually miss that-- I could probably relate to that if I had the sleeve!! The other WONDERFUL thing that--for me who has had all these complications--I really want it for.. There are NO complications beyond 3m. This is unlike any other bariatric surgery. In the first 3m, you can pull a stitch and your stomach leak. They keep you on Nexium for the first 3m to keep your acid from building up and possibly messing with it. The doctor I was looking at does a fluero every day for the first 3 days to make absolutely sure there's not a drop of leak from surgery. THen the next 3m is all up to you. If you stick to the diet and take the meds, you will heal fine. After 3m-- NO COMPLICATIONS!!! It can't break, slip, rotate, flip, blow up, nothing. That's a huge bonus to me.. I am out about 35k now with my band, and the original surgery was 13k.. isn't that sick?! You are not bypassing nutrients (which I worry about with RnY). I have talked to my doc's patients in the waiting room that had RnY, many of them with horrible horror stories of always being sick and having to be hospitalized. People die from RnY from malnutrition after the surgery.. People only die from lap-band & sleeve with a complication from surgery. They have a Sleeve Talk forum just like this one where you can look around, read about complications, people who converted from band, etc.. Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy Surgery (VSG) Forum And if you want to call and talk to some LBT people who converted, let me know. They are very happy with it and I'll put you guys in touch!! I AM converting to it eventually. Whenever I have the $$ and after baby #2. My mom said she'll be more open to it if I promise to wait until after the 2nd baby, even though the sleeve doesn't hurt nutrition it makes her nervous, so I agreed to wait.

Much better!!! The antibiotics are definitely working. He slept through the night 2x in a row now, so no pains. I feel kind of bad, someone PMd me, asking about my doc (they are thinking of using him). I don't have that gung-ho about the lap-band that I did when I started, and I know she does. I don't want to discourage it, but I can't muster the faux enthusiasm. Only reason I don't have a sleeve now is that I didn't have the fight in me when it was time for the revision to get them all on board. I plan to do it one day! But I'm not going to try to tell someone to get it over the band. The band worked beautiful for me until I got pregnant. 120lb in a year, no effort.. I don't know why it doesn't work the same anymore.

Our Augmentin, has less than half of the bottle left, we've given 5 doses, out of 20. I talked to the doc this morn, he told me to take it to the pharmacy with the dropper I use... so I did, and the kid was like 'well the bottle holds 75ml, so this should be enough'. I stressed that 5 doses took half the bottle, and he goes "Well, this bottle holds 75ml, so it should all be there". So that was his brilliant answer. Then he throws in there, I need a new Rx if I am asking for more. Really, I'm here because I'm trying to illegally obtain Antibiotics?! Don't understand why they are running short!! It makes no sense. I know how to measure, and even if I didn't they make the dropper pretty dummy proof, it says 3.5ml on the dropper. Plus side is he feels tons better. Last night was the big deciding factor; he slept beautifully. Didn't even cough for as long as I was up, which actually worried me. He is still coughing today, but last night he slept fine. We did put one side of his bed up on books (big computer programming books heh), so he slept at an incline. He went back to daycare today. Normally 3-4 kids in his class, today they said they plan to have 8. Oh good, lots more new germs! I am hoping we can go 1 week without catching something.

Beret is tres cute! That's funny because for Christmas my brother wanted a dread cap (I don't remember the exact term anymore), and I googled n googled.. he wanted one that hung way back to hold dreads.. anyway, all I could find were homemade ones on etsy, that were ridiculously priced and the ones I ended up going 'ok that one looks nice, I want it'.. it was already sold!! You should look into that, apparently it's got a big market. Oh my sad Carson update, he acts fine during the day but when the sun goes down he is so pathetic!!! He was just wailing in pain last night and the wailing would make him cough so much he couldn't breathe, repeat. So we let him stay in bed with us all night (one of us held him all night long). Long night. I am hoping so much the antibiotics have him feeling better today. I don't know since he doesn't seem to care during the day, but fingers crossed he has relief tonight!!

The first antibiotic he gave him I had never heard of. I think they are careful about his antibiotics since Russ is allergic to sulfer drugs & penicillin. They put him on Augmentin today. I thought he was getting the yummy pink stuff, I was wrong, this stuff STINKS. Wonder what's up with the shortage of antibiotics..
